Support of windows phone call pretending

I received a phone call from a person who said she was from the Windows Support. She said she wanted to talk about a problem with my computer. I never give information to unknowns, I told her that I don't have a computer. She insisted and said she has a computer registered in my name and added my name to me, just in case I didn't know how to spell!  I insisted on the fact that I don't have a computer, which she hung up without even a goodbye. The phone number that appears on the screen of my phone was as follows: + 971 2 179 514 (the code is that of the UAE, Abu Dhabi, to be more precise). I know that Microsoft may have something else to do, but it would not be a good thing if the authorities took a peek in these crooks/scammers / con artist Set up or in other words the CALL CENTERS that prey on the innocent and unsuspecting of honest people? Isn't this why do laws exist?

I am seriously alarmed when I get a call from an Indian woman highlighted one of the Gulf countries to find that they have information on me and my computer.
Please tell me that when I sign up my computer or other similar devices with Windows or Microsoft, that my personal information is not sold to criminals! Although protection of privacy agreements stipulate that it won't happen.

Fake phone calls to technical support

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

Please see:

http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

It seems that the only info. the woman had been your phone (obtained from the phone book?) number and was just guessing that you got a PC (make most of the households in developed countries).

  • ISE and windows phone

    Ciao,.

Is there support for windows phone 7.x (8.x when he goes out) in ISE?

I want to talk about delivery process:

    -Installation wizard network

-CEP (I think that this is supported by a windows)

or if W.P. will be inserted in a Design Guide for Cisco?

I need to managed W.P. as BYOD.

    Kind regards

    Iarno

I checked that the ISE settings and client provisioning policies haven't labeled phone windows operating system. I also checked the QA and release notes and did not find anything there either. Operating systems that you can check is the android, ios, windows 7 xp... etc. and mac osx.

It would be better for you to open a TAC case to get a definitive answer, my feeling is it is not supported. If you follow this route please post what you find for future reference.

    Hope that helps.

  • I received a phone call from someone who said they were the Windows technical support. I did not understand the person that he was a stranger

The person calling said he could give me a technical support for problems that they had detected with my computer, but he seemed surprised when I said that I had problems with my computer.  I did not understand a lot of what he was saying because of his foreign accent.  Can someone tell me what it is?  I don't think that I may have a virus, but Windows actually call for help?

You were lucky that you could not understand him and so do not buy what he was selling.  It was a scam.  Microsoft does not make unsolicited phone calls.

Insofar as thought, you could have a virus...

  • Phone call to technical support Windows

I just got a call from someone who claims to be from the Windows support. The voice has been strongly accentuated so it was difficult to distinguish what he said, but it sounded like my computer has been infected by a virus that can crash at any second. My security system does not display any problem. It of call for real and has made a Windows tech support person really call me?

  • Phone call from Windows Support is authentic?

I just got a phone call from a man named Philippe de Windows Support. He said that he was receiving reports of errors in my windows and asked me to check Computer Management Applications to find errors. He asked me to remove these errors. I could not remove so he said: if I went to a Web site that he could delete them for me. I refused to let him to the computer via the code and said that I would like to remind him. His number was 02032865123, he said, that it has been supported Windows. He had an Indian accent. It is a call?
It's my son e-mail account, but it will transmit to me.

This is HOAX and FAKE for sure. Microsoft will never contact you unless call you them first and ask for help. Microsoft will never know which PC encourage error.

  • Phone call of support of Windows said I have a virus

I received a call from an Indian man today telling me that it was Windows Support and that my system had a virus on it, and it was dangerous.  I stopped the man and told him that a relative of mine has had the same call and that she had checked that it was not Microsoft and Windows wouldn't contact me by phone unless I had contacted and asked them to call me.  He tried telling me that if I didn't do that he asked that the system would get slower and more slowly and eventually fall down, I told him bluntly that I didn't believe that it was Windows and he was trying to sell me something that I really don't need that I have Norton 360 and had not flashed up problems with viruses.  He told me that Norton 360 was not very good and it would still leave virus (a lie).  I then asked where he got my number as I don't give, if I can help, he said, it is based on a questionnaire (which I had not filled in), I told him that I was a member of the GST with BT and I didn't talk to him more, and he could be sentenced to a fine for call me cold and then put the phone down.

These people don't realize that there are actually certain IT savvy computer owners out there, what really gets me, is that they tell us that they got our information from questionnaires or market research when we have not completed anything, either online or other.
