  We recommend using mac pinning ("channel-group auto mode on mac - pinning") when N1KV is used on the blades of the UCS.

  A lot of excellent information, but the section that intrigues me, has to do with the implementation of module of the VSM in the UCS. The article lists 4 options in order of preference, but does not provide details or the reasons underlying the recommendations. The options are the following:

  No, they are different products. vASA will be a virtual version of our ASA device.

  Welcome to the Forums EITHER!  The DAQmxCreateAOFuncGenChan is supported only on products Elvis II.  For other devices, including the 6251, you must use the ordinary DAQmxCreateAOVoltageChan and create your own data buffer.  I would recommend looking in the following example:

  Start > all programs > National Instruments > NOR-DAQ > textual Code > ANSI C examples...

  Analog on > generate voltage > Cont Gen Volt Wfm - Int Clk

  In MAX the Sinewave output is used as a test signal - in this case MAX is a period of the wave sine values to write to the buffer and generate these data.  Again, you can produce a sine wave (or any other function) using the AOVoltageChan, but the AOFunctionGenChan is used only with Elvis II.  Just generate data points for the sine wave that will produce DAQ hardware.

  When I try to go Cisco Nexus VSM the MEC connect get lost and never come back to the top again.

  We have configured uplink port profile as mentioned in the Cisco Document "Install the Cisco Nexus 1000V software". Then, we added three profile more port for control and administration of the package VLAN. But as soon we will the NIC1 (control) of the connection to the lost GET VEM VSM and MEC never appears again.

  -We missed to add the system of virtual local area network for the uplink port profile and the profiles of port for control and Packet of Cisco 1000V network.

  Make a long story short - VSM can now be connected and also tied the MEC. But we constently receive messages "KERN-1-SYSTEM_MSG: a fall received executives of MSM in double - core" as soon as we add a second physical NETWORK adapter to the uplink port group.

  Someone at - it a tip would be what is the problem?

  Tom,

  I was able to recreate what you see. The problem is that just to add another NIC to the uplink without going through the uplink configured for a kind of switch teaming causes issues. Because the N1KV is essentially a switch she expected all NIC teaming to be a port channel or vPC - HM (virtual host port-channel mode). This must be set in the profile of uplink port. When you attach a second NETWORK card without going through the proper switch configuration, you can get the packets of streaming double and a host of other issues. This is why the MSM is complaining.

  I don't know a lot about the 3010. If it only supports a port-channel vPC - HM is the way to go. vPC - HM will create a port channel virtual between the network cards on two different switches without having to make any changes on the physical switches. As long as the switches supported the CDP and the ports are configured the same it should work.

• Cisco Nexus 1000V - DMZ - ARP

  I have a virtual (VM1) connected to a Nexus 1000V distributed switch.  The willing 1000V of a connection to our DMZ (physically, an interface on our Cisco ASA 5520) which has 3 other virtual machines that are used successfully to the top in the demilitarized zone.  The problem is that a SHOW on the SAA ARP shows the other VM addresses MAC but not VM1.

  The properties for all the VMS (including VM1) participating in the demilitarized zone are the same:

  • Tag network
  • VLAN ID
  • Port group
  • State - link up
  • DirectPath i/o - inactive "path Direct I/O has been explicitly disabled for this port.

  The only important difference between VM1 and the others is that they are multihomed agents and have one foot in our private network.  I think that the absence of a private IP VM1 is not the source of the problem.  All virtual machines recognized as directly connected to the ASA (except VM1).

  Have you ever seen this kind of thing before?

  When in a project that I am working to get error-229771 code whenever I try to run 'DAQmx create Virtual Channel (VI)' this does not happen when I create a vi not in a project.  The problem is that this project is very large and it if poster impossible to recreate. It's several hundred vi. Y at - it something that I missed in the forums and support that could explain this. I created the VI below in the project and outside the project. In the project, the error occurs outside the project, it runs without any problems.

  NOTE: This article specifies that the error occurs at startup task VI DAQmx.  You do not use the start task VI, so the task starts automatically in the DAQmx Read function.  The error will occur instead in the DAQmx virtual channel create, that you encounter in your error.

  I had a very simple function written in CVI which adds several global virtual channel

  There is also AddGlobalFunction in MEasurement Studio, but it allows adding of single channel only:

  It seems you are right. The method definition specifies that it only adds a channel:

  Parameters:
  channelName: The name of the global channel to add to the task.

  This could be explained by the fact that the function returnes the proper object of channel associated with the global virtual channel you created.

  I tried to check the reading code 2 Global virtual channel using the DAQ Assistant in Measurment Studio but I wasn't able to get a large part of it (the generated code creates two consecutive calls to the method "CreateVoltageChannel".

  What happens if you call AddGlobalChannel twice?

  I have trouble to set up a virtual channel to PCI-6229.  It comes to LABVIEW 7.1.  I am updating a VI in LABVIEW 6.1 to 7.1.  When I go through the Assistant of MAX, I get it configured how exactly it is about the version of LABVIEW 6.1, but then under device, there are not listed, although MAX recognizes the labview map in the NOR-DAQmx devices section.

  Please help me on this one, as I'm new to labview and cannot find another way for this VI to work but with virtual Renault.

  The PCI-6229 is a map of series M and it is supported only by DAQmx Device Driver

  Since you MENTIONED that it is the virtual channels in LabVIEW 6.1, your old VI must use of the API OR-DAQ traditional (old)

  Howerver the transition from the traditional DAQ in the DAQmx will certainly not be a major concern for you

  Since you're new to LabVIEW, you can quickly adapt to the use of DAQmx

  I had the same question, so I opened a folder of TAC to find the version of the software. I was told that the software listed as available in the bug report are versions of NX - custom OS and that there was no version patched for the 5548p. The support engineer also said that the updates of Nexus 5 k should not until November or December. The best advice I could get was to subscribe to the bug report and wait to be notified of an available upgrade.

  There is no downtime when you change quantity "vmware max-ports" a port profile. It can be done during production.

  You can also create a new profile of port with a test of the virtual machine and change the "vmware max-ports' If you want warm and ferrets.

  The great driver with most of the people running the 1000v I talked to is give visibility to the network team and streamlining changes made to the virtual network environment. In a great organazation with a network operations team, they will create an IVR to route a new VLAN, and then create the new VLAN on all switches distribution and access in the area of layer 2, just 1000v allows them to move forward and it create on the hypervisor using a set of commands that they already know.

  Where did you read that? In the past, we have added the guests, including one who executes the VSM. Usually run us both VSMs (primamry and secondary) and add anti rules affinity so that the two VSMs are on different hosts. I'm not a person CISCO, but having worked with CISCO engineers, we had no problem with what you have just mentioned. It would really be a waste of host in my opinion. I don't see why this could be a problem... As long as you have all your trade (PGs for your packages VSM etc etc) in place, you should be able to add all hosts in my experience.
