  • Over the noise of the fan after upgrade SC8000 to 6.5.30...

Curious to know if anyone noticed an increase in the cooling fan noise level after the upgrade of their SC8000 to 6.5.30?  Updated during the weekend and controllers generally increase speeds of the fan during the startup, then settle down. After the upgrade, we do not have seems to settle into their previous volume.  CPU usage seems normal and systems running OK, we just want to make sure that there isn't something else causing the extra fan speed.

    Thank you.

Yes, it's something they did on purpose. In my view, there is a that'S on it. I would like a link to it, but I'm on my moblile. You should be able to find it in the Knowledge Center.

  • Satellite U400-15B - noisy fan after Toshiba WIndows 7 upgrade

    Hello world

    Question 1:
Last week, I got my Windows 7 Upgrade DVD from Toshiba. I'm leaving has upgrade and after 5 hours, the upgrade was complete. I have encountered a problem that the automated driver installed on the endgame wrong on the update of the BIOS because it is trying to write the backup file of the BIOS on the DVD. After a lot of pressure on the keys, I managed to get the installation to carry and then did the BIOS manually updated later. This succeeded and it updated to V4.80.

Since the update of the BIOS, the fan noise is much stronger. I noticed it's from the fan that is to the right of the envelope, I guess it is the CPU fan. The fan that blows air on the left side of aeration wors as usual. Any suggestions? Should I get the BIOS, if so, how can I restore from the file BIOS.bak WinPHlash is?

    Question 2:
The Upgrade of Windows 7 Toshiba DVD, I am able to do a new install of Windows 7, IE not need to upgrade to Vista?

    Question 3:
On the upgrade DVD Toshiab is automatically installs the drivers required after the upgrade to WIndows 7. He had 22 things to do on my own. Does anyone know how to get the list of the required drivers for this laptop that the upgrade DVD refers to?

Thank you very much for your time in reading this.

Have you tried to change method parameters in Toshiba's energy-saving cooling?
    Change it to optimized battery.
It has reduced the activity of fan on my A300.

You can find it in the advanced power settings.

  • Satellite R830-1GZ - CPU usage high (> 25%) and increase in the speed of the fan after reactivation

    Hi all

The CPU usage of my laptop shoots upward to 25% (and beyond) and increases in fan speed considerably after waking up, but only when I use an external mouse (Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000) - disconnect the mouse once it happened does not solve the problem, so I always have to restart my computer if I let go sleep with the connected mouse.

I noticed that when this produces the system interrupts - delayed appeals procedure and Interrupt Service routine appears in the resource monitor > CPU > process and seems to explain the increase in the use of the processor.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be most appreciated.

I use a Toshiba Satellite R830 1GZ with Windows 7 (64-bit). This problem will not occur when I use the same mouse with another laptop (Dell with Windows XP).

    Thank you very much.

I think that the process that controls the mouse MS WLan does not close properly.
The system to memorize it and therefore the cooling module begins to spin faster because these processes stressed the central unit.

Maybe its caused by the mouse driver
Have you checked if there is an update to the driver?

  • Poor quality of the sound after XP or Vista upgrade on the Satellite A300 - 15 d

    Hello

    Please I need your help.

    I have my Satellite A300 - 15 d and I had a problem with my sound.
When I upgraded to Vista ultimate or go back to XP my sound becomes very bad quality and I have tried to update drivers and utilities but no way and finally I come to Vista Home who came into the recovery.

I hate it and I need a solution.

    Please answer

    Hello

What exactly do you mean by "bad sound quality?"
He is too weak or what?

    A300 - 15 d seems to belong to the series of PSAJ4E.
Conexant for Win XP and vista audio driver is available on the European driver Toshiba page.

I have the same sound chip in my book and the sound is ok... I also noticed that I have a SmartAudio in Control Panel.
This seems to be an additional tool to improve the sound quality.

    Maybe you should check this.

  • HA failures in the DMZ after ESX 4.0 Upgrade

    Hi all

Does anyone know why HA been a failure now to do an inplace of 3.5 to 4.0 upgrade?  HA has been workign before, when we got to 3.5. Firewall logs show that it is a failure on an ICMP ping to the gateway... This new? Do we need to configure a rule to allow each server ping the firewall?

Service console gateway address is not a new requirement.   HA response insulation comes into play when he can't see the other hosts in the cluster and fails to address of the gateway of the ping service console or that you may have defined isolation address too.

  • The Alienware 14 laptop fan after startup noise

Hi I was wondering if anyone else has suffered from this problem.  Recently around 2/11 ~ 12/02/2015, I noticed that the fan in my Alienware 14 would become really strong about a minute or two after startup.  This would be accompanied to the Alienware keyboard and touchpad lighting.  It only lasts a few seconds and the fan and light back to normal for the rest of the time I use it, even if it is several hours or more.  I think the same happens shortly after waking from sleep, but I'm not sure.

I cleaned the vents to the best of my ability to compressed air, update the BIOS to A09 (latest version) and update the graphics drivers Nvidia Geforce 750 M and Intel HD 4600 graphics card.  I also ran full scan of the system AVG 2015 and not confirmed any virus/malware.  Also checked the task at Startup Manager to see if any unusual process have been the cause and find nothing unusual.  I also used the restoration of the system to a point before that I noticed something (2/10), and the noise of the fan always popped up.

Attempted to run Dell Diagnostics and support help, but they have not found any problems.  Interesting note - when executing the analysis of their system to see if my drivers are required to update, it says that I need to download the BIOS A09 exe even though I already A09.

Use Tech Support Chat or by e-mail, but 14 Alienware is apparently not one of the products covered by them.

    Thanks a bunch!

  • Inspiron 530 - (11) - after machine was a rumour - exact same noise and it repeats-Possibly the fan?

    Greetings,

I'd appreciate any help with the following: despite the age of the machine, it is always hanging there pretty well, except that recently, it makes a noise very characteristic and very regular repeating itself over and over again, when the unit is turned on for a while, and when a program or a bigger game is used.

When the device is just on, or when simple programs or functions are like surfing the internet I don't hear the noise.

I don't think that this very characteristic sound, there is really no real significant problem. -J' did some DELL online diagnostics, and shows nothing until now I ran a problem.

2 questions: (1) do you think that maybe it's the fan and if so, there is no test on the machine, I can run, specifically for the fan? I was not able to find when I looked through the various components, you can test (when you press F12 at restart and go to utilities/partitions. I saw a list of just about everything you can test, except for the fan. (read something about "net to be able to test the fan it") have not yet used the DELL diagnostic cd

    (2) alternative source of noise or other tests?

(unit is no longer in warranty)

Thanks a lot for your help!

I think that the Dell Diagnostics has a test for the case fans and radiator.

What version of BIOS you have installed?

Without knowing the source of the noise, it really not advice that can be given.

Better to remove the cover, start the system and see if you can trace the source of the noise, the Inspiron 530 MT has many fans, radiator, power and possibly one on the graphics card, if installed.

Usually, I check out fans, using a wooden pencil to turn the fan to turn for a few seconds to see if the noise stops.

Check also any accumulation of dust inside the box/fans/radiator fins and cooling air inlets located inside the bezel/cover.

PS I think the Inspiron 530/531 Series was first sold by Dell by the middle of 2007, when I bought my 530MT, I always have.

  • W700 increases the fan noise after 10 Windows update?

As the title. Im noticing that the fan runs constantly since windows 10 update. Everyone has seen this? Manager tasks indicates that the processor is not power, but the fan runs continuously. Should I go back to windows 8, or an update will fix this?

I think I would go to the Intel website and download the current driver of 4000 HD for Windows 10 (I think you're running 64-bit, so stick to this version). Uninstall the current drivers and delete the files, and then install the Intel driver before restarting. Restart and let it find the current driver and see if that makes a difference to the symptoms...

  • Satellite C660 - 1 HL: how to reduce the fan noise?

After buying the C660 (1 HL) I'm especially glad of his duties - if it was the bad noise it emits.

I use laptops for 12 years, but this one is really annoying with every minute repeated with penetration hum of a fan, even if the laptop is in sleep mode.

I compared with a C650, who is often quiet and his fan, if being run, does not cause that kind of noise.
So far I found any kind of control for the fan, no driver or powermanagement setting, that I had before for example with a Satellite M70.

I always thought, technological development will bring improvements, but not the trouble of this kind.

Thanks for the tips of any solution

There you should find options like power management Toshiba Power Saver and processor that helps reduce the performance of the processor.
This would reduce the heat dissipation and temperature level.

  • Satellite L650 1NC - the fan noise

I bought the laptop in February 2011 and the fan noise deteriorated over time, now. I've read many threads in this forum and elsewhere about this problem and I think that the problems are basically the same.

Now that I've read some that messages stating that the new BIOS, released in September have apparently solved the problem, I did a BIOS update (Version 2.3) to meet the same problem again.

The fan stops when the temperature is below a certain threshold, in my case according to CoreTemp it seems to be at about 50-55 ° C. At the moment the fan turns off, which is also confirmed by the monitor of health indicating the 0% fan speed.
This leads to the CPU temperature increases until the fan is used to about 55-60% fanspeed.
This process repeats every 15-20 seconds and is very annoying.

It gets worse, but if I start to actually do something like a request to open from the web browser - nothing serious, really, I don't want to start even complain about the noise while game/watch movies.
The fan speed will be 70-75% as soon as the CPU gets the work to be done.
The noise that results is unacceptable for 20-30 seconds.

Noise is an important factor for me. At the University I can't use it as my fellow students are too distracted by its noise. To work my colleagues began to complain as well.
As I use my cell phone while being out of my own office/home it is basically useless for me now.

Has anyone else still issues after the recent updates to the BIOS?
Is there a way to put the fan always runs at around 30-40%?

    All opinions are appreciated.

    Hello

Cooling module performance depend on the internal temperature.
If the temperature arise at a higher level, the fan must turn more quickly to prevent equipment overheating it's usual behavior.

But you can try to change some Windows 7 power management settings.
This will reduce the performance of the CPU and the dissipation of the heat and that should slow down the activity of the fan too.

Here is instruction how to change the Windows 7 power management.

  • Satellite U405d-s2850 - noise coming from the fan high pitch

I bought my computer laptop 2nd Friday last for the school. I bought it at Costco after comparing with some other laptops.
I like it so far, it is a tone high from the fan noise. First I thought it was my ear, but it wasn't. This high pitch noise is so darn high, it makes me crazy.

This means, there is something wrong with this laptop?
Or am I just darn sensitive?
My other laptop Toshiba is very good. It's just this new laptop!
    Help!

Should I return this laptop and get a new one or is it normal?

    Hello

Are you sure that this noise is coming from the cooling module?
Usually, it is really hard to say what causes these sounds of high pitch without disassembling the whole laptop and check the single parts.

    > This means, there is something wrong with this laptop?
To be honest, I never noticed the sounds of high pitch on my three different notebooks.
So I guess there might be something wrong with the single computer laptop part.

So if you aren't really sure what causes this noise of high tone, then I recommend contacting ASP in your country for and verification of the laptop.
