Submit button not working not properly

I use below successfully for years on a form and have recently extracted one a short version of the page of the form and remove 6 pages.  The send e-mail button does more work on the version of a page (though still works fine on the other version).  Checked to make sure no fields that are used in the code for the Send button have been removed, they are all still in-tact in the version of a page.  When I distribute and test, it will get instructions, but when I click on ok put it to the top of the email, it sounds right and nothing happens.  It seems to only use 3 fields - the SubjectDate, which is a date field (FormCalc setting = $.rawValue = field Num2Date (date (), "YYYY")), Company_Name and Contact, who are still on the form.  Any ideas what I missed or accidentally deleted when the version of a page?  Thank you.

// First give a messageBox with instructions
xfa.host.messageBox("This will open your email client and prepare an email for you. " +
                        "Please make sure you send the email to complete the process." +
                        "\n\nIf you experience any difficulties or if you are using a " +
                        "web based email client, then please save this form and " +
                        "manually email it to [email protected]\n\nThank you!", "Email Instructions", 3, 0);
xfa.host.beep("3");

// then pass instructions through to email client

var vEmail = "[email protected]";
var vSubject = SubjectDate.rawValue + " Procurement Info: " + Company_Name.rawValue
var vBody = "Hi\n\nPlease find our attached completed Procurement Info form.\n\nRegards,\n\n" + Contact.rawValue
var obj = event.target;

event.target.submitForm({cURL:"mailto: "+ vEmail +"?subject=" + vSubject +"&body=" + vBody,cSubmitAs:"PDF",cCharset:"utf-8"});obj.close();

Hello

While the three objects may still form, the relative reference of the key to all things may be different. For example, all three references are on the grounds that the three objects are in the same container as the button.

Check that the references are correct. See a discussion and an example here: http://assure.ly/kUP02y.

Hope that helps,

Niall

  • Can't get my submit button to work?

    Hi guys, im new to dreamweaver. I've set up the contact form on html. I also implemented the php code and everything seems fine. I transferred my website and everything is going well except when I fill the contact form and press on submit nothing happens. Someone has ideas on what has gone wrong, I spent a lot of time on it?

    Thanks a mill for any help in advance

    Well, I have to go out, so not having heard of yours, I won't post the url you sent me,

    rather just paste my answer here:

    The error most important is that your submit button is named 'Submit', but your code mail.php calls for 'submit' (with an "s" in lower case) they must match, then change one or the other as they.

    Then if you look at the code on your page, you will see the name and id attributes differ from many of your input fields, for example

    td>

    The too must be the same, AND must match what is in the mail.php file (as it happens all the "name" attributes are correct, so change the id values to match them.)

    Gotta go out now.

    Hope that does the trick. I'll check back later.

    WTF?

    Aaron, no thanks to Adobe (and a big thank you using Google Apps,) I finally could solve this problem.  The way the document authenticates in the back-end is through Google + Apps Admin profile.  Once I entered in the Console administration, compatible Google + for the created domain a + profile for the admin of the field, the auto shape filled the signature form after that I have authorized access to authentication on the shortcut menu.  Not sure if your situation is in Google Apps, but even if not, I'd be willing to bet that the problem on your side is the account that is used for authentication when you open your form.  I hope this helps!

  • Submit button issues

    I have various problems with my button "submit" on Acrobat XI using a PC.  I'm trying to publish it on a Web site.  Users can fill in with Chrome, but can't submit - button not responding.  Users must download the form, if you use Firefox.  They can fill it out on this browser.  Also, I put the action to submit to be on the mouse at the entrance.  The continuous form "submit" every time that my mouse scrolls above the button.  Am I missing something?  I'm kinda new to active forms.  Thank you!!

    You must use the event mouse up, not mouse enter.

    You have configured submit button to send to a web server or if you use a type mailto URL?

  • Volume buttons not working not properly

    The volume buttons on my keyboard do not seem to work right. When I adjust the volume, it is assumed to be a blue bar on the bottom screen to show how much the volume increased/decreased. For some reason, it does not show. That's all just annoying because I don't know how strong my volume is without clicking on the "speaker" icon.

    The volume buttons still work. He can always put on mute, raise or lower the volume. It just does not display it on the screen when I press the buttons.

    Try these 2 links and install, then reboot the pc.

  • Submit button does not work after upgrade

    I've recently updated to Acrobat X Pro and Office 2010.  I'll set up a simple form with a "SUBMIT" button below to send the PDF filled to e-mail the company.  I did this successfully in the past with 9 Pro Extended and Office 2007.  However, now when the button is clicked and the screen asking if I have a desktop or web email client returns, I answer desk, and nothing happens.

    Is this a known problem or I do something wrong?

    Thanks for your help!

    I steal you response that George gave to a similar question, because it turns out that it applies here as well:

    George Johnson February 23, 2012 11:17

    When you distribute a form, it replaces the e-mail address that you have configured in a submit button with the address that you specified in "Edit > Preferences > identity > E-mail address. So before of you start the process to distribute the form, change the email address it to that you want to use.

    ******************

    This is a ridiculous solution, because this means that I have to do the identity of my personal copy of Acrobat email address of someone else or some other service when I do the form, but whether - at least the form now sends.

  • HP Deskjet 3512 panel buttons not working not

    I have just very this printer yesterday and everything seems to work properly. The test print, then scan worked with out a problem. Now, today, I tried to check on something and when I was using the control panel buttons, the back button and the up botton do not seem to work. I tried all the other buttons and they are fine. I also tried unplugging the impression, then pluging it back. The problem has not disappeared.

    Any ideas on how to get these buttons to work?

    Thank you.

    UPDATE - the printer is not 3512 3510 posted previously.

    As mentioned previously, this printer was purchased on Sunday (03/31/2013).  The printer comes with a factory warranty 1 year.  I would advise to call the HP Technical Support about this printer due to the problem that you are experiencing.

    If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • Muse Submit button (contact form) are not sent bus catalyst

    I worked through the tutorial intro to Muse (where you set up the site of the Katie bakery) and published, Muse, as a temporary site to Business Catalyst. But in this area, the Send button does not work.

    Background:

    The page of the form (contact us) tutorial includes a form with a "submit" button. The tutorial shows how the Send button is configured with several States to indicate that the shape is click after: presenting, submit successfully or submit does not succeed. The tutorial also shows how to enter an email address to send to. In addition, the tutorial explicitly pointed out that you can publish the site to Business Catalyst to test the submit button and make sure that it sends to the correct email address before make you the site live.

    I have configured the Send button to send to my e-mail (a real one). I also published the Business Catalyst site just as shown in the tutorial.

    However, when I click the button Submit (excerpt from businesscatalyst.com site), it does nothing. It does not change its State (other than to change color when you go over it) to show that he does anything once you click on it. And I don't get any email from the form.

    I have reviewed the information in Troubleshooting Muse form Widgets used on the servers of third parties, but none of these tips have helped. And besides, businesscatalyst.com isn't a 3 rd party server. It goes without saying that the Send button should work from Adobe's own site.

    Why the submit button won't work, even after following the steps in the tutorial explicitly step by step? If I can't work on the temporary business catalyst of the site, how am I supposed to feel confident that it will work if I try to live somewhere else?

    Update: I just tested it again, by adding a new form Widget to another page of the tutorial site. I just copied the default form (name, Email, Message fields) and placed value on the Menu. Then I republished on the site and re-tested the submit button. And now, the new Send button in the page Menu works and also the submit button on the Contact page (from this tutorial).

    I don't know if the assets of the tutorial were corrupt so that the original send button wouldn't work, or is it add a second button send the first button to "wake" another page Submit or if Adobe changed something on their servers during the night to allow to the Submit-button. I know, it's that one change, he works now as I expected to work.

    (For the record, yesterday I deleted and republished the site several times, just to make sure that this was not something that occurred at the time of publication. So who is excluded as a cause).

  • Signature field and submit button does not

    I've recently upgraded to LiveCycle Designer ES2 and problems with certain features.  I created a form with 3 fields of signature and a send button for the final signatory to email on the back of the form.  None of the signature fields works; or not the submit button.  I did everything the same as I had in the previous version of the software.  However, it seems that there are a few changes that I know.  I read about locking objects, but got a little confused.  Can someone tell me (in very lay terms) what I need to do to get these functions work?

    I don't see a screenshot. If you have tried to contact by e-mail, that it won't work, you need to use the interface of the forum.

    In any case, to enable a document depends on which version of Acrobat you are using:

    Acrobat 8: Advanced > enable usage rights in Adobe Reader

    Acrobat 9: Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader

    Acrobat 10: File > save as > Reader Extended PDF > activate additional features

    Acrobat 11: File > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > activate tools plus (includes filling form & save)

  • Script to validate a field when submit button does not

    I have a script to validate certain fields and generate an error message if the fields are empty or not filled out correctly. Everything works well except for one of them. I'm trying to generate an error message if one of the fields has an invalid format in it. For example, the format must be "XXXX. XX "(all numbers) so if they enter"XXXX"generates the error message and does not have a shape. I have a setup of the function in this area and it works but unfortunately users ignore the error message and submitting the form when same and this field really need to be right before being transmitted.

    That's what I use for this:

    var bCancel = false;

    var strMsg = "";

    {If (getField("Tracking").value == {/ ^ \d{0,4}(\.\d{0,2})?$/})}

    bCancel = false; }

    If (getField("Tracking").value! = / ^ \d{0,4}(\.\d{0,2})?$/) {}

    strMsg = "Invalid Format. Please correct before proceeding. (EX: 0000.00) « ;

    bCancel = true; }

    So the problem is it generates the error message now even if the format is correct. I do not know I did something wrong, but I wrote the format in the same way (/ ^ \d{0,4}(\.\d{0,2})?$/) when I ran a script to format custom in this area and it worked fine, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I am also including this part of the script with the rest of the field controls in the submit button. So altogether it looks like this (just with a lot more fields, does not include all the bc it gets quite redundant)

    var bCancel = false;

    var strMsg = "";

    {If (getField("Tracking").value == {/ ^ \d{0,4}(\.\d{0,2})?$/})}

    bCancel = false; }

    If (getField("Employee_Name").value > = 1) {}

    bCancel = false; }

    If (getField("AcctNbr1").value > = 1) {}

    bCancel = false; }

    If (getField("Tracking").value! = / ^ \d{0,4}(\.\d{0,2})?$/) {}

    strMsg = "follow-up field format is invalid. Please correct before proceeding. (EX: 0000.00) « ;

    bCancel = true; }

    If (getField("Employee_Name").value == "") {}

    strMsg = "at least one required field is empty for export. Please fill the required fields (in bold) before continuing. « ;

    bCancel = true; }

    If (getField("AcctNbr1").value == "") {}

    strMsg = "at least one required field is empty for export. Please fill the required fields (in bold) before continuing. « ;

    bCancel = true; }

    If {(bCancel)

    App.Alert (strMsg);

    } else {}

    this.mailDoc({)

    bUI: true.

    cTo: " ""[email protected]", ".

    ({bassujetti: ' form returned: interview form "});

    }

    I'm fairly new script, especially in Adobe, so I probably did a great job with this. Please let me know if there is anything I should change to make it work better. Thank you in advance for your help!

    Yes, it's really hard to tell what is happening without seeing the file. You can post here, but if you can't post elsewhere (e.g., acrobat.com), feel free to send me by e-mail (see my profile) and I'll take a look.

  • "The operation is not allowed" error when you click on the SUBMIT"" button.

    I created a form in Acrobat 9 with a "submit" button in order to send the entire form by e-mail.  Under the export format, the PDF the complete document option button is selected.

    The submission is a hidden button until the user presses a button (accepting a warning in the codument; irrelevant); then the Send button appears and can be clciked on. It works very well

    It seems to not work on some browsers MS Internet Explorer or Reader 9 and will return the error "the operation is not allowed.

    The URL field is defined as

    mail to: [email protected]

    On Safari (MAC) browser, when you press the option button to display the Send button, the Send button at all.

    Any ideas?

    I have no idea about the appearance on the MAC, but submit with drive problem, it's that you must enable the form for readers to submit the entire form. There is no need to submit the entire form as FDF or XML data files are easily import the form in Acrobat. The problem with the activation of the rights of the reader, is that you are limited by the license to 500 copies. If you get more than that, you're violating the license. You can negotiate with Adobe if you plan to spend for a substantial sum. If you do not enable the rights of the player, then people should have no problem with the submission (with the exception of any mail problems - a danger of using electronic submission) and you would not have a problem with the license.

    It would be useful to know if you have created the form in Acrobat or Designer. There are significant differences.
