Super slow removal and opening of emails
I did everything from uninstalling/reinstalling, disabling all add ons, deleting the files from msf, running safe mode. Thunderbird is almost dead at this point. everytime I try opening or closing, deleting I get the message "not responding". Please don't make me have to start using another package of e-mail. How do I completely remove all my info from thunderbird on my hard drive and start over?

What is the attachment file extension? If you know what program should open with, just do the following.1. download and save the attachment to the office.
2. right click on the saved file.
3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
4. click on: choose [default] program.
5. Select: The appropriate program.
6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
7. click on OK.This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now. -

· How long have you been experiencing this problem?
· What happens when you try to open the programs?
· You receive an error message/code?
· What security software you are using on the computer?
· Do you have too many applications on the computer installed?
I suggest you try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.
Step 1: Perform a clean boot to see if there is a conflict of software like the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, restore your computer to a Normal startupmode.

Original title: having touble delete messages in Windows Mail
In Windows Mail, I have a problem deleting messages, a note comes up saying "an unknown error has occurred." Messages can be opened with the message "message was not found. I am running Vista with the 32-bit version, so I ran the 32-bit update and received the message that 'update doews not apply to your system. I also ran the 64-bit update but got the same message. Anyone able to help me?
This is usually due to a mismatch between what is in the message store and what is in the database and is usually caused by invading antivirus software (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3). Try to compact and repair the database and see if that fixes the problem (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

When I used Outlook and opens an email I could move on to the next in the list by pressing Ctrl - < (or Ctrl->) which closed the window of the letter being read and open the next letter in a new window. T - bird can do this somehow?

Cannot remove more than 4 emails to trash at once
When I try to delete e-mails more than 4 at once since the trash on my Sony Xperia Z2, electronic mail software crashes with the message: "Unfortunately, e-mail has stopped." Is this a bug that everyone knows about the Z2?
Not everyone – try settings then applications then drag at all - are looking for and open the email application and tap Force close, clear the cache and clear data then restart and test

In Windows live messenger cannot open new emails
When I go into my windows live messenger and try and open new emails I have in my inbox the screen indicates that the page can not be opened by default somewhere sometimes, if I put the back page it allows me to access, but most of the time I can't get anywhere near my box of e-mail or any other that is on this page. Why it wont let me close as page... its driving me crazy

I can't open my emails. By comcast, it's a Firefox issue. I can't open mail in Mozilla and look on Internet Explorer, but it's too slow. Any suggestions?1. place in the Xfinity Connect Lite interface in Xfinity connection preferences.

Installed Malaware bytes Anti Malware and it helped but when I went to open an email message "this is a recommended download. Installation takes less than a minute' comes with a link jvl.lbpack... Have to close it this continues. Even came during the use of this procedure of support!

I just bought a new computer with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I downloaded Thunderbird and imported my old user profile, as I always did in the past. Thunderbird runs incredibly slow. I double click to open an email and it takes 1-3 minutes to open. Thunderbird will display a warning "Not responding" almost every time that happens. Also, if I delete a message, it takes about 45-60 seconds for the program to react and move the message to the trash. Message opening and new or old messages and delete or move the emails to another folder is when problems occur. Write a new message does not appear to be a problem. It is not my internet connection (the link does not show wait times and no other users in my office had this problem). What is the solution? If it can't be fixed then I simply will cease to use Thunderbird as my e-mail program.
Uninstallation of McAfee seems to have fixed this problem (and a bit more with other software). Thank you!
Because I didn't want to be without any protection against the virus, I put Microsoft Security Essentials (free from Microsoft) and it doesn't interfere with any of my programs or software.
