Help me.

@souvikk

The hard reset is a common tool that we use for laptops and printers and often heals a large number of questions.

Because so many features built in batteries to maintain some memory, this is one of the ways to identify if it seems like it might solve the problem.

Give it a try.

  • Update stuck after reboot

    Hey guys,.

So I don't have a lot of information because I wasn't trying to update, but here's the problem:

I restarted my computer, and an update coming. The white progress bar fills up then it 100% and it gets stuck there. He was stuck there for 30 minutes - 1 hour then I rebooted. Same thing happens again. So I try to restore from a Time Machine point from a week ago. Machine time finishes and the computer restarts... same screen update, fills to 100% and gets stuck. Moreover, that Time Machine specific backup is the only one I have.

Not sure if this is important, but I have recently (last days) installed a few programs and changed my .profile file according to the instructions for installation.

I tried to boot in SafeMode as well but the computer just goes to the update screen even if I hold down the SHIFT key. Don't know what to, any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

I assume you tried to reinstall the original recovery image. It should work.

Enter the BIOS and set it to default settings. After that restart your computer and press F12. Choose the USB device as the boot device and try to restart recovery image installation.

  • Windows Update problem! Now it is stuck in a reboot loop!

I have Windows Vista on a Dell Latitude D620. Today I did a

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your falls into the above category: download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

  • Cannot access Windows XP stuck in reboot Mode without failure and encrypted HD loop.

I am currently stuck in Safe Mode reboot loop. This happened after I opted to enter Safe Mode via MSconfig (box checked/SafeBoot in BOOT. INI tab). I am unable to secure through all normal boot, command, etc.

I have already installed Recovery Console but I try to use it, I get the error "UNMPOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME" on blue screen.

I don't have a Windows XP CD, so last night I started with Knoppix successfully but can not access the Boot.ini file. I think it's because the encryption (Encryption Plus Hard Disk of GuardianEdge) provided with the laptop software. Before this has is spent, during the boot process, I get the login screen of encryption before Windows XP starts. Without this step, I can't access all the files.

My question is this: is it possible to achieve connection encryption while that started using Knoppix?

I'm completely locked out of my laptop. I appreciate any help you can offer.

    Thank you

So I had to use the Vista recovery to repair/restore my computer disk using the system to start Windows restore to be able to start Windows.  Then I retried Windows Update again, and it was always exactly the same.  Then I tried to isolate the updates and finally went down in KB2618444 (Cumulative Security Update for IE8) which causes this problem which always has the same symptoms as described above.

Computer is stuck in a reboot loop, while security updats

    Hello

1 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?

    2. do you get an error message or an error code? If Yes, what is the exact full error message?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to run the system in safe mode restore.

    Step 1:
Try to start the computer in safe mode, here is the link:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:
Once you start the computer in safe mode, try to perform the system restore and check that if it helps, here is the link:

What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

If you were able to start your computer normally by using the system restore, then refer to the following method, and try to update your windows.

Method 2: To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • After trying to install the updates. my computer is now stuck in constant reboot mode while showing "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%, do not turn off your computer.

    Visa update problem

After trying to install the updates.  my computer is now stuck in constant reboot mode while showing "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%, do not turn off your computer.  I tried to follow the instructions provided here because it seemed to be the same problem.  But when I restart and hold down the F8 key so I can boot into safe mode, I tried selecting safe mode and I get the same results, and I tried again by selecting the option 'Disable automatic reboot' which seems to be an option on the same page with the option of safe mode.  Whatever it is, the same message comes back and I can never get to where I can see my desktop to click 'start '.  I can't get out of this cycle.  I installed the update because it said I needed to install it.

    *************************************************************************************************************************************************

Turn off your computer by holding the power button for about 20 seconds.

Start your computer in safe mode: press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure:

    • Click Start
    • Click on Control Panel
    • Click on system and Maintenance link.
    • Click on the system link
    • In the left pane, click Advanced system settings
    • Locate the startup and recovery area, click the settings button.
    • In the startup and recovery window, uncheck the box next to automatically restart.
    • Click OK in the startup and recovery window
    • Click OK in the System Properties window
    • Close the system window

After that... While STAYING in safe mode I do a system restore and maybe try a manual install of the update later.

For the sake of space I refer you to the article about how to proceed.

  • Tried to update in Windows Vista Home Premium, stuck in the "Configuring updates" and "reboot" loop 11/05/2011

Hello! I have a portable M-6752 Gateway under Vista Home Premium.  It was perfectly functional this morning 11/05/2011.  Then I noticed the sign (of exclamation in a circle) who said the new updates.  So I started the update and thought nothing of it.  It was until an hour later and I realize that my laptop was still updated.

Right now I am stuck in a loop between "Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3-0% complete.»  Do not turn off your computer' and auto restart.
I tried to restart in 'safe mode' and 'safe mode with network.  These attempts did not help.  I'm still stuck in the loop and my laptop is overheating.  The only thing I could do was to be able to.  Fact that several times already.
Fortunately, I have another laptop and is able to ask for help.  Can someone help me?  I'm NOT a technical person.  Thank you.

Thank you, but my laptop WAS running Service Pack 2 when this problem happened.  It has been resolved.  For anyone having this problem, here is my experience and solution.

When I found myself stuck in a loop and my laptop keeps restarting without giving an error message, it began to overheat.  I turned off.  When I turned on it again the screen "Advanced Boot Options" appeared.  I chose 'Safe Mode'.  Then, I went to "Configuring updates...". ».  Machine started himself reboot again.  It happened a few times.  Finally I had to turn the phone off again.  All of a sudden when I turned on again, the "Windows Error Recovery" screen comes on.  There is a choice, 'Launch Startup Repair'.  I chose this.  Machine asked me if it is allowed to create restore point.  Of course.  Then I GOT!  I was saved by Windows self-diagnosis program.
If you are not familiar with the screens that I mentioned, please search 'screen name' and the word 'image' as a whole.  You will see what these screens look like.
Now I realize there is another way to reach the Startup Repair.  When you turn on again, press the F8 key several times.  Which will bring you to the early Startup Options screen.  On advance Boot Options, there is a choice 'repair your computer', scroll down to this choice, press ENTER.
Turning off my machine during the restart is another way to force the "early start Options" screen appears.
I read that some do not have the "Repair your computer" option according to your PC in the screen «In advance Startup Options»  You will need to know how to get to the "Windows Error Recovery" screen.
As a last resort, you can restart Vista recovery disk.  Many manufacturers do not understand that when they send the PC for you.  However, it is available for download for free on the internet.  You can download and make your own within 30 minutes.  I hope this helps!
