Any ideas?
Hello
The software settings don t usually have a bad influence on the WiFi switch on the side.
Maybe the switch has loses contact? But have you checked the Device Manager if the WiFi is installed property? Have you seen some yellow exclamations points?
Also check if you have enabled the wireless card with the FN + F8 key combination

5 GHz WiFi on E2500 has stopped working
I had my E2500 with 2.4 and 5 Ghz WiFis with different names, works very well for months until yesterday 5 GHz WiFi stop working and I got my PC back to 2.4 ghz. When I go to the page of the router-> status-> wireless networks in the 5 GHz network shows an empty address, channel by n/a and the width of the channel by n/a, while 2.4 has fill out them correctly. I tried using different settings for WiFi, but nothing has worked. I also tried resetting the device and update the firmware. How can I know that the 5 GHz interface is not faulty and the cause of the problem?
I found a solution to my problem: I came back the firmware to the previous version (I had upgraded to the latest version 2.0 front) and now the radio works fine. It seems that the firmware has not been properly tested.
Thanks for your help!

Satellite A305-S6825: WLan has stopped working
I'm in the United States. (I posted this message earlier)
#1-I just bought Toshiba notebook a month or two ago with Vista Premium SP1.
A day ago when I turned on the laptop, I got a notice to the effect:Windows Wireless Lan 802.11 Extensibility infrastructure has stopped working.
-> Are looking for a solution later (recommended) the next time that you start the system
-> ClosedThose who were only two choices. I think I clicked on the first "search for a solution later.
When I turned on laptop today, I got the same message.Anyone know what could be wrong with this new laptop?
I use the wireless to enter IE7 and type your message. My husband and I are elderly and not too familiar with computers or computer language so if anyone has an answer, please make it simple enough for us to understand.
We hope that this new laptop is not already broken.
We cannot afford to buy another computer or have it repaired.#2-we tried to send questions by e-mail to MS, but they asked the PID. We looked in Control Panel and system (I think) and typed in the PID of there (OEM number), but it would not recognize MS.
Can someone please help?
Thank you very much.
AlicePS: We have the DSL cable attached to our desktop (modem/router) and use this Toshiba laptop with modem/router of this office to get online (don't know if that is the correct terminology that someone else connected DSL, etc.).
Hello Bob
I agree with Kody and I think also there is a software problem or the WIFI network is not properly enabled. I use the European model of laptop, but I don't think that there is some difference of laptop models to the United States.
If you want to use the WLAN, it must be enabled correctly. At first make sure that the WLAN switch is placed in position ON. The WLAN led should be on. After doing this using FN + F8 key combination to activate the wireless network card. When you press the FN key and keep down. Maps flash in high must be indicated. Always keep the button FN, but press F8 and select Wi - Fi ON.
So now the wireless network card must be activated, and you should also be able to connect to your WLAN.
If the problem persists, you can try to roll back the OS to an earlier time (when the network WIFI works well). To do this, you must start System Restore tool. Choose different restore point and to the next day when you think about the WIFI worked well.Sorry, but for now I have a better idea because I don't want to confuse you more than necessary.
Have a good day and I hope that WIFI works well again.

Screen touch Inspiron 2350 has stopped working
A few days ago I started my Inspiron 2350 and the touch screen does not work.
It doesn't seem to be a clear answer as to why it stopped working or a general framework that will allow me to fix it.
In addition, under my current computer information / drivers, the computer does not recognize a touchscreen... that laugh because the monitor is attached to the base of the computer.
If I had to guess, based on the horrible criticism from Windows, I'm sure something is automatically updated to Windows and launched. I am currently operating on 8.1 - and since I out took it of the box three months ago. This problem started last week.
Thanks for any help.
p.s. the monitor driver says that it works properly and is up-to-date.
I'm having exactly the same issues over the past months... In my opinion, to do with automatic shutter windows 8.1 update as well. I have re-installed to make the adjustment and then touch screen reworked. Then windows update automatic, touch has stopped working again. Repetitive cycles, it seems that Dell could not have intended to solve this problem at all. The last pilot patch file was last year... they never update it... I remember my first PC of Intel4 Dell, purchased at the College; She was flawed with driver problems through my 4 years in College; completely lost my parent$ 1700, ten years ago... I do not understand how my wife of Mac user to make me buy another dell again (because I told him I'm a PC person?) ... my final solution can be... support of stop 1.) calling Dell technology, these people have probably even high school, 2) switch to Mac and never re-use a PC... 3.) oh, I sell my stock Dell too... Stop wasting our lives to find a solution for this... how long did you spend YOU on this problems so far?

How to make the new version, I just installed as the old work that has stopped working?
I used Thunderbird for many years and have always been very satisfied.
A few days earlier, he has stopped working on my computer. I think that this was due to an update of AVG Free 2015. (When I restarted after the automatic update, Tbird and Chrome and Firefox broke everything. AVG has since been removed and replaced with Avast. Chrome and Firefox, both work very well after I installed the latest versions.) I took the opportunity to get the latest version of Tbird (I was 37) and installed it. TBird is OK, but the operation is a total disaster!
He used to see me just like the user. Now I have to choose my Inbox by clicking, and then open it in a new tab. I could accept this pain if things worked OK. The first email that I click appears in the message pane. But I can't delete it unless I double click to open in a new tab! I can not get the following message to be displayed in the messages pane. It's used to work if I simply clicked on the message.
How can I make Tbird work as he did? I used to love, now I hate it! Please help me before I dump Tbird and switch to Gmail!
Thanks for any help.

Lightning network adapter has stopped working
Hello
All of a sudden, my (original Apple) map network Thunderbolt has stopped working. I'm looking for advice to get it working again without reinstalling. This is the second time in 6 months that it happened, and the last time a reformatting it fixed and restore my entire user account does not restore the problem, so all signs point to something in the heart of the system and not "userland".
Why I know that the adapter is not the problem:
-Adapters two colleagues also do not work
-Adapter works very well in recovery, but not once started
What happens when I plug:
-Lights led network switch, so a link is established
-L' adapter remains 'red' in the network settings
-dmesg shows:
IOThunderboltSwitch < 0 > (0x0): listenerCallback - HPD Thunderbolt package for road port = 0 x 0 = 1 disconnect = 0
[Start of PCI configuration]
[End of PCI, bridges 14, 15 devices configuration]
No obvious signs of problems.
Steps taken to solve the problems:
-If I delete the card of network settings, I can never add again; He simply never shown even if it is plugged in and the link light is on the switch.
-Crushed/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and restarted. Always impossible to add the interface, as mentioned above, it never appears.
At this point, I am of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Figured it out... it's driver Linksys USB3GIG crap that breaks the kext IONetworking signature.
ERROR: invalid signature for com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily, does not load

Sharing printers has stopped working for me. I have an Epson Stylus Photo R340 connected by USB to my Mac Mini end of 2012, and until recently, my MacBook Air has been able to print to it. Now, he 'thinks' the printer is not connected. Computers are on WiFi. Both computers have an OS X 10.11.5 now and the latest driver of Epson printer. Printer sharing is enabled in preferences, sharing, and "Share this printer on the network" is checked in the preferences, printers and Scanners. I went through the hoops to remove the printer and add it again on the Mini and the MacBook Air.
Of course, the Mini prints very well via USB. Someone has an idea (that I have not already tried) how to get the sharing of printers to work again?
Other sharing services work, such as the file and screen sharing?

Pressing FN + F5 message: module IGFXEXT has stopped working
Pressing FN + F5 message: module IGFXEXT has stopped working
I use Vista
Model - Portege M700With FN + F5, you can switch between monitors.
The igfxext.ext belongs to the common user interface from Intel and it s stored in the path % system%\igfxext.exe.So in your case, I'll try to update the display driver. I think that this is causing the error.

Satellite Z830-10U - Touch Pad has stopped working
I have been using a USB mouse for a few weeks and touchpad is still operational. A few days ago the touchpad has stopped working. No issues are raised in the device manager that told me the power switch for the touchpad buttons. But by pressing the dedicated button and fn F9 has not changed anything.
Really confused, but think I'm missing something really obvious that I can not think an event trigger, so assuming that some magic button will bring the key back to life.
All help gratefully received...
Hello
What happens if you disconnect the USB mouse?
You can use the touchpad again? From my point of view, the use or installation of an external USB mouse has affected the touchpad feature, I can't say with certainty why and what is happening right here, but I read in various forums on similar problems and sometimes caused USB mouse use touchpad problems.
For example: in my case the touchpad does not work with connected USB mouse I was very confused, but found a solution in my case the option disable touchpad when USB mouse is connected has been verified and this disabled the touchpad.
You can find it here:
Control Panel-> mouse-> last (Advanced) tab-> the Advanced Settings buttonOne of my friends couldn't use the touchpad because it has been disabled in the BIOS.

Satellite C665 - Ethernet adapter has stopped working
Hello
A few weeks ago, I noticed that the ethernet adapter has stopped working. It has disappeared from the Device Manager, and I can only access internet by wifi. When I turn off wifi and connect the ethernet cable (which connects to the modem) nothing works.
I tried to restore the windows settings, but that didn't work. Can someone help me?
It is possible that the LAN module is defective.
All you can do now is to check and install the original recovery image and check the functionality with the factory settings. If the problem persists it is definitely hardware problem.I think that it is not worth to fix it if you can continue to work with WLAN connectivity.

Portege R400-600 - installed some SW and everything has stopped working...
Hello:
I installed a few SW and:
1. the menu that appears at the top of the screen when you press the Fn key with something arrested appear.
2. the blue icon on the front of the machine that displays the status of the WLAN has stopped working, although the WIFI does not work always.
3 Toshiba Flashcards started popping up with an error saying they have stopped working - are there flashcards in this machine at all?
4 then, Control Panel / programs and features / turn Windows features on / off - whatever it is, I would like to add, it ends with an error - "an error occurred when installing the sw.
5. in addition, tried to upgrade to the latest Toshiba Bluetooth stack. The installation is never - ending crashes
6. access the hard disk is really slow. Do not know why. Any idea?
In the old notebooks from Toshiba, I would setup just a package of COMMON MODULE, but I can't find something like this for Vista.
Any help on this appreciated. Please, send them to [email protected], too.
Hello Jiri
As a first step, I will confirm what Robin wrote on the package of added value. Back to your problem: no one knows what kind of software you installed and t is possible that now you have some negative influence on the functionality of Flash cards. Please try to reactivate the flash cards. You can do this next start - all programs-Toshiba-Utilities-Restart Flash Cards.
To be honest, after installation of some software there are many issues with your laptop nice Portege and maybe you need to restore the operating system to an earlier time using System Restore option. After having done that, I'm sure that everything will be OK again.

iPhoto has stopped working. When I try to download the latest version, I massage "this update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by another user or the item has been refunded or cancelled."... why?
Mac OS X 10.10.3 and newer include Photos, which is designed as a replacement for iPhoto. If you want to go on the use of iPhoto in addition to or instead of switch to Photos, click here and try following the instructions; you will only be able to do if you got before where associated with iPhoto on the Mac App store.

Satellite Pro L20: Adapter WLan has stopped working and will not allow
Hello
I have a L20 Pro Satalite, which works very well. However, just before Christmas 2006, the adapter wireless (Atheros AR5005G) has stopped working.
Windows XP Pro SP2 can see the adapter and network connections shows as being activated, but he sees not all networks.
The Atheros Client Utility says that the adapter pases troubleshooting TI test diagnosis up to the Radio, when he says that the Radio is disabled and must be enabled in the Client utility.
'Excellent!', I thought: opening the utility forward. Looked in the Action menu to find "turn on the Radio" is greyed out!
Help!
Any help is very welcome.
See you soon,.
Barry Smith.
Is there a hardware option to enable and disable your wireless network card? (switch)
You upgrade your Wlan driver recently? (If Yes, maybe with the wrong driver?)I had a similar problem once and resolved through driver updates... want to give it a try?
You can download the driver generic Atheros (Version 5.0.0.107) available here:

on dv6 fingerprint reader has stopped working after installing Norton 2012
Fingerprint reader has stopped working after installing Norton Internet Security 2012 on both of my notebooks from HP.
Product name: HP Pavilion dv6
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
Error message in Device Manager under biometric devices in Device Manager displays an exclamation mark beside validity sensors (WBF) (PID = 0018). The following message is under the general tab: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ».
Driver is present and seems to be up-to-date.
Appreciate your help.
I have finally isolated the problem of my software lack of HP dv6 fingerprint reader. I think Norton Removal Tool, available online at www.symentec.com/nrt, was the reason. I am sure this conclusion because the exact same problem occurred after I installed Norton Internet Security 2012 on laptop HP same as my wife. I tried, in vain, to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the biometric fingerprint device provided by Validity Sensors, Inc.
After spending a day and a half to try to "solve" the problem, I decided to restore my system and go back to the prior agreement of the point of the installation of Norton. Thank you HP to make this process quick and painless. Don't forget that if you installed anything after the restore point, it will have to be reinstalled.
Fortunately, there's a less intrusive on CD of Norton removal tool. This utility uninstalls an older version of Norton you are requested to restart and then installs the latest NIS. It is a method of removal safer that wide brush offered by the Norton Online link, which wipes everything remotely suspect.
After reinstalling Norton Internet Security 2012 from the CD, everything works as it should, including the fingerprint reader.
