  Yes, they are in different domains and adobe imposes restrictions on what a swf file can do with the data from one server to another (from the swf) area.

  Open the directory where you published your flash files.  in this directory, you will see the skin swf.  Download the swf on your server in the same directory of your other flash files server.

  Hello, I'm new to Flash and recently downloaded the demo to do a few things to add to my site. Nothing too complex, I made a slideshow of images and turned some button images. Anyway, after I publish files and import the swf in Dreamweaver files, I always get a flash player error when I try to watch the content on my site. She'll tell me that I need to update my flash 11.2 drive. I have downloaded several times 11.2, reinstalled flash player and made sure I have indeed the correct version of flash player on this computer. Just to make sure it wasn't a problem with my laptop, I checked with another computer, as well, and he had the same problem.

  Is it a problem because I am creating content with the trial version? Or I'm just something wrong? Once I created everything I do in Flash, I save it, publish and import the .swf file in Dreamweaver.

  When you publish to the web you really never want to publish for any version of flash beyond what you really need. Who will annoy your users when you're not even using anything in the latest versions of flash.

  Go to your publishing settings, set the target for publication of flash 10.1/10.2. I'm pretty sure it will look and work the same and you will not annoying to users who need to update flash.

  Never publish at the latest if you don't absolutely need to. I have published for v9 until about 6 months ago, then finally started using up 10.1/10.2.

One is a bit more complicated (for my minimal knowledge of Flash) and will not run and I just can't understand it. Help, please!   I try to run the "connector" example that comes with smartfoxserver2x downloads... There it connects to the server and load the configuration file is correct. When I run it in adobe flash professional 5, it runs correctly and connects to the server but after published as a SWF movie, it of not work.it load the configuration file, but cannot connect and gives error connection failed...   If you load a swf into another using the Loader class, then the charger itself is the parent of the loaded swf file, so MovieClip (parent.parent) could help you target the timeline that the charger was born.

  The way to have a loaded file to speak to a parent file is through the sending of events that the parent assigns headphones for after the file has been loaded.  Here is a link to an announcement that could help explain how to implement this.

  In your SWF to loading/parent, listen for the complete event on the Loader.contentLoaderInfo.  In the complete event handler, add a listener for the event on the loaded swf file.

  So in your A.swf, you should have the other event and functions of event handler that would take care of control buttons.   Event listeners could be assigned to the B.swf after that that it has loaded.  In your B.swf you just have it dispatches an event and the A.swf manage self adjustments you need taken care of.  This allows the two files to be independent of each other on a functional level.

  Regarding the buttons that you want to disable, you can either use the removeEventListener() method to remove the listeners you have assigned, or you can set the mouseEnabled property to false, or you can set the visible property to false.

  Cschrader81 didn't mention 403 error I believe his question happens due to a bug of specific know-how Business hosting of catalyst. Bug has been fixed on site and will post a fix soon for the same thing.

  In the meantime, please go to file > Site Properties > advanced > uncheck the box "enable editing in the browser" and download it BC.

  Once the fix is available, you can still activate this option.

  I would like to know if it does not fix the issue.

• Captivate 8 HTML5 file does not load

  The published version of a Captivate 8 draft published in HTML5 works fine on the development server (i.e. my laptop), but fails to load in any browser from the production server (the link is http://www.clearcreeklearning.com/emcycle/index.html). The host (Godaddy.com) insists that the problem is in the index.html file which I would download if I was allowed to. Is this a known issue? Any ideas on what might be preventing it from loading?

  Basically, all your content is in the CPM.js as a big JSON object. There are some foreign assets, but all your courses and advanced actions are in this file. If it encounters a fatal error that does not load your course. I found this line that was the mistake of launching and removed 2-3 series of / / and it worked.
