Stuck blackBerry trackball of Smartphones

I have a Curve 8900 which I like, but recently the trackball has stopped working.  I can't my email, text, bbm, browser, etc., needless to say, it's extremely frustrating, I cleaned the trackball with alcohol and it seems to work at first but it does not work now.  Is it possible to use the keyboard to reach icons such as e-mail without using the trackball.  I really need to get to my emails and I really don't want to get a new phone.

Thanks for your help.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones stuck on a 'white screen of death '.

    Hello world

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520. Yesterday, he got stuck on a white screen, with a little black clock in the middle (the kind you see when you're waiting for a page to load in the browser).

Even if I turn off my phone, take the battery or put it on charge, this "white screen of death" I read he is described by other people online, won't go away!

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Ok.

If your BlackBerry is turned off the power with a black or white screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Trackball question

So I just got my first blackberry (bought one that has been used on eBay) and he seemed completely new except for a tiny nick on the back cover, but the screen has been impeccable. However, I noticed that for selecting things (alias ' click on ' the trackball), he did not have a click or pushing the feeling at all, it was as if I was contacting the trackball that does not move or make any sign to be pushed. Is it supposed to do this or do normally a clicking or by pushing the feeling? Also, it's some sort of weird scraping noise when I scroll and things, but it didn't matter. Any help?

  • Synchronizing stuck blackBerry Smartphones...

Hello everyone, I m new to the forum and looking for help with all time favorite 'organizing sync' issue... went again yesterday, 9700 increased from 8100 and synchronized with Desktop Manager 7, everything beautiful. But today, I tried to sync again, and it gets stuck on updating the blackberry address book. Just stays there forever as she tries to update the last element of the list (bar shows off 47 48 completed) the first couple of times, this error message appeared on phone: Eception exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app (76) m (which has now disappeared)... Proven system, battery pulls off, uninstall and reinstall the Office Manager, even tried to update the software of the device, no new updates... I use ms outlook 2010 on 64-bit windows 7 and my blackberry os is 5.1.

If someone could help, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the community!

This KB is pre software desktop v7, there may be something similar for you to discover:

    • KB01451 How to enable Sync advanced logging if a wired synchronization fails

You could also try to understand what specific item, it stops on and see if you can recover (for example, delete and re-create the item). The trick is to find which item... I've heard say that if you export from Outlook to CSV it will result in a file that is located in the same order that the synchronization uses to process.

    Otherwise, I suggest this thread:

It begins with a process to start properly and there is an exchange of views, and there is also a post (15) with links to earlier versions of the Software Desktop, if those who are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work... but it worked to much to solve the problems they have.

    Good luck!

    Hello

I have a brand new Curve 9300, and within a week he is a. I updated its OS to version 6, and it worked perfectly.

When I tried to configure my email, he asked automatically updated with the installation of my e-mail service provider software. I chose just ok. I received three warning messages, which I don't know exactly but it was something may not work correctly (with respect to the difference in version). I just kept facility, and he asked to reset.

When I restarted the laptop, it goot stuck to the start screen. Then nothing! The thin status bar below fills BlackBerry logo until either full, nothing happens. When I wait more long (a few minutes), I get a message on a white screen with a small font with "App Error 606", with an option to "RESET".

I took out the battery and restored a few times, nothing different.

    Notes:

    • The LED does nothing, except for a single red wink when it restarts
    • The keboard seems to be sensitive. I get the Alt and shift indicators at the top right when I press on the

Edit: Desktop software indicates that the device is not connected, even if it is attached to the USB cable.

You use BBSAK or JL_Cmder to wipe the device and then load the operating system on the device. Follow the instructions here:

  • Question of Smartphones blackBerry Trackball - scroll to the top

I read through 3 pages of 'trackball' posts on this forum and have tried everything suggested to fix my trackball except out the trackball.  I can scroll down and from left to right, but not to the top.  I stuck firmly IN the direction to go, but nothing.  I rubbed firmly against the jeans we hope to get dust off or outside with no result.

Someone at - it any other suggestion short to disassemble or to store?  I had a few months now, bought off of Ebay, but insured under my career.  And if I take it apart, what are the chances of success?  It's a little scary for me. Don't want to ruin an expensive phone.

  • BlackBerry trackball Blackberry Smartphones

Hello. So I had my Blackberry for about 3 months and I was wondering when I should replace or clean the trackball. I thought that I should replace the trackball soon because it seems that it is kind of loose and feels different than where I bought it. I did the search usual online and discovered there are different prices, from $40 to $12. For example, there is the www.bbrepairshop.com/ for $40 at www.blackberrytrackballs.com/ for about $12. Y at - it someone who can recommend a site they used and explain to me what kind of tools I will need to buy to change. Also, is there another type of maintenance that must be given to the Blackberry?

  • BlackBerry 8310 curve + trackball replacement Smartphones ring / how to place the pins of the ring?

    Hi all

I have a curve 8310 and it's maybe a very stupid question to many of you :-)

Can someone pl tell me in directions whitch I need to hold the pins of the ring before pushing on the trackball?

Thx a lot for the help!

    Kim

For the round bezel trackball, there are pine trees on three sides and none on one side. This side without pins is the upper part of the ring that is inserted with this side non-goupille to the top of the BlackBerry.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Bold 9700 Smartphones blocked (or stuck) with 99% of the loading bar HELP!

    Hello world!

Well, everything is explained in the title, my blackberry bold 9700 is block 99% of the load bar when I reboot it.

Yesterday I had like 3 or 4 updates to some app and then I reboot but now it's blocked... I try to remove the battery several times, did not work, I try to use alt + shift + del several times, did not work, I try to use BBSAK but the blackberry cannot recognize... I don't know what to do and the worst part is that I did not do backup everything (ok so I'm little kind of stupid, but...)

In any case of me HELP

    Thank you!

YES! I found a solution! Working on it since yesterday! It is an application that has been blocked my BB

So for all of you who have had the same problem here's what I did: I use the AppLoader, you will find cor D, F no matter) / Program Files / Common Files / Research In Motion / AppLoader / loader

Launch the loader and connect your blackberry to the PC by USB. BUT it must detect the blackberry before the loading bar reach 3/4. So when the blackberry is detected, quickly click Next, then you should have a list of all your applications. Now deselect the application causing problem (or if you don't know which deselect all to remove all) and then click Next. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE LOADING BAR SHOULD NOT SPEND 3/4. After that it's going to be something and if you see that it blocks just to make a reset in now alt + shift + del 2 times, wait, she returned to the loading bar and try again to detect the phone in the AppLoader who does not close during this manipulation... After all, that things blackberry should restart and hope for you, came back to life. So, in my case, I lost all my photos (don't know why), but at least I'm keeping all my contacts and messages. In any case it's better like this than all lost...

Sorry for my bad English, I think that everything is not really clear, but perhaps that might help someone...

  • BlackBerry Desktop Redirector Smartphones stuck in 'Address Verification '.

We have a number of Blackberry using the redirector and 4.7 Desktop and with our first tour using the redirector software and Desktop 5.0, the redirector remains in mode "Address Verification" not operational.  This didn't happen with curves and a "BOLD" that installed fine and work using the redirector without problems.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Problem solved.  A low 1 x signal and no transfer of capacity made WiFi Address Verification impossible.  We have placed the 9630 inside a car a block away - where the signal 1 x has 4 bars - and the redirector verified address of transfer.  I sure hope Telus is able to improve their network here - slow, weak and full of blind spots!

  • Stuck blackBerry Smartphone email status icon

Hi all.  I just started a new plan with Sprint last Friday and bought a BB Curve 8330 m (red, not that it matters, but it is really easy on the eyes). I was a guy of mobile windows for years... I am always with my line of work (Samsung Omnia/Verizon)...but I really like the BB experience so far.

In any case, on the issue.

I have set up my various email accounts; 1 hotmail, yahoo 1, 1 gmail.  Everything goes well with the installation program, but now I'm having a problem with my e-mail status icon.  I have noticed that the icon should always be 1 email.  I went to each account and earlier marked as read, always 1 notification.  I went back in and deleted front of each account, still shown on the icon 1.  I went through all call lists and the app facebook, marked all read, then deleted. Always have the icon showing 1 email.  After looking a little closer, I realized when I go on the hotmail icon he showed (1), but the opening was nothing in there.  So I deleted my hotmail account and released in market the phone but still have the icon.  Since then, I've deleted all 3 accounts and added them and I still have this 1 email notification.  AGGHHH.

So I'm out of ideas at this point, short a complete reset of the phone.  I just thought I ask here before wiping.  Is this something that escapes me?
