  Do you use an external monitor Samsung, and maybe have you installed MagicTune software on your laptop?
  Please check this box.

  As far as I know software Samsung MagicTune can permanently disable the integrated computer Toshiba LCD display screen. Why?

  After letting down my laptop, the screen broke, leaving me with 10% visibility.
  Can someone tell how to swith the RGB video using the keyboard so I can then display the image on a TV?
  Also, is there a way to put a blank dvd in the drive and a command to copy the contents of comps on it via the keyboard?

  Have tried to connect the rgb then start the machine and also by pressing FN + Ff5, no response, although it seems to work very well, out of the screen!

  If you want to connect your laptop to the TV I recommend to use the S-video cable. When connected using the FN + F5 combination and switch to the TV only. Also, be sure that the S-video port is correctly enabled on the TV.

  Sorry, but can you tell me what is the problem with the TouchPad? Why you want to use the keyboard only? There are just screen problem?

  I work in a computer shop doing repairs and sales. We are big fans of Toshiba laptops and very rarely problems of experience with those we sell. I see, however, that the Satellite L650D-102 seems to have a design defect with regard to the way in which the display is anchored to the bottom of the laptop plastic. I had half a dozen computers laptops that were brought back to the shop with a display of 'loose '.

  After disassemble the laptop I noticed that where it screws into the bottom plastics it is really broken since the bottom plastics. I was wondering if this would be covered by warranty Toshiba or if someone else has this problem?

  I m wondering really you have noticed this on Satellite L650D-102. General design of laptops and the hinges of the screen in particular should be the same or identical on the series L650/L650D.

  As a result of this forum, I guess you're the first person who claims on this subject. In any case, I recommend you contact the closest service Toshiba and pick up some info on this. I hope that the guys at Toshiba will be able to give you all the necessary information.

  Return to warranty. If this broken hinges are the result of some defect or Design materials failure I m pretty sure replacement will be covered by the Toshiba warranty. Of course cell must not be already dismantled by an independent service initially. This will void the warranty of Toshiba s.
  Only authorized Toshiba service provider is allowed to disassemble the laptop.

  HI Kohorta,

  There are few things you can do if you have forgotten your BIOS password. The only effective way to reset it is to take the appliance to your nearest authorised Service partner who has the necessary equipment for re-flashing your BIOS chip. They generally must prove you your ship-owner of the laptop before it will change.

  You can find various utilities listed on some websites and also some means to bypass the BIOS password, but they are absolutely not guaranteed to work on most modern laptops.

  Hi, I bought a new Toshiba Satellite P100-160 of Currys today.
  I bought it for the primary purpose of the use of broadcast software OtsAV playing at live concerts between shows.

  It is difficult to say if the 500 GB will work in this good old classic... I think that 250GB should be sufficient for all applications you want to install.

  However, you could try the 500 GB. If it doesn t work you can bring back to your computer store or you can test it directly in the shop. Then you'll know if it of an option for you or not. Be creative! ;)

• The right side on Satellite M70 151 is very hot

  I bought a Satellite M70-151 (17 March 2006). It's a very good computer but I have a problem: after about 10 minutes (depending on the application) the part of the right of the label «Designed to...» "and especially the portable speaker becomes hot enough. So hot that the left hand starts to the sweltering heat and work with the laptop is very clumsy. It's hotter than directly above the truck on the right side. I tried to influence with the energy-saving heat, but it did not work. The van is still on but this part of the laptop is still warming. Can anyone help?

  I don't have this camera, but I guess on this disk space HARD is placed and it's because of the HARD disk activity. It is true of my camera, but I can leave with her because I use my laptop with external TFT and external keyboard.

• A technical problem concerning the replacement of the screen on a Satellite Pro

  The original on my laptop screen is a screen with the following reference: NTL154X3 (made by Samsung). Two weeks ago, that I replaced it with a matte screen with the following PL154W01 (made by LG_Philips).

  The laptop works very well since then, but the screen is roughly half as bright as it should.

  Play with FN + F6 increase brightness and FN + F7 decrease. The F6 and F7 works in reverse order compared to what they use to be after replacing the screen. In addition, I have to press these buttons to change the brightness intensification or step down.

  The first time I push the buttons come from the wheel of the brightness on the screen and the watch moves a bit, but brightness does not change. When I push them again the watch moves again a step upwards (or downwards) and this time the screen illuminate upwards (or downwards).

  The replacement screen is not at fault. I think I need to change the inverter on my laptop because it does not provide enough voltage for the matte screen.
  I searched the web for days, but it is impossible to find a reference for the inverter be used with the matte screen.

  To be honest, I put t know if it s a UPS or problem if you simply used and replaced by a screen is not compatible. Who knows?

  But the fact is that all devices (also the FL inverter) and compatible parts can be ordered from the service provider authorized in your country.
  Guys might order the parts directly from Toshiba.

  Call the technicians and ask a compatible converter for this laptop. In addition, you could ask if you used a good LCD.
