Suspend the keyboard/mouse macro summary
Greetings,
I am writing a macro using the user32.dll calls to control the mouse and keyboard. I use this macro to control an external application (a test client). I demand pull the top of the screen and then through a series of mouse movements, keystrokes and click control this program.
I need to pause the macro running in labview to make adjustments (see attached example). The example uses the ESC key to toggle (linked to the ESC key) between the States to run and break. However this does not work if the labview window does not have focus or execution control is hidden. I need a method to control the keyboard although labview is not on top.
Any suggestions? My default will be to use the getKeyState user32.dll in a loop, but that guarantees always to trap the key?

Hello Viper
You can use Input Device Control range of connectivity to capture the keys on the keyboard.

I can't disable the keyboard mouse when I installed usb mouse.
OT: The mouse settings.
I can't disable the keyboard mouse when I have the usb mouse installed, they way I type provokes me accidentally touching the keyboard & I need to be able to disable this 'thing'. Can someone give me a hint on how to achieve this?
I guess that what you mean is that when you type, your hand hits the trackpad causing a right click of the mouse. I used to have the same problem.
If you go to the Hardware and Settings under control panel, you should see the settings for your trackpad. Under these settings, clear tapping to click. The trackpad still works, but hitting should not get them to click. The settings vary depending on the trackpad you have.
I hope this helps!

Pavilion HPE h8 1103nl does not recognize the keyboard &; mouse
After 10 days of installation, copy and all that kind of stuff that comes with a new PC, everything worked, and finally, I put everything in place, put the wires out of sight and all. Of course, I had to sign a few things, and somewhere in the process of electricity is out. Well, the PC was off anyway (at least I thought it was. I also changed the USB port to which the keyboard and mouse were attached. When I turned on the computer, I had a "keyboard" error, could not start (because electricity had come off the coast), but as the PC does not recognize the keyboard or the mouse, I was unable to give a

I deleted the driver for the mouse and the mouse and the keyboard has stopped working.
I had installed an updated driver mouse and mouse keep locking up. The Windows troubleshooting information indicates that I have to erase the disc from the mouse, and then reinstall the new mouse driver. When I deleted the mouse driver, the mouse and the keyboard no longer works.
The computer is running Windows XP with Service Pack 3.
The computer is one that I built several years ago.
I tried the things:
1. I tried the ALT, left SHIFT + Number Lock which is indicated as mouse keyboard operation who has worked in the past.
Well it does not either from the keyboard is dead.
2. I tried PS2 Mouse and a keyboard.
3. I tried a keyboard and a USB mouse. The system shows new hardware found and he wonder then click NEXT to load the driver. No mouse, no keyboard, so no click.
4. I can't get into the bios, because I can't hit keys to vector in the bios during startup.
5. I tried to load the Windows XP disk, but the startup routine ask me to hit any key to boot from the CD.
I have no mouse or keyboard control and therefore cannot respond to any action required by the system.
Does anyone know a way to solve this problem?
Solution of my wife - buy a new computer.
Have a better solution for this problem?
Thank you
Bill
Always try a PS/2 keyboard. Maybe your PC is not able to access the BIOS, because the keyboard is USB.
What make / model of the keyboard / mouse "kit"?

Satellite C50 - keyboard mouse not working not
The keyboard mouse touchpad has stopped working and I can't find a way through Control Panel to fix it. The external mouse through the wireless works fine, but I can't use the keyboard mouse at all.
Go to the Settings Manager to your Toshiba, by clicking on the Start button in the lower right corner, click the arrow on the down in the lower right and then look for a program called system listed among Toshiba services settings. Go to keyboard and see if you can change all the settings it will allow you to turn the keyboard on or off. If none is listed, then go to your BIOS manually and see if it allows you to toggle the keyboard. Your numlock and capslock has a light on them to indicate that they are on?
EDIT: I also found this when you browse the forum, it may help.
Press CTRL ALT SHIFT to get your process to come. Find the Touchpad "enhancer" process. Complete the process. Your touchpad works until the next reboot, how simply repeat this step.
If you're struggling complete the process without being able to use your touchpad, I discovered a curious thing. If you hold a mouse click, you can move the arrow of the mouse with the touchpad very well. Its a bit... awkward... but all you have to do that is to end this process and after that, you can use the trackpad normally. -
Impossible to disable the PS2 Mouse in windows Vista
- Have a laptop model PP41L Dell with Windows Vista on board. Added an external USB mouse. Have been unable to turn off the PS2 Mouse located under the keyboard. Look in your Dell program folder.
Click Start or press the Windows key and select all programs. Find your Dell folder and look inside the keyboard/mouse/touchpad utility.
If it is still not available, look for the seven-digit serial number on the bottom of your laptop and get on the Dell Support site (here). Entry of the serial number, you will come to a page that contains all of the drivers and utilities for your computer, as he came out of the factory.

How to connect the keyboard wireless for Sony KDL - 46EX720 TV
I'm trying to connect i8 Rii Mini Wireless keyboard on my Sony KDL-46EX720 TV. The IIR is shipped with a USB receiver that connects to a USB port on the back of the TV. When I insert the USB, the States of TV receiver, "not taken USB device support". A keyboard from another manufacturer can be connected to my TV? I don't have a Sony VAIO laptop. Any keyboard may be connected wireless, except with Sony VAIO?
Hello... Anyone here? This should be a simple question to answer...
So, while we wait...
Is there a software patch that will reach or enable support for a USB receiver (device USB not supported 'States' TV currently) connect a keyboard or mouse wireless web TV KDL-46EX720? If there is a "patch", please provide a link to it. And if there is, including model Sony web wireless keyboard would need to buy to make this connection? Please provide a link to it EVEN IF IT IS NOT AVAILABLE any LONGER. I'll find one. Once again, I don't have a Sony VAIO laptop and wish not to buy one. I have four computers in my house, that is, two offices and two laptops.
Please NOTE: I have a LAN adapter that is connected to the right (top) USB port at the back of the TV. For the keyboard/mouse USB receiver, I need to use the free USB port (bottom).
Thank you!

Keyboard / mouse not wake Desktop Dell (Inspiron)
Just bought an Inspiron 3043 20 new desktop computer. Had lots of fun with the team of Dell Technical Support who have been unable to resolve a problem where the keyboard and mouse don't up properly the computer from sleep mode. We need to get behind the computer and manually, click the power button to wake the system.
The tech support Dell transferred me twice at a higher level of technical support, but every time they transfer me to the bad support line that requires a paid subscription. Crazy!
Anyone who runs Windows 10 who found the culprit behind this problem? We have updated all of the latest drivers, BIOS, etc. All power settings are correct for mouse and keyboard to wake the computer. Nothing seems to work.
Best,
JAG
Thanks Ron for an intelligent answer! Unfortunately, I ended up solving this problem for me last night before seeing your words of wisdom. Seriously, Dell technical support wasted hours of my time, and despite the efforts of two different Dell tech support who logged onto my new PC specialists, they could not solve the problem. Then they tried to transfer me to a support tech climbing team that eventually be paid a pension, so they me transferred again to another paid support team who just remember in the regular support of Dell.
Your last suggestion won the award but I really wonder why the author of this Bios would be by default the setting of the wake for disabled people? My computer came with a USB keyboard and wireless mouse and the BIOS in native mode turns off the USB Wake feature? That's all just stupid and begging just for customers having problems.
The native BIOS setting disabling USB wake is bad enough, but what makes the situation is even worse to Dell technical support that team never thought to have me check the BIOS settings even if one of the technicians was last updated to the latest version of the BIOS. You would think that they would have this problem documented given the native BIOS setting and that this resolution would be above Dell CHARACTERS bold suggestions!
Seriously, I almost returned the computer on it. Absolutely ridiculous, if you ask me. Hitting a Dell. Anyone having the keyboard / mouse suite problems with their computer should check the BIOS settings and make sure that Wake USB is ENABLED.
