Stuck in uninstall Windows Live Toolbar from Windows XP

When I try to install just Bing Bar, it always times out, then I saw how to uninstall Windows Live Toolbar on the Live Solution Center, so I tried that, but I have problems.

When you try to uninstall Windows Live Toolbar from XP, so I can install the Bing toolbar, I get as far as "click on uninstall", and can't click on "continue". no selection not appear and 'continue' is grayed out. (I let sit like this for about 1/2 hour and having other things around the House; when I came back nothing had changed).

Thanks for any help.

  • How to uninstall Windows Live Messenger in Windows 7

I need to uninstall Messenger. When I installed MSN and clicking 'custom installation' I hope I have the opportunity to choose, but they DO you have messenger. WHY?

I disabled the 'sign' page in and in 'options', but again, the window opens and connect automatically when I log in MSN.  This is a nusance, why they just assume you want to converse. I never do.

Help, please. From what I can tell from these forums (I've not seen one for Windows 7), it must be hard to do, and the first thing usually does not work. Could you please be patient with me to help me get rid of this?

    Thank you very much.

Go to programs and features > do you think Windows live Messenger or Windows Live Essentials from the list?

If you see the Windows Live Essentials > right click > click on uninstall > watch the screen, it will ask you which program you want to uninstall > select Windows Live messenger. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • How to uninstall Windows live essentials so when I try to reinstall all of them appear as the installation options?

I'm using IE8 and windows live essentials. I tried to uninstall windows live essentials and it was no problem. When I downloaded the game to reinstall again had the options to reinstall one of them with the exception of one who was not installed. How can I clean uninstall live essentials so everything is reinstalled again?

    Hello godsdragon,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

It shows that you have a corruption in your file system.
    Run the System File Checker:

    Click Start
Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
    Click on "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.

    Restart your system

Then try again and download and install Windows Installer Cleanup Tool. Click here to download the utility.
You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

If this does not work uninstall, reinstall the program and then try to uninstall again. Usually, this will help to eliminate all aspects of the programs.

    I hope this helps.

  • uninstall Windows live essentials

I am on Windows 7 with a 64-bit laptop DV7. I have problems with Windows Live Mail, because when I click on the Inbox, sent. deleted etc, nothing happens. The only way I can get to my mail is to use 'Find' or to go to my Plusnet account. This is a nuisance. I have been informed through groups of Microsoft users that the best way to overcome this problem is to uninstall windows Live Essentials and instructions on how to do are on the Microsoft Web site. However, when I try I can't bring up the windows that would allow me to do. (see "how to remove and reinstall Windows Live Rssentials - I can't past 3 and" can't not "Uninstall") Could it be because there is a slight modification to the Hp software please, and if so someone can tell me how I can uninstall and then reinstall. Otherwise, it seems now that I'll have to go through the pain of complete recovery to try to resolve the problem. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. GordonW

  • When I press any button on the Windows Live toolbar, I am re-directed to the website of go.microsoft.

original title: WHAT IS THIS (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=199831)

WHEN YOU PRESS ANY BUTTON ON THE WINDOWS LIVE TOOLBAR I HAVE THE 'GO. MICROSOFT ETC' AS ABOVE ADDRESS THAT PRODUCES A PAGE NOT FOUND IN RESPONSE.

I DON'T THINK IT'S MALICIOUS SOFTWARE OR OTHER, I REALLY THINK THAT IT IS IN YOUR HOME (MICROSOFT) WITH SOME PROGRAMS OR WHAT WENT WRONG.

I DO NOT USE THE TOOL BAR LIVE NOW SO THE PROBLEM DOES NOT AFFECT ME, NOT MORE (OR IN OTHER WORDS I HOPE) BE FINE IF I COULD GET RID OF THE ADDRESS.

ANY PARAMETER ON THE INTERNET OPTIONS PAGE IS NO HELP SO CAN'T THERE GO.

I AM PLEASED WITH HOTMAIL AND I HAVE NO DESIRE TO BECOME.
