Supported maximum VCC in nexus 9504

We have a nexus switch 9504 with SUP - A installed in it.

IOS version: NX - OS 7.0.3 (I1) 2 and we have the intention of creating more VDC in it. But in one of the release notes, I read that Nexus 9 k doesn't support multiple vdc.

Currently, Cisco Nexus 9000 Series switches do not support several committees. All resources switch are managed in the default VDC.

http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/switches/Datacenter/nexus9000/SW/6-...

But above all the release notes is for Nexus 6.x and we run 7.x. can someone confirm if Nexus 9 K supports several committees is not.

Thanks in advance,

Sadok

Marciano,

The same is true for version 7.x and documented in the link below-

  • Question of curiosity - why doesn't support Lab Manager 4 Nexus

I suspect it has to do with the 'helper' VMs deployed to help manage the host spanning networks, but I didn't know why it wouldn't work with the Nexus.  Thanks in advance.

I think that it is because with the Nexus, virtual network configuration is managed side Nexus instead of by the bias of the vSphere API.  Lab Manager actually requires a more direct control of the network in the vSphere API configuration and interface of the ESX host.

OK I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre A55 8705-CTO and I just wanted to know if anyone knows if its supported maximum RAM is 2 GB or 4 GB because it's confusing me forever and I want to update my RAM (1 GB is too slow for Vista on my machine).

And I checked lenovo and there are 2 Web pages various information about my computer that confused me because I told 2 GB is the maximum and the other says 4 GB is the maximum:http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-65983 and http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-65975

Hello, if you use ECC memory and it works, 2 GB will be the maximum but if you use ddr2 sdram, then 4 GB is shown as Max (I have an A52 were 4 GB is the maximum.) BUT, the BIOS (I installed latest BIOS available version) recently only identify 3 GB > can also be used, due to the technical limitations! inpropper work, the IBM pc doctor application have found the 4 GB with complete identification and without any problems! Perhaps one day a new version of the BIOS will be able to handle this)

  • Video support HP Envy 17 Notetebook computer Touchsmart m7-j120dx

    I have the laptop above.

It is equipped with an Intel HD 4600 graphics card.

Question: How many monitors in addition to the laptop screen the map will allow to connect?

It grows 2 additional monitors via a docking station, but they are both rated as Monitor 2 and show the same image.

I want to have the ability to use 2 larger screens for CAD applications.

He worked for a short time, until a reboot.

I tried to expand on the adjacent screen, but when I select "Identify" the 3rd monitor always shaws up # 2.

    Hey @Purdaddy ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you have questions about the monitors supported maximum on your graphics card.

I think it's important to note that most of the docks act as a port replicator and might divide the connection rather than provide an independent channel of communication for each monitor.

Theoretically, the mobile phone should support poster as much as there are a of the available connections. Looking at the specs of your laptop there 1 HDMI connection with the hardware by default 1 additional monitor isn't what would be guaranteed to work. That being said, there are hordes of profitable devices out there that can convert the USB ports to display ports. Couple with the fact that you have 4 available USB 3.0 ports that would make more effective the speeds of 3.0 are a huge advantage to reduce video lag and flow more quick of video signal.

Now involved in the Intel GPU. The current Intel GPU controllers allow only use independent of 3 displays. Basically, this means that if you fullscreen a window it will jump to the screen size 1, 2 and 3. You could still technically use multiple screens, but they would be shared. For example, if you had 6 poster (1-6) you have the right to use them as 3 displays. so the screen 1 and 2 if A poster, 3 and 4 to show B, with 5 and 6 that make up the C screen for a total of 3 screens. Keep in mind for an independent view he needs its own connection priority or otherwise you're just mirrored the signal on the second screen through a dispatcher.

So without knowing exactly what dock and how it manages the ports, I can only tell you that, by default, the system will allow only 1 additional screen due to physical limitations, but Windows and your GPU is expected as much as you can connect to it with independent support of 3 screens.

Here you see for the configuration to a configuration of the 3 display on an Intel GPU: Intel - graphics drivers: Configuration 3 - displays FAQ.

I hope this information is useful.

  • Nexus 1000v and vMotion/VM traffic?

    Hello

We are moving our servers of VM production to a new data center.

There is a willingness to use the ports of 2 x 10 giga on each ESX host for the uplinks (etherchannel) Nexus 1000v for vMotion traffic and traffic VM.

I don't know if that's even possible/supported? To devote nexus 1000v for vMotion and VM traffic ports at the same time? I think each guest will need an address unique IP for vMotion be able to operate.

    Info:

    vCenter/ESXi - 5.0 Update 3

Yes - the characteristics of vmotion still apply if you use a virtual switch Standard or Distributed Virtual Switch as the Nexus 1000v - you should have a network for vmotion and each port vmkernel will need a unique IP address on the subnet of vmotion

  • Maximum memory of Thinkpad Edge 14?

I have a Thinkpad Edge 14, 0578-CTO, running under Windows 7 64-bit.   Latest version of the BIOS, drivers the latest, updates, etc.

I know from the support pages that 8 GB of ram is maximum, assuming that you use two chips of 4GB.

I have however, a bench of memory which is bad, and I wonder if the computer supports a single 8 GB chip in one of the slots?

Someone has tested or can check this before I order it?

    Please notify.

    Hello
You're right, edge 14 supports maximum of 4 GB per slot and no more than that (max total is 8 GB). Then I suggest that you do not order the 8 GB stick and get the fixed slot in lenovo.

  • Satellite Pro U400 VISTA disk management has 6 primary partitions

    Hi all!

I have a strange effect on my Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro U400 (but it seems not to be specific to this one that I saw the same symptoms elsewhere, at the same time):

I had the laptop with a 320 GB drive with recovery-(invisible / "Configuration EISA", 1,46 Go) system (C:, ~ 150 GB) and data (E:, ~ 150 GB) volumes. It's the usual structure of Toshiba,

    pre-installed OS was Vista professional.

As I plan to install Linux in addition, I have done as a result of preparations:

    Recovery disc Vista created 1.).
2.) C: shrunk to ~ 100 GB using Vista disk management tool.
3.) E: shrunk to Go ~ 98 using Vista disk management tool.
It is suggested that 4.) E: directly behind C: using Parted Magic CD.

Finally I got a 97 GB of free space at the end of the disc, and everything worked well away. Creating an additional on the free area, Vista disk management, resulted in an extended partition created by Vista. This extended partition contained the extra volume as well as the free space remaining behind.

To prepare for installing Linux, I've finally created three logical Volumes inside the extended partition with Vista disk management tool.
After that, I had the following structure of the partition on the disk (indicated by the Vista Disk Manager):

    invisible 1.46 GB, primary
C:, ~ 100 GB NTFS, primary, active, System
    E:, ~ 98 GB NTFS, primary, data

~ 97 GB extended partition, containing:
2 GB unformatted (planned for Linux swap)
20 GB unformatted (planned for Linux root "/")
21 GB unformatted (planned for Linux "/ home")
    Empty remaining 54 GB space

    More on Vista worked properly!

Recently, I installed OpenSuse 11.1 using the volumes placed within extended partitions (user-specific configuration). The Installation worked correctly. Logical volumes have been formatted to

2 GB of swap (swap Linux, / dev/sda5)
    20 GB ext3 (Linux root ' / ' on/dev/sda6)
    21 GB unformatted (Linux "/ home" on/dev/sda6)

during the installation of Linux. Linux and Vista up and running with their scores. If I look at the hard drive with Linux' partitioning tool, I see three main partitions + range, as expected. The scope contains the Linux partitions + empty disk space.

    HOWEVER:
    ========

If I look at the hard drive with the Vista disk management tool now, I get the following image:

    invisible 1.46 GB, primary
C:, ~ 100 GB NTFS, primary, active, System
    E:, ~ 98 GB NTFS, primary, data
2 GB PRIMARY, no format info displayed
20 GB PRIMARY, no format info displayed
21 GB PRIMARY, no format info displayed
    Empty remaining 54 GB space

    This means:
VISTA DISK MANAGMENT ME PRESENT 6 PRIMARY PARTITIONS WITHOUT ANY COMPLAIN
Although a hard drive on the PC architecture usually only supports maximum 4 primary partitions.

    Issues related to the:

Have you ever seen a similar behavior?

Is this a bug of presentation in the Vista disk management tool?

Or is it a bug in formatting under Linux?

Is there a solution for this problem?

At present, the two BONES work very well. However, the disk will be get permanently damaged as soon as I try to create more partitions in the empty space left?

Sincere greetings and thanks for your comments.

    Girard

    > Have you ever see similar behavior?
    NO.

    > Is this a bug of presentation in the Vista disk management tool?
I doubt that it is a bug, I think you forgot something.

As far as I know you can create 4 partitions on the HARD drive and this is the reason why you have the ability to create an extended partition.
An extended partition can be divided into several logical drives.

That is why it s wise to create a primary partition for Windows OS for example and an extended partition, which can decompose the in logical drives (partitions) different.

However, I put t see a problem if everything works properly

  • Satellite U400-12th-Expand RAM 8 GB possible?

    Hello

    I have a U400-12F with 2x2gb DDR2 667 RAM.
The specifications of the computer says it only supports maximum load of 4 GB (2 GB in each slot).
    I was wandering if this is really true or if I could put 1 4GB DDR2 667 for 6GB total, or 2 + 4 GB for 8GB.

    Hello

I checked the specs on the Web from Toshiba site and Satellite U400-12F has Intel GM965 chipset. According to the specifications of the chipset you can check on the Intel page, the maximum RAM capacity is 4 GB (2 GB in each slot).

Sorry, but an upgrade to 8 GB is not possible, but usually 4 GB should be enough. ;)
