My computer is stuck in a loop of update... I've seen people ask about the same problem and followed the advice that has been given to them, but it did not work for me. It is stuck in safe mode and it wont let me do a cover on it, or do the Offline command prompts. I'm not very good at such things and I'm getting very frustrated. Please can someone help?

· Are you able to boot to the desktop?
· What exactly do you mean by "blocked in safe mode. ?
· Do you get any error messages when you try to run a recovery?
· You can perform a restore of the system to safe mode?
You can disconnect all external devices attached such as printer, etc. and check if the problem persists.

So going to "Shutting Down". The computer shutsdown portable & restarts, then shows the message "Configuring updates...". "once again,.

The progress bar is almost all the way to the end and then stops while the wheel keeps spinning. What is the size of the disk hard that is installed on Windows 8?

-Uninstall the older programs.
-Archiving of files, photos, videos on an external hard drive.
-Remove the old system restore points and reduce the amount of space drive, that system restore uses

Click on advanced system settings

Under disk space use, slide the button to reduce the amount of space used by system restore
