Surely the size measure LMT has not the same

Hello

If we identify not UNIFORM, surely the size of the measure has not the same.

However, http://www.oaktable.net/articles/locally-managed-tablespaces States

+ You can ask yourself, "If a single bit is a measure, probably all extensions in the tablespace are then obliged to present the same size?". It's true -as in the example above, Oracle allows you to specify any size you like, but it will be always reduces to a number of bits of the bitmap, where each bit represents a segment of the space. In any case, it is advisable for all extensions in a tablespace to be the same size, because it eliminates the space lost because of the fragmentation. +

Doesn't it not bad?

Thank you.

So, you're saying that each bit in the bitmap LMT will be the size as much as the lowest possible? And if we have a measure 1 M, it is going to be 1 024 000 bytes?

Only the hard drive manufacturers use 1 000 000 bytes. The rest of the computer industry has pretty much standardized on 1 MB = 2 * 20.

In addition, if the BLOCKS are 8K (or 2K, 4K, 16K, 32K) and 8 K = 8192 bytes, and if 1 MB MUST be a multiple of blocks assigned, you can check quickly enough that 1 MB = 128 x 8 K - BLOCKS. (And Yes, you can choose ANY size you want for a block, but that can get silly and will probably cause "opportunities for off-peak service calls").

And we know that extensions are allocated in BLOCKS. (So why no Oracle used number of advancements of level measurement?)

>

So if we have a 64K extent, followed by a measure of 1 MB, followed by a measure of 64K, Oracle will store as

1 followed by 1 s to 1 M and then 1 for the next measure 64K?

To answer your question (even if it is answered on this link to the Oak Table - explicitly)

The ILO plan represents the size of measurement RB. And non-linear growth that the system uses after distributing a few extensions will always be a multiple of the size of this base.

Then the first few times the table grows, it will be in blocks of 64 k with each piece slightly.

The next time it grows, it will say "I have seen the growth here before and to save effort later" so it will distribute pieces of 1 M. And a piece of 1 M is 16 x 64K, so each piece of 1 M will be represented by 16 bits. Then, after a few of those pieces of 1 M, it will distribute pieces of 8 M and guess how many 64 K parts there are in this 8 M chunk - each represented by one bit.

And since all this piece pieces in this specific tablespace are 64K, if a table is dropped, all of its pieces can be distributed to other tables/segments as needed with no wasted space.

That is the second reason to use LMT.

Now you know.

But, how does that help you administer the database? (Other than following best practices to use LMT?)

In iPhoto, I could choose the resolution of the photos I want to export. In the Photos, I see no way to do it. I tried to export a picture which has been published and it went from 5.7 MB to 1.7 MB. Changes should not have shrunk it as it (percentage terms it should be not less than 3.7 MB). 1.7 MB, I won't be able to use the photo as planned.

Sorry, but we cannot see you if you actually have to provide us with accurate and complete information

Firstly, you say that you use Mavericks OS X 10.9.5 and also specify that you use Photos - which is not possible if you need to tell us what software you use - the answers are different for different software and versions

In the Photos you have exactly the same quality and size export options that you have in iPhotp if you need to share exactly what you do step by step and tell us what changes you made - for example a large harvest could easily reduce the file size of a picture of 60% or more

I don't have a floppy drive (I'm surprised if someone does) but I have a dvd read/write cd drive... One last thing. Windows XP is too old to do something other than a floppy drive.  If the automated system recovery disk is important to your backup and restore needs (HINT: YES it IS!) then get a USB floppy drive to create the ASR disk.  Or get a copy of most modern backup and restore program that works under XP and use modern media (USB, CD/DVD, keys etc.) to create a startup/recovery media.

Hello, my parents computer came RAM volume0 has failed and not be able to start. We went and brought a new hard drive, and its always say the same thing. Any ideas?

A message on the RAID 0 volume failed is a recognizable error message, but the news is not good.

RAID, by its nature, requires 2 or more drives.  RAID = redundant Bay of independent (or inexpensive) disks

RAID 0 is the worst of the different RAID choices.  It increases the performance of hard disk by spreading or striping, data on two disks so that he can read and write more quickly. Unfortunately, such a picture offers no protection of data - in fact, it increases the chances of loss of data since the failure of a disk in the array results in the loss of all data on both drives. RAID 0 configurations are standard on high-end and PCs graphics games and provide a performance gain measurable, albeit modest for games, graphics applications and other programs intense from the hard drive.

In view of the foregoing, the best course of action for you and your parents is to take the computer to a local computer professional - not a type of place BigBoxStoreUSA or GeekSquad.

    Hello community of the Oracle,

I have a DRCP configured with a maximum pool size of N. Once all sessions N pool are used, we need to have a scenario of relief for the application that is trying to establish a new connection. As per documentation these new sessions are placed in the queue, so once the free locations appear in the pool - they get them. I realize there is nothing to the pool itself, there should be a timeout parameter / parameter sqlnet.ora or in OIC connect instead. But everything that I have reached my hands to-did not work for me: session hanged just wait a bit for pool to release.

Anyone does the same approach? What was your solution?

Is there a way I can use failover at the moment to connect here to pass the customer to use queue to DEDICATED by setting simply good alias tns TAF?

    Thanks in advance,

    Alex

Answer my first question: is there a way to trigger some kind of time-out and handle exception if the connection has failed within the time limit (as when the DRCP has no free sessions and incoming requests are put in queue)?

Probably it is there no out-of-box plus solution. Key word here is "non-blocking calls OIC.

The last mention of appeal without blocking connection was in Oracle OCI for the 7.3 database - http://www.helsinki.fi/~atkk_klp/oradoc/DOC/api/doc/OCI73/ch4a.htm#toc063

(unfortunately, this page of official documentation on the Oracle's Web site is damaged and does not the whole list of functions):

    olog

    Goal

olog() establishes a connection between a program of the OIC and an Oracle database.

    Syntax
olog(Lda_Def *lda, ub1 *hda, text *uid, sword uidl, text *pswd, sword pswdl, text *conn, sword connl, ub4 mode)

    Comments

    ....

mode Specifies whether the connection is blocking or non-blocking mode. Possible values are OCI_LM_DEF (for blocking) or OCI_LM_NBL (for the non-blocking).

Although the modern version of BEAK allows no blocking calls, but the appropriate setting (OCI_ATTR_NONBLOCKING_MODE) must be set only once the connection is established (OIC programming database -> handle and descriptor attributes ) and only affects subsequent calls.

Possible solutions for application developers I can see is the connection in the separate thread and drop it if it does not end in the defined period.

The above applies to DRCP, so I'm without touching the case when it could be solved with SQLNET. OUTBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT and TCP. CONNECT_TIMEOUT

... You cannot use Update Manager to upgrade to 5.0 ESXi host, if the host has upgraded ESX 3.x to ESX 4.x. These hosts have not enough free space in the partition/Boot to support the process of update Update Manager. Use either interactive or scripted upgrade.

  • This identifier apple has not yet been used with the App store.

I bought my macbook pro to my brother and always used without my Apple ID and then I decided to restore the macbook to the factory because of some problems with the performance setting, when I hit install OS X Yosemite on the disk, it asks you to login Apple ID and when I try to login with my account , he says "this identifier Apple has not yet been used with the App store" Please check your account information, when I hit "see" nothing happens and it of kind of stuck and makes me restart the process and enter my apple ID and password. "

I don't know what the problem is and now I can't open my macbook to use

Because the computer has been configured using Apple ID of your brother, it is bound to this ID. If you have never downloaded Yosemite, you can not install it. Ask your brother to insert his Apple ID, so you can get the computer operational again. Then, go to the App Store, sign in with your ID and check the purchases tab to see if the Yosemite is an option. If this is not the case, download El Capitan and see if it will install. If you want to do a clean install, quit the installer and the program below allows you to create a bootable USB key. Boot from it, wipe the hard drive and then install El Capitan. When you restart normally it will be your computer. See also the link for sale.

  • E-mail no longer works, parameters to work with other customers. CAUSE: spamarrest possibly (but the journalist has not confirmed)

Hi, one of my accounts has ceased to receive emails on July 2. I tried to delete the .msf file (recommended in another thread), but it does not solve the problem. I also tried to disable SSL.

My other accounts still work with Thunderbird, it's just the SpamArrest who is not. Their support team said that nothing has changed.

I have reinstalled Thunderbird (latest) on another PC today, same problem. Valid password and Thunderbird can display files and displays their names, but does not download messages. Finally, it gives a message out "timed".

I managed to get the same settings work in another mail client, Claws Mail, but I prefer we Thunderbird again. Screenshot attached.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Roll back at 24.6 worked.
