  If your problem isn't at all like mine, I have a solution for you.  Two things.  First of all, you will probably get their back to alphabetical simply quit iTunes and restart.

  However, you may need also a more involved issues like I did.

  I had not only of new playlists are going down, but in many cases (but not all), any playlist I clicked on that jump down!  I came across a solution today.  I was working on one of the selections that are still in place, but changed the opinion of "Playlist" (the one that shows a small pocket followed by the name and some other information file) to a called «movie Lists»  "Lists of film" is a playlist folder that contains a number of smart playlists, including the one I was working on.

  Well, as soon as I changed from this point of view, this playlist jumped to the bottom of the list.  Then, I checked all the smart playlists in each playlist file.  Of course, everything that had the view set to the name of the folder that they were kept jumping around.  I could change the 'Playlist', or 'Movies' (or what type the playlist was for), or 'Genre' and they move.

  So I suspect that if your playlist jumps down when you click on it, if you check your records, you will find that point of view is the problem.   Change the display (selection on the top right side, just under the box "search") and solve the problem.  Then, quit iTunes and restart to bring back them to alphabetical.

  It is not clear what you mean by this statement.

  • There is an option in the contacts window in kind (names) of > name -is that what you mean?
  • Or that, when you open / switch to the contacts window, you see a list sorted by last name?
  • Or that when you click on to... or start typing in the to... box in a message composition window, you see a list ('contact selector') sorted by family name?

  Only in contact with an e-mail address will appear in the "Chooser". The list includes names in alphabetical order. For contacts with a first name and a registered name , the list will be sorted based on the preference granted to sort by in the Contacts window. Contacts with multiple email addresses will appear once for each address with the address in brackets after the name.

  Name is a special value built by WLMail contact data fields. It will consist of the first match found during the analysis of the data fields in the following order:

  1. Nickname
  2. First name + last name (in the order specified to sort by in the Contacts window)
  3. First name or last name
  4. Company
  5. E-mail address
  As you start typing in of... box, WLMail will present a list of matching entries in your contacts list. You can start typing username, first name, first name, company, e-mail address to a contact or any significant word in the Notes field for this contact. So, if you type bil, for example, the list that appears will include
  • any person whose nickname starts with Bil, e.g. Billyboy
  • any person whose first name begins with Bil, e.g. of Bilbo Baggins

  Additionally what Colum offered, if you choose to keep a non-binary index (these are my preferences), you can right click on the index and sort the words. (Inside RoboHelp, not in the compiled output)

  Hello Ferds,

  In Windows Explorer, simply type an asterisk in the search engine to return all the files and folders in the folder parent.  You can click on any column heading to sort the results in this column.

  It is a good workaround (thanks Mr Wizard) If you want to view the files in this way - but the procedure does not correct how Explorer files are sorted in the records themselves. And you will have to do it every time you viewed a folder because the search procedure would not automatically from window to window transfer and may not be assigned to do.

  Make sure you are in the Details view, then right-click on a column heading and select more to choose the fields to display. If you select name or subject, Date, from and to, you'll get pretty much the same view in Windows Live Mail. You can activate the preview pane to read messages, even if you find that Nanny W7 will not allow you to see the pictures.

  Activate the user display name by default the value is no if set to Yes, the full user name appears in the welcome message box in the upper right of the EMP workspace.   One thing I would do it immediately to make changes in your code, regardless of anything else - hfm one Manager: substitute you fully sublayout, so you don't need to extend HFM. Implement your own getPreferredWidth and getPreferredHeight to be on the safe side and you've got yourself a personalized presentation of fine Manager.

  You have a typo in your setExtent fault - it should probably be setExtent (width, hieghthfm). Your setPosition also made a lot of sense - decide what you really want to be there. It defines the X, Y of the upper left corner of your manager. I'm not sure that you need-your DialogFieldManager should take care of this.

  Finally - check how much width you spend in your layoutChild (Field1,...)-your widfield2 might be too small so that it shows something significant. Don't forget no-ButtonField has its own, relatively complex, on the page, including some padding around the text.
