  The runtime on 10.0/10.1 PlayBook and BB10 AIR is 3.1. To compile for this run time, you can use:

  You can usually use a new version of SDK software (e.g., Flash Builder 4.7) as long as you:

  No such SDK is available yet, although it seems likely to be added to the PlayBook, but perhaps not for the Adobe AIR SDK.

• Noob question: autonomous AIR .bar files?

  Sorry for the noob question, yet to learn these things from the air. When we create a .bar file, it is the only file position, does it include the runtime air, flash, etc, etc, or is it always require an accumulation of air / flash runtimes on the device? THX.

  The .bar file does not include the time of execution because the runtime is already preinstalled on the Playbook.

  Air is really integrated into the PlayBook so you don see the difference between a native app or an Air application.

• Audio issue on-line on the Blackberry Playbook

  My video conferencing application is not playing audio live on the Playbook.  He is using Speex, with reading bufferTime = 0.

  I think the Playbook is using AIR 2.5, so it is the same problem that has been reported in Adobe AIR 2.5 for Android and subsequently fixed in 2.6?

  Is there a temporary workaround solution (setting bufferTime to zero)?  Or don't use Speex?  Thank you.

• Restart Firefox 23 causing system?

  Started about 2 weeks ago. Windows 8 System. Normal use is boot, go to the office, review e-mails and normally select one or more links in them to open FF. As I read a page most of the time the system WILL restart. Sometimes it will happen once I have either try to change the tabs or close FF. A few times I had the lock system, and twice the screen has been damaged many multicolored lines. These two require a manual power market.

  Interestingly, once that happens, the system is STRONG the rest of the day and it happens again until the next day.

  My wife (different system) computer locks essentially once a day when you use 23 FF. Happens again until the next day, but it happens not every day?

  Ran the Dell diagnostics on both computers, no errors. I replaced the network drivers and video. I have updated the MS updates yesterday yet. Malicious software controls ran and Norton ISS 2013 protects this computer.

  If my wife did not have a problem of FF I would be suspecting problems h/w, but on both systems?

  Well, it was a matter of "heat"...

  Could NOT determine the real cause however. A lot of possible culprits. The CPU fans (and the heatsink / fan), or for cases of fans. Maybe even a loose cable (power suspect). Unfortunately, it is usually apparent when FireFox has been used.

  Basically, I decided to open the case (office, never moved) and look at the connectors. Saw a LOT of dust on the power supply fan taken, the fresh air fan and the exhaust on the case, the CPU fan and dried dust share of the heat sink that I could see. Installed video card made it impossible to see the fan. I used compressed air to clean what I could see.

  Left the case open, turned on the computer and it does not delete and restart... Good...

  Got a program read the fan speed and the time. Video card read 80 c and 48 C CPU. The two I thought were hot compared to a similar system my wife has (different CPU, only a few degrees cooler and the different map video, much cooler).

  After 2 days of works very well with the case for open and knowing the time, I decided to remove the CPU and fan cover. The radiator was completely blocked by dried dust. Brushed it clean. Remove the video card if I could clean its ductwork and fan. Put that back, engine time up and verified. CPU is 5 - 7 c cooler and corresponds to my wife's computer. No change on the video card temp?

  Program, AIDA64, will focus also on the speed of temp and fan system or components and graphic. Do that and the video showed the temp go up and down between 79 and 85 with the fan speed changes to make these changes. I have seen others with these high on an ATI HD 4780 times, so I accepted it as work.

  Left the case open for a few days and seen when using FF, but it does not change any time of fan speeds?

  OK, the system closed upwards, and since then DROPS No.... SOLVED... do not know the specific problem/fix thought otherwise only to say it was "associated with heat.

• Dell Studio XPS 9100: Case fan care? Cooler CPU upgrade options?

  I want to upgrade the case fans in my XPS 9100, but I've seen much contradictory info in the actual specifications regarding size: are these 92 mm or 120 mm?

  In addition, it is an i7 960: is there a compatible upgrade for the CPU cooler? I don't want or need to COO liquid: want to let it cool a bit. Basic time are constantly around 52 C.

  I think that on all processors in the LGA 1366 socket, the hoses are the same.  On the 9000, I used the cooler DBX - B on 4 different processors in the LGA 1366 socket.  Any socket LGA 1366 cooler should operate, regardless of the CPU.

  The DBX - B can be installed to direct the air in 1 of the 4 directions, depending on how it is mounted.  I have mine pointing upward, to the power supply.  (Note fan blows air in the direction of the fins in aluminium).  Idea is to keep the heat away from the other components of the motherboard and direct it to two fans at the rear (one being in the power supply), which are tailpipes.

• Backup Windows 7 Pro 64-bit question

  I know there are a lot of posts on this subject, however, I want to use a backup program to back up only the My Documents folder. I store everything in that folder that I'm working on. Programs and other things is in the correct places [programs or program etc. (86)...]

  I find too complicated MS backup utility. From my reading, I understand that my best solution is to make a system image backup and perform differential backups, depending on the needs. In this way, if the player C goes down, I can replace, load the image backup and the most recent differential backup, and I should be fine.

  Other information: I wish only to back up the files that have been modified in the folder My Documents, (as mentioned) because that's where I do all my work. Can anyone recommend a very good third party (preferably free) for this program? Thank you very much.

  IMHO, it's tremendous overkill, unless you are a bank or a company of backup of a system of accounting or inventory.  For regular users, 2 or 3 is a lot.  My personal habit is once a month backup.

  If you are about to buy an external hard drive, consider these questions:

  Many of them actually Cook themselves because they have inadequate ventilation.  They can only practically be used for short periods of time.   So look for one with a big deal.

  Children have the 2.5 format disks "that are normally installed in laptops.  They are much more delicate and less reliable.  I would go for a bigger 3.5 because you don't need portability, and they are more reliable and last longer.

  My favorite way to do it is to buy an external hard drive enclosure - they rest well best.  For example:

  VANTEC NexStar3 (NST - 366 S 3 - SV) 3.5 "SATA III 6 Gbp/s USB 3.0 external HARD drive enclosure Silver Aluminum

  Can buy you a type HD 3.5 OEM of any size you choose.  2 TB is a very reasonable price.  It has its own power supply and tends to be aired much better.

  Also make sure that you get one that is capable, able size drive you buy and has a USB 3.0 cable that comes with it - they are different cables USB 2 USB 3.

  Do not use an SSD for this function.

• "App already running" Simulator

  I have a problem,

  I'm developing an application and I run it frequently on Simulator due to the test. The BB OS 6 allows me to run the application on a simulator that is already running, that's fine. But after that the Simulator restarts (which is every time after changing private variables or whenever I start up my Eclipse), the application does not start and if I start debugging, the console has written:

  AM: Start MyApp
  AM: MyApp already running
  AM: in the foreground is requested: MyApp (252)

  Although I don't know that it does not run anywhere, I know didn't before. MyApp is my name of the application.

  I managed to run the application after several reboots and resets the deletion of my application Simulator, but it's too slow, that I need to develop the application fastly. I can't do this procedure as a whole to whenever the Simulator restarts...

  Please, does anyone have a solution?

  AIR is the stuff of Playbook, but I suspect that you develop app to 'normal', i.e. the app for smartphones and not for the Playbook. If AIR will not help you.

  I guess that you receive this message, because you have the module of the currently running system (i.e. the part of your application that runs at the start of the phone). So you might have to reset the Simulator whenever you rebuild your project.

  If you have an application owner of company which is useless or inaccessible to the public, then that is not suitable for the offer.  It should be useful to the general public.
