Switch boot SSD on PCI slot

Crucial startup 2006 Mac Pro Tower 2.1 with a 525 GB SSD drive I replaced my HARD drive. Can I move the Crucial SSD on the PCI slot and get the same results or better?

Yes, you can with a PCIe card that accepts drives 2 1/2 inches.

Thus, Accelsior S performance will be limited to 190-200 MB/s of throughput. Hello

The wireless network card is an option on this unit. It is possible to switch this unit with the WLan card. The WiFi antenna should already be included in the specifications.
The WLan pci slot, you will find at the bottom of the unit.
It s close to the slot of the modem.
However, I would recommend consultation with the user manual. There you should find more details.

  • Satellite L10-204 does support mini PCI slot?

    Hello, all.
In a first time - sorry for my English ;-)
I would like to install a wireless card and I don't know if my computer (Toshiba Satellite L10-204) have a mini PCI slot? I prefer the mini PCI card PCMCIA card, because in my opinion, they are better in some aspects.
    DRM for me, cheers!

    Hmm? ¦ bad news man.
The wireless card is not available on this laptop and it cannot be upgraded too.
This means that WLan minPCI slot is not present.

You will need to switch to an external solution. Maybe an external USB WiFi key is an option for you. If this isn't the case, then you can use the PCMCIA WLan card!

  • Option of PCIe Slots all disabled - can not change

    Hello, community.

This problem is related to my Cisco C240M3 server which is in UCS domain Mode. I managed to install Ubuntu 12.04 on one of the disks virtual I've implemented on its MegaRAID controller, but I am unable to boot from my virtual disks. Local disks are completely invisable to the BIOS and are not recognized as a startup option.

I did some digging in the screen configuration of the bios and found that all the PCIe Slots option is disabled. I was able to boot from my records in stand-alone mode, but I am unable to start now that I'm in UCS domain Mode. I can't change this option from disabled to enabled, there is grey.

Here is a screenshot of my bios screen

I am running these Versions (click on the image):

Can anyone provide any guidance about why this is happening?

    Thank you!

I understand you correctly; you have created 2 Raid-0 volumes?

You show the real boot order, can you please also show the configured boot order?

Maybe we have a problem with (see p 431 http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/sw/gui/config/guide/2-2/b_UCSM_GUI_Configuration_Guide_2_2.pdf)

Maximum Volume a RAID and a single RAID Controller in the built-in Rack-mounted servers

A rack mount server that has been integrated with Cisco UCS Manager can have within an RAID

volume regardless of how many disks are present on the server.

All local hard disks in an integrated rack server must be connected to a single RAID controller.

Integration with Cisco UCS Manager does not support the connection of local hard drives RAID multiple

Controllers of a single rack mount server. Therefore, we recommend that you ask a single RAID controller

configuration when you order rack mounted servers to be integrated with Cisco UCS Manager.

In addition, do not use third-party tools to create a multiple RAID LUN on rack mounted servers. Cisco UCS

The Manager does not support this configuration.

  • No satellite S2450 ADSL MODEM INSTALLATION PROB. NO FREE PCI SLOT

I have a Satellite S2450 - 101 with XP installed on it, the machine is currently in Spain and I am trying to install an ADSL USB modem. However when you are trying to install is always a problem in the installation program indicate that it not there no free PCI card slots available for the ADSL USB modem to use. I've tried a few things to get this software to install, but no joy, I have removed devices using Device Manager pci slots to see if this new modem would use their slots recently released, but this does not work, so I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem which can give the solution to this problem. installation is complete however when you try to use the modem to dial the adsl line it give an error of no available tone, it gives exactly the same respons if I unplug the modem, leaving me to believe that the system is not covering in any way with the modem during the dial-up procedure. As an aside to this XP did pick up and recognize this device and try to install it as a device ADSL-RE, but this is not the correctly the modem either... I tried using the supplied software and automatic installation XP. really need help on this one.

    Hello

I heard nothing about such a problem, but it seems that your modem software does not work properly or your modem drivers are damaged!

Downloaded a software update and modem drivers USB from the maufacturer homepage?

You should also check if your USB 2.0 is working properly and test it with an evaluation of the performance program!

  • Satellite Pro M10 - location of the mini-pci slot?

    Hello

I have a M10 Pro of the Satellite with a mini-PCI Intel Pro 2100. Now, I wanted to put in a new card, but I can't find the mini-pci slot? I opened all the way down, but there nothing. Where is it located and what is the best way to open the laptop? I guess a lot of screws must come out...

    Hello

Well, as far as I know the mini-PCI card is under the keyboard. In this case, you will need to remove the unit covers. But if you open Notepad, you will lose the warranty.
In my opinion, you should contact the ASP for help and detailed descriptions.

  • x 8 connection distance MXI causes conflicts with my on my Dell Precision T3600 PCI slot

    Hi all

The easiest to say is that I am migrating from a x 4 MXI explicit connection to an x 8 MXI express connection and when I do I get an error on the motherboard which is unable to load the single PCI slot.

Error in WIn7 64 bit Device Manager reports a yellow exclamation point

    Device "Intel (r) 82801 PCI Bridge - 244 properties"

The error listed in the device status box: "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) »

Unfortunately, I need this slot machine to run a card calendar to conjucton with PXI hardware. There is no anomaly when I used the x 4 connections with virtually the same loadout except for one Exchange a PXI-5122 (x 4 config) to SMU 5122 (x 8 config).

If I leave the MXI PCIe card in but do not connect to chassis PCI slot SMU (and the fine card appear.)

If I remove the PCI card into the slot, the error still occurs.

I swapped the x 8 card and NVidia graphics card without success (the 16 x only two slots).

I photographed the reader and removed the H310 Dell PERC RAID card and charged the RAID array RAID integrated Intel C600 and still no change.

I have updated BIOS to A07 to latest A08.

I updated the Intel Chipset at the latest on the Dell Web site.

I guess that I just wonder at this point if someone is able to run a x 8 MXI express at SMU with a Dell Precision T3600, T5600 or a T7600 chassis.

NI MAX report is attached as a text file.

After much work by NI Applications Engineer Kyle K, this problem has been resolved.

I'll post the solution to this PC dependent problem here, just in case it will help others in a similar situation.

It seems that Dell sometimes uses one default BIOS quite restrictive on the number of PCI bus in these (and other). By allowing several PCI bus, you will be able to list all the devices in the sacrifice of some memory available for OS 32 bit running on 4 GB of RAM. No problem for me because I'm under 64 bit OS.

Congratulations to Kyle even if he has not posted here yet for him give real congratulations.

  • My PCIe-6259 will work in a different PCI slot?

I have a DAQ PCIe-6259 case in an old computer that experienced a motherboard failure.  I'm looking at building a new computer, but I wonder if I have to get a motherboard that has a dedicated x 1 PCIe slot, or if I can put my PCIe-6259 in a different PCI slot?  I would also welcome the recommendations of the computer/motherboard.

Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

It must be a home PCI Express (PCI, not), but it doesn't have to be a PCIe x 1 location; Peripheral PCIe work in PCIe connectors longer, they don't just use the additional lanes.
