Supported DLNA with wireless controller?

How do you get music I stored on a compatible DLNA NAS? Guide the user to the DMRW1000 seems to be more focused on usage by using the administrator or the conductor to create and manage my playlists and Cisco Media Player to manage my music.

Can I continue to use Windows Media Player to rip and manage my music and playlists - on my DLNA compatible NAS storage... (and do not use the media player of Cisco) and see everything through a menu on the Cisco DMRW1000 controller and play through my stereo with the DMP-100?

THX

PS OK... I did not see anything in the field of 'preferences' which I was allowed to change my screen name...

3 configurations:

(1) with the pc turned on: I'm sure you can (WMP includes a UPnP mediaserver today).

(2) with the pc turned off and no mediaserver on the NAS - I do not think (but the answer to this always blows in the wind - one Sonos is able to do today).

(3) with a mediaserver UPnP/DLNA on your NAS like Twonky, I'm sure you can. UPnP/DLNA is not a NAS, a mediaserver on the NAS is (or is not).

  • 2504 versus 3850 wireless controller

We are just beginning to look at wireless on our secure networks. We have a 2504 and some WAP 36xx but never installed. We also ordered a couple of 38xx WAP and group the 3850 templates which included the wireless controller. We plan use our Cisco ACS with CERT and AD for authentication.

We're finally going wireless at several sites of fiber attached if cela pans.

To save time by going down the wrong path, I have some basic questions to ask.

My questions are... what (2504 versus 3850 WC) approach is better?   I know the 3850 series may have mulitgibit connections to WAP with the newest 3850 model x, which can be a more thereafter. I also don't know the process of how data is placed the user wireless via the WAP to the local network. Data must tunnel through a tunnel of IPSEC for the 2504 and then placed on the local network to the location of 2504?  Or is this just tunnel for authentication and wired LAN between WAP and switch allows direct data flow?   We have a few wireless on our network, but we use a totally different method.

What bothers me is that if there is a certain wireless access to a corporate network and servers I think 1 GB for the WAP connection could be a bootleneck... esp if the data can not be placed right on the local network to the WAP connection to the switch.

A 3850W model controls the only devices on the local stack or it may go beyond this restriction too? I mean, it's can support 3850W THAT connected to another WAP stack too?

I would not use the 3850 unless your environment is weak, that being said, the 3850 and the AP must be on 3850 or 3650 in your environment. I'd go with the 2504 his stable and you will not regret it :)

  • Wireless controller Cisco 526 & AP AIR-AP521G-A-K9-Question

    Hello

We have several AP 521 in our headquarters main building as well as our remote branches, totalling about 16 AP, four in our main headquarters office and one in each brachh distance.    All AP at this moment are stand-alone devices.

We are contemplating centralized management of ALL our AP devices implementing this controller 526, where we can handle easy to access list of mac or other parameters.

Here are my questions based on reading some documents based on 526 controllers:

    1. I undersland these models AP and 526 controller model are EOL, - what are these end of Support - at this time we are not planing to migrate to the new AP devices yet, maybe in 2-3 years on the road, but definatetly SmartNET is a must on these.

    2. for 526 be able to handle any device of AP, is the peripheral access point must be converted on KNEES, is that correct?

    3. as I read, 526 controller can support up to 6 devices AP 521, if this is the case for example... I can say install a 526 to the main AC controller which has only FOUR peripheral wireless AP and be able to manage also the 2 more devices AP of REMOTE offices that are not directly connected to main office switches HQ but to have connectivity that are across our links WAN MPLS or (wireless AP) should be directly connected to the LAN so that the 526 be able to manage devices, if possible, then that would allow me to implement 3 526 controllers in the HQ Office to handle all 16 devices AP of our entire company... Please correct me if that's not true.

    4. and finally, for example, say I have MAC ACL applied to each AP devices, now with the 526 controller if we go about using centralized management would be that I could create a MAC acl and indicate to the Scheduler to propagate the ACL to the devices all THE AP which are under its management?

    Thank you for your help

    Concerning

    1. This is the end of life announcement:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7306/ps7320/ps7339/end_of_life_c51-568040.html

    2. Yes, LWAPP APs are easier to manage from the 526:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7306/ps7320/ps7339/product_data_sheet0900aecd8060c22b.html

    3. you will be well on MPLS for AP to join a remote control. You may need to change the MTU if you have problems with the junction of AP.

However, remember that if you are MPLS connection goes down, you lose connectivity, so it is a design decision to make.

    4. in the list of features, you should be able to:

  • for windows Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

I tried to find an answer to my question on the wireless controller, I bought today. I searched for more than three hours. Anyway, I am not sure if the controller is connected or not. All by checking the Device Manager, it says that the drive controller works properly. However, I don't see any way of setting properties, the device on my desk and or connection to my games, now, I tried to use the controller for Age of Empires. And nothing happens. I use Win 7 32 bit. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, both the disk, or download it. Nothing seems to work. I also tried to download directions to the controller, but it only downloads the PDF in Chinese. Even though I listed English. I wish we could get answers to such problems without all the hassle. I was told before the purchase of this controller, it would work very well and I could used to play my games on my computer. But it's not working. My next step is to send it back. And go back to using my mouse to play games.

Usually games that use keyboards to play should support xbox controller, such as the one that you drive a car, fighting, games, etc.

A good place to start is:

    http://marketplace.Xbox.com/en-us/PC

Download some free or demo games such as Microsoft Fly and try to see if you can set it with your controller.

  • Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and Windows RT (Surface)

    Hello

I have a Microsoft Surface and would like to try my game controller Xbox 360 Wireless with it that says Microsoft is compatible it seeks here (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/win8/CompatCenter/Home).

I have a play and a cordon of charge I Plug and results in the Xbox controller picked up like "Controller wireless Xbox 360 via Play & Charge Kit" at devices however I don't seem to be able to use the controller to play all games (3D Rocket Riot and Skiddy the slippery Puzzle are the only ones I've tried so far that mention Xbox controllers support).

The controller plugged and pressing the Guide (the middle one), the buttons turns green flash just like its looking for something but do not pick up anything.

    So the big question...

    What I am doing wrong?

I have not tried the controller wireless Xbox 360 on the Surface, but I know that even for general computing, you need a receiver of the controller wireless Xbox 360, not only play & Charge Kit: this device, exactly as his name, cannot charge your controller, and can't do anything else, for example, connect the controller to any other computer , or whatever.

  • WIN Pro 8, xbox 360, z axis wireless controller does not

WIN Pro 8, Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controller, z axis does not.

Axis Z work in the calibration screen, but not in the test screen or in the games must be a driver problem, advice?

Have deleted the driver to allow windows to reinstall the drivers.

Installing the windows driver software 7 for the controller, still the z axis only work in the calibration screen.

I thought that I had the same problem, but see the knowledge base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2757006

Apparently, the problem is only with the test itself dialog box. I also jumped to the conclusion that it must be a driver problem and expects the controller does not work properly in games.

However, the controller DOESN'T seem to work properly in games.

(Mine is actually a Logitech F710, but it uses Xinput anyway).

I hope that your Z axis controller also works outside of the test application, and the information above helps dispel the confusion around this issue.

There is no problem with the drivers or controller, everything works (read below for the explanation and solution)

I had the same problem, with the z axis (Left Trigger (LT) and right trigger (RT)) with a 360 wireless controller by using the adapter on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit wireless controller.

He would not show the entrances to trigger (z axis) on the calibration screen. Looked online and came across this thread in hopes of finding new update of drivers, or a solution.

After reading the post I quoted above, I decided to see if the z axis works in the game, and he does. I tried Street Fighter X Tekken, went to training mode and you can view entries button on the screen, and pressing the RT and LT trigger buttons, they are part of the game and my character not the corresponding move associated with the key as well as to show the button based directly on the screen.

I went then the game controller settings in windows 8 and again once the game controller dialog box does not show the LT and RT (z axis) entered.

Solution: the controller works fine, and not showing is not the z axis is only a cosmetic problem with the Controller dialog box. So just ignore the controller, the z axis dialog box still works in games.
