  You can uninstall the Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ completely and reinstall the Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 still.

  Step 1: To uninstall the package:

  a. open programs and features.

  b. in the list, find the Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ and click on it.

  c. click on uninstall at the top of the list.

  Step 2:

  Download and install the latest package according to the version of Vista you are using and see if it helps.

  For Windows Vista x 86:

  Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 86)

  For Windows Vista x 64:

  Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 64)

  Windows Update was recently offered an optional update: «Microsoft - pointing drawing - Microsoft Hardware USB Mouse» I installed this patch, which added some IntelliPoint software to my system (customizing button etc.) I decided that I have need this additional software, since I am fine with the default mouse feature. I uninstalled successfully this software from the applet "Programs and features" in the Panel.

  However, this software has left an unpleasant side effect: it has increased the sensitivity of wheel mouse at a very high value. Even if I go in the mouse settings in the control panel and reduce the sensitivity of the mouse wheel at least - 1 line by notch - the wheel is still too sensitive. It scrolls a half page by notch.
  So, how can I restore normal mouse wheel functionality after uninstalling IntelliPoint software? How can I reduce the sensitivity of the wheel in the situation when it is already out there, at least in the mouse applet in the control panel?

  This problem may occur because you uninstall the IntelliPoint software before you change the default mouse settings.

  I recommend to install the IntelliPoint software and then try to change the mouse settings and check if it helps.

  I have a knowledge of basic/intermediate SQL (cleared papar 1 review MySQL DEV last year), now, because of the obligation to work, I got an additional responsibility to Oracle related study and certification.
  
  I intend to go to Oracle 10 G BC - DBA track, and I think going to review IZ0-042 since my co. pays the costs for the oracle for this class.
  
  In order to practice and learn I thought to install oracle on my machine instead of immediately getting in the classroom with empty face.
  
  Let me know which are the best options available
  
  (1) install windows xp on vmware and then install oracle on vmware, although I don't know what version of oracle should I go for some other edition or Express Edition?
  
  OR
  
  (2) install oracle on i.e.directly xp on the physical computer rather than vmware.
  
  OR
  
  (3) install ubuntu (not sure about the ubuntu version was looking for you desktop or server), and then install oracle
  
  I bow to option 1 or option 2, because I'm not very good at linux stuff, and I don't want to spend a lot of time in linux right now, I would have preferred to focus on the portion of the oracle.

  I have a requirement to convert a video file in Windows Media format and the flv format and changes in the resolution, the video bit rate and audio bit rate of the file source video.
  I evaluated this is the free version (Microsoft Expression Encoder 4) but it seems that it doesn't support .flv as output even after the installation of the package of Community code combined as suggested in some msdn articles.
  Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 support flv formats after the installation of a codec? If Yes please let me know the dependent component to convert video files to flv format.
  Please let me know if I buy now then what kind of support can I wait especially after sales of the post.

• Suggestions for CS5 new hardware configuration

  I'm investing in new hardware to run CS5 of the House and I would like your suggestions and comments on my list of requirements below.  My hardware budget is about $750 for the Tower, I already have a beautiful Vizio 20 "monitor, a generic wireless mouse and keyboard.

  The problem that seems to be running is that I don't want a game system performance or a home theater system.  So far, the only way I can hit on home theater systems is not to watch what anyone with TV remotes.

  Preferred manufacturers: Acer/Gateway or HP but consider others.

  The whole system will only work CS5, associated with scanner and printers and an internet connection USB720.  He won't be networked or you need wifi capabilities.  I do mainly web production, some print jobs and no video or audio editing (or if I do it will play only).  Most of the heavy lifting will be Photoshop and InDesign.

  I will install a Wacom Bamboo tablet also after CS5 is in place, and I noticed other assignments that I should download the latest drivers for the 64-bit operating system.

  My list so far:

  OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (preloaded)

  Memory: 8 GB of RAM, + 2.2 GHz (by heart), Quad core configuration, but favorite DDR3 settle for DDR2

  HDD: 750 GB to 1 t or as much as I can get for the dollars

  USB ports: at least 2 more is

  Graphics card: am I locked in NVidia?  If so, the GeForce GT220 looks like standard

  Optical drive: DVD + - R/RW, not interested in Blu - ray

  Audio: everything that makes noise.

  Many users prefer ATI cards.  Personal choice because they

  both work well.

  If you have other data and scratch disks you have at least a C drive is huge, in my opinion.

  There are places that build custom computers, look on the web.

  HP doesn't have a computer with an eSata Port.  Dell computers from model 7100 do.  I bought a 9000.  It has space for 2 additional internal hard drives.  But was disappointed that there only 3 sata ports and one is used by the optical drive.  In order to check that it there are enough ports for what you want before you buy.

  Suggestion: Find a computer close to what you want and then call anywhere in the nearest big city and see if someone can build you one for a similar price.

• Firefox crashes when I restart. I found an answer related to the hardware accelerator but cannot find a way to get to it?

  When I close firefox and reopen it, it lights up briefly and then crash. I am able to open it by clicking on a link that requires a password and use it from there, but that takes some time and its very annoying. I have a Blocker to add and I don't want to get rid of using safe mode. I read something about turning off hardware acceleration, but when I go to tools, theres no button options. IM also using a MacBook Pro.

  You can try to start Firefox in Mode safe temporarily (hold down the option key while starting Firefox) and disable hardware acceleration (Preferences dialog box > advanced > general, uncheck the "Use hardware acceleration when available"), then exit Firefox and try to run normally.

  But if you can extract another thing: crash report IDs which will allow volunteers to see some of the crash reports you have submitted to Mozilla. Please check the last section of the support article "Firefox plant - troubleshoot and prevent assistance fixing crashes" for steps get these IDs crash and then after the most recent here.
