Support of Q10, Telekom Slovak 4 G/LTE blackBerry to BlackBerry Q10

Hello
last month my Slovak Telekom carrier launched the 4 G/LTE network in our country (www.telekom.sk/english/press-center/press-releases/slovak-telekom-launches-first-nationwide-4g-lte-n... I would use my BB Q10 (SQN100-3) in the 4G network, but my Q10 is not supported yet (network, 4G mode is missing). When will be Q10 supported? Who or what does the 4 G/LTE features depend on? The mobile operator or BlackBerry?
Thank you
Kalliopp

Hi Julobaco,
you reason that Q10 supports all frequencies of Slovak you mentioned. It wasn't a problem with the support of frequencies. There is the problem that LTE setting has been disabled in network mode prior to may 2014. With the last OS update released 10.2.1.3175 in the end of may, 2014 is already active LTE in the network mode menu. LTE Slovak Telekom is available November 2013. This means that I wasn't able to use LTE Slovak Telekom for 6-7 months due to the LTE capability disabled in the network menu with Slovak Telekom SIM card on my Q10. I think it's a lot of time waiting for an update to the carrier. It's finally ok

  • Support for the Desktop Manager 4.3 Smartphones blackBerry Business Contact Manager

    I use the law to manage my contacts (4700 and counting) and have been synchronized successfully with Desktop Manager 4.2.

    I just loaded Desktop Manager 4.3 and discovered that ACT did not appear as an application of support for synchronization of the contacts.  Does anyone know how to sync the contacts of the Act for the BlackBerry 8820 after upgrade to Desktop Manager 4.3?  My current plan is to 4.3 uninstalling and reinstalling 4.2.2 - did someone knows if it creates problems with the compatibility of the versions?

    You can use ASCII importer / exporter

    OR

    You can also use Intellisync for Yahoo!.  You can download it here: http://download.yahoo.com/dl/mail/intellisync.exe

  • BlackBerry smartphones is supported for the East Asian languages for the Blackberry Bold 9780 on O2?

    Hello, I hope someone can help me with my problem. I'm new to the whole Blackberry I just bought my first BB camera a few days ago so please understand if I don't know what words are in the world of Blackberry. The questions will be in bold.

    So, I recently bought a Blackberry Bold 9780 and I am very satisfied with the overall product. However I was wondering if there was support for the East Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc) for my 9780 BB which is on O2 UK.

    Right now, in my languages options, I can only entry for most European languages (English, Spanish, French, etc.) There are no options for languages of East Asia at all. When I try to display all messages or go on the browser which are languages of East Asia, I don't see one set of black boxes.

    I know there are software updates to update your device to take charge of specific languages, so I checked the software downloads page that interests me.

    O2 - UK users, they have two packages:

    -BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.905 (all languages)

    Package Version: 6.0.0.905
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 6.0.0.294
    • Software platform: 6.5.0.54
    • File name: 9780AllLang_PBr6.0.0_rel905_PL6.5.0.54_A6.0.0.294_O2_UK.exe
    • File size: 180,72 MB

    -BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.0905 (Multilingual)

    Package Version: 6.0.0.905
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 6.0.0.294
    • Software platform: 6.5.0.54
    • File name: 9780jAllLang_PBr6.0.0_rel905_PL6.5.0.54_A6.0.0.294_O2_UK.exe
    • File size: 185,61 MB

    Then How do I know which package I currently installed on my device because the application number and the number of software are identical.

    On my device it details shows: v6.0.0.294, (905 Bundle, platform 6.5.0.54)

    So I wonder if none of the above two packages have the option to enable East Asian language support.

    I'm sure I have the latest update for my camera that I can't update more far depending on the desktop software and my phone. So If I move to another package, how do I go to do?

    I mainly use a MAC, but I can also have access to a PC too. I don't know if it's important, but I think that there is a difference between the Desktop software on each computer that is used to update your software.

    If possible, it is that I would be able to download another package that has the support of another service provider East Asia and update on my own? Or is it too risky because it may crash my machine?

    And my last question, so it is likely that O2 can do in the near future if there is no option for the language support East Asia now,?

    Sorry if I rambled on a bit too much or too many questions. I just want to know if its possible to enable language support is now, otherwise I will waste countless hours looking for a method. I looked to see if there were similar questions, asked the Board of Directors, but none was really specific to my needs.

    A big thank you to everyone who sits reading through this. I appreciate the responses.

    Thank you.

    Do not know if you understand how to do this, but I did these steps and it worked fine:

    1. https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=7D2A383E54274888B4B73B97E1AAA491&dl=... go here and download the version of v6.0.0.0905 (Multilingual) BlackBerry Handheld Software.

    2 install the downloaded OS on your computer, you need the files of this new OS more later to add multi language support for your BlackBerry device.
    C:\Program Files\Common search in Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9780AllLang_v6.0.0.294_P6.5.0.54
    The CJK.alx is the file that you will use later.

    3. use Desktop Manager to save your BlackBerry (better safe than sorry)

    4. before installation, go to your AppLoader folder, for example C:\Program Files Research In Motion\AppLoader and move the Vendor.xml to a backup directory, if you have kept a copy of the file. The loader.exe allows to load up the AppLoader, follow the instructions in the wizard.

    He automatically gave me a list of applications and languages, if you scroll down see you East Asian languages check those you want that I checked Japanese and Thai language and font support. If you do not see these click on 'Add' at the top and navigate to the CJK.alx file.

    So let the application loader it's thing, after that everything should work.

    Hope this works for you also. I take no responsibility of bricking your phone.

    BlackBerry should be an option to install more languages via the phone.

  • So I asked Acer support on future updates...

    (21/02/2015 15:01)
    "Hello,

    First of all, I would like to apologize that I have not chosen my country, but I think I'll get more relevant information from the support of England than Slovak.

    In any case, here's my question. Acer will consolidate its liquid smartphones with new updates? I mean recently released version Android Lollipop.

    Can we expect something? More OEM update their smartphones (not just the flagships) but not words from Acer at all.

    As far as I know, there are Mediatek devices with Lollipop, so I guess leaving features introduced in 2014 with 4.4.2 will be huge disappointment not only for power, but for more customers also.

    I hope you understand my concerns that I have, and I hope that I will receive an answer if we, as customers of Acer, receive next version of Android on our smartphones liquid Z500.

    Thank you for your understanding
    Regards. "

    It is by email, I sent Acer UK support 6 days ago. No Czech or Slovak support, because I thought UK would have more info.

    This was their response...

    [edited to conform to the guidelines]

    Completely off the subject's response. It doesn't even have anything to with also the support, which has been the subject of my email. And so, the phone was bought in Slovakia, but the same electro retail chain are located in Czech Republic.

    It's like Acer doesn't care even their customers. And these answers looks autobot messages.

    Europe, Middle East and Africa, usually abbreviated to EMEA

    CUS = custom

    on future updates... I don't know.

  • Support the voLTE for Z3

    Is there a chance that the new update of Marshmallow to the Z3 will finally add VoLTE universal support for all variants of the Z3 LTE? I'm frankly if annoyed that many of my colleagues have phones that support VoLTE and enjoy the entire phone a call without switching to 3 G mode. Note that my carrier has VoLTE support as well.

    D6653 international variant is capable of volte. I use it. Hardware wise, almost all new phones are capable of volte. It's just if the firmware is set to activate.

  • Disable the Passport to the supplier portal Support does not

    I have an existing application for the sale which has been marked as being supported for all devices BB10.  When the passport was released, the current version has been updated automatically show their support for the Passport (which is a hell of an assumption to make, but not the topic of the post)

    As the app is not supported for the Passport, I opened a session in the supplier portal and disabled support for the passport of the current version.  Connection again today, I see that it is still the case.  All the changes you want devices are controlled and passport is not.

    Screen grap of audit this Passport is disabled: http://tinypic.com/r/34gscw9/8

    However, I have just confirmed that in AppWorld, this application is available for the Passport.  Downloaded and installed smoothly (appears broken due to lack of support of passport)

    Did I miss something?  Users are complaining it is understandable that the app is broken for passport and this is wrong our rating

    Thanks in advance

    Hi people,

    A few things;

    (a) before a new device being available in the provider portal (and more if you launch to the public) we send all the BlackBerry World suppliers and let them know the new device, to provide links to resources, etc.  We also note that if your application supports a similar device (and not fail all of the tests made in-house), we will add the new device to your list of supported devices.  The realization of this is not ideal for some/many publishers, we also provide a link where you can opt-out of this process; allowing you to take your time and add the new device on your own schedule.

    (b) If a new device has already been added to the list of devices supported for your applications through the process described above, and that you want to remove, you will need to check your releases which have previously supported the similar device.  In the case of the passport for BlackBerry, you will need to check any release that supports the Q10 BlackBerry and BlackBerry passport to remove from the list of supported devices.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

  • BlackBerry Q10 Q10 - How to filter emails?

    After a recent stint at the new Q10, it seems that all filters email that I had set up for my blackberry service were disabled.

    Obviously, the ability to filter emails (newsletter, etc.) are passed on to the bby is a key part of the appeal of bby, I'm sure that they would not eliminate this feature.

    However - how I put it to the top/reactivate it?

    I have a standard POP3 based corporate email (not gmail, hotmail, etc.)

    I have several e-mail addresses

    I use Vodafone in the United Kingdom

    Thank you for your comments and assistance.

    Hey,.

    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

    When you use BlackBerry 10, you must configure your e-mail filters and rules for the mail server, the BlackBerry Internet service email filter options are not available for BlackBerry 10.

    Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Support different device sizes.

    Hi all

    I need a support to Q10 and Z10.

    the UX and UI are provided by a third party, and they want the user interface to be a little different for Q10 and Z10.

    I went thorugh the documentation in this respect and found this:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/documentation/Cascades/best_practices/resolution/using_stati...

    This, I understand that, we can use QML different for different screen sizes.

    but I develop ui in CPC mu... so is it possible to do in CPP too?

    Help, please!

    There is no folder for C++, so what would you put in?

    So yes, or use a thin layer in a qml file, as suggested.

  • Z10 and Q10 screen calibration.

    Hi guys, I got my first set of HTML5 for BB10.  However, I want to support the Q10 more, can anyone assisit me please how to do such?

    It depends on where you need adjustments, but here are a few useful tips:

    1. in javascript, you can obtain the size of the screen by using the following properties to update the dynamic DOM elements:

    -screen.width and screen.height

    2. with the help of a media query can be made to update the content of your CSS style:

    -@media screen and (device-height: 720px) and (device-width: 720px) {}

    You can play with these properties a bit. If you want the real HauteurInterne/LargeurInterne, which can be useful in case you are always called within another application use the following js: window.innerWidth and window.innerHeight.

  • Play sounds of media on a certain event? "Error: javax.microedition.media.MediaException: no support type.

    Hello, I'm trying to play MP3 files.
    Example, if the answer is just play then "sound1.mp3 '...
    However, I get this error: "" javax.microedition.media.MediaException: unsupported type of «»
    Although I read that mp3 files are supported.
    I used this tutorial " http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/17968/CS_Playing_audio_in_a_BB_device_app_1222... ".

    Note: I use Blackberry JDE 5.

    This is the code that I have actually used (has not changed anything core):

    Try
    {

    Player p = javax.microedition.media.Manager.createPlayer ("C:/Documents and Settings/User/space work/celebrity/res/sounds/RoundStart");
    p.Realize ();
    VolumeControl volume = (VolumeControl) p.getControl ("VolumeControl");
    volume.setLevel (30);
    p.prefetch ();
    p.Start ();

    }
    catch(MediaException me)
    {
    Dialog.Alert(me.) ToString());
    System.out.println ("Error:" + me.toString ());
    }
    catch (IOException ioe)
    {
    Dialog.Alert (ioe. ToString());
    System.out.println ("Error:" + ioe.toString ());
    }

    ------------------

    Thanks for the help in advance

    If you want to reference audio files in your application, the above will not work.  You must code differently.

    try something like this

    Class cl = Class.forName(replace_this_with_your: packageName.classname); //
    InputStream is = cl.getResourceAsStream("/somesound.mp3");

    Create an instance of the reader of the InputStream
    p = Manager.createPlayer (that is, "audio/mp3");

  • error 'BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR does not support mobile projects."

    Hello

    I installed Adobe Flash Builder Burrito and Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 on Windows 7. When I start to create a new project by selecting the ' New/ActionScript Mobile Project' menu, then in the new dialog box project of Mobile of ActionScript, I give a project name, and then choose 'BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe Air. At this point, the 'Next' button is gray on an error message on top as "BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR does not support mobile projects.". Is there something that I am missing?

    I read somewhere someone comlains error message "BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 for Adobe AIR support not projects mobile." occurs after installing Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.4 while there is no problem with Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.3. If it is true, where can I download Blackberry Tablet OS SDK 0.9.3?

    Thank you very much in advance,

    @johnwneg, make sure that when installing FB Burrito, you:

    (1) run the installer as administrator.

    (2) select English International rather than NA English.
