Sync blackBerry with multiple computers, different OS from Smartphones

Will I be in pain if I sync my 8330 with different computers? My office is Vista 64 bit. The laptop is Vista 32 bit. The netbook is XP. At least it will be to Win7. Is it important for the 8330?

Hello

I thought about what you want to do, and I think you can read this

link and see if it is not easier.

You get a free Gmail address, which gets you a calendar and contacts as well.

You now have the schedule even on two laptops, with contacts.

You install Google mobile sync on the Blackberry. It's an app that keeps your

BB in sync with Google Calendar and contacts. Mobile sync is a stand-alone application

This synchronization for you frontends.

Now you have two laptops that use a calendar together, 2 Blackberry than auto

synchronize with the same schedule. You have no office on the work laptop Manager.

(you need on the PC at home).  4 devices, all in sync, without manual intervention

and oh yes... it's FREE!

A cherry for the top.

You can have your email of pushed and managed by Google mail work.

Any email delivered to your work e-mail account can answer from Gmail and will be

sent using your work e-mail account.

Let us know how you want to proceed.

Thank you

Anyone know if there is a problem with the sync with Outlook on different computers.  I want my calendar at home and at the office and are reluctant to try in case everything is deleted or duplicated.

Thank you!  I have defined it as a 2 - way home which is what I want.  Sync 1 way at the office is very well.

  • Sync Blackberry with Outlook 2007 on Vista

Hello. A brief introduction before my question. Recently, I tried Outlook to XP on my computer which uses Vista and I was not able to sync Outlook with my Blackberry curve calendar. I looked at Outlook 2007 and it is certified for use on Vista, so I expect that my blackberry should synchronize with outlook. My question is; has anyone who uses the OS Vista and Outlook 2007 has sync issues? Thank you

    HELO papabear72,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I checked several Forums Blackberry and Outlook forums and you should be able to sync without problem.
You will need to install Blackberry Desktop manager and synchronization with Outlook 2007. I saw where it syncs with Outlook 2010 beta.

There may be some problems for some people with the Outlook calendar.
You can check the forum Blackberry here or by mail to the Outlook forum listed above.

  • Sync blackBerry with Blackberry classic and computer software problems

I get persistent on Blackberry link error messages when I try to sync my BB classic with my computer. The message reads: "CPreferences Manager: Configuration for, preferences, Account_5_327628, SyncAccountld_2 not the value inTransConfig.xml for translator RimBB.'»

What this means and how can I fix the problem, so my sync can be successful, please?

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I followed the procedures. I already have the latest version of Windows 7 Professional on my computer and the 1.2 update link to BlackBerry. I've also posted the order suggested in the command prompt. After pressing the Enter key, I launched the Blackberry link again. Unfortunately, the same errors occurred.

Rather than trying to contact BlackBerry Technical Support Services, I watched again the synchronization process... There seems to be no problems regarding synchronization of the Contacts. However, the mechanism seems to hesitate on the sync of the calendar entries. On this basis, I went back and changed my settings for the calendar so I changed to a two-way synchronization between the device and the computer for a one-way ticket between my device and the computer with a preference given to my device. A message indicating that some elements would be removed from my computer and others from my camera. Given that I printed on my calendar every week from Outlook, I felt that it was worth sacrificing some entries if he allowed the synchronization to continue smoothly. So I accepted the deletions. When I tried to sync again, no error has occurred. At this point I returned to two-way sync as I had before, but always with the preference given to my device.

Perhaps the above can be useful to others who are struggling with the same error message.

  • Sync'ing on multiple computers

Since 4 years, I used to have a Treo 600 that I Sync with three other PC using one of the old versions of Desktop. I had to replace this wonderful Treo longevity with a Centro and the Desktop 6.2 accompaniment. I was able to set up the Centro with my main computer and all the works of sync'ing as usual on this one machine. However, I'm unable to sync with my other two computers - hotsync hangs at the phase of transfer Contacts. All computers running XP.

    How can I fix it?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim

I would try something else, because it seems that the issue could be with the data on your phone.

There is a freeware called DbFixIt www.pimlicosofware.com application.  Very effectively, it identifies the blobs damaged, corrupt or no data in databases on your handheld and allows you to remove them.  For a registration fee of $13, you can also have repair damaged databases.

Many people gladly used their Palm devices with the older desktop without any problem software, but many problems like this arose when people started using Palm Desktop 6.2.2.  I don't know if it was just a coincidence or if there is something on the 6.2.2 pp that tolerates less imperfect data from my scientific observation of reading the forums on a daily basis... just pocket on.

Suggest you give a try... can't hurt.

  • Problem of Q5 Sync blackBerry with 10.3 on Q5

Since my Q5 has updated to 10.3, the synchronization of calendar and contact with Outlook on Windows 8 2013 does not work properly. The synchronization works only Outlook to BB and does not BB to Outlook. Before update 10.3, it worked very well both ways.

My Blackberry link is configured correctly for the two way synchronization between the device and the computer.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Also, since my upgrade 10.3 Q5 icons on the BB are much smaller. They seems to be designed for a device with a larger screen. Is there a way to increase the size of the icons?

I checked that and Outlook.com is not manipulating the third party email address. So that means that I still have to use my Outlook 2013.

Based on your proposal, I'll have to 2013 Outlook to manage email on my PC, Outlook.com to synchronize contacts and calendar with my BB and Evernote to sync Notes. It must me an easier way...

I tried already Office, but stopped because it's too slow on 10.3 and I don't like their UX. I think I'll be back with this solution. It can synchronize the calendar, Contacts, Notes and tasks.

When I sync my torch to my computer running Windows7 it is the ability to synchronize contacts from Windows Live Contacts but no option to synchronize the calendar in Windows Live Calendar.

Is there a work around or should I spend $ 170.00 for Outlook?

Currently, there is no support for Windows Live Calendar and BlackBerry Desktop Software.

I select Windows address book as it seems closest to you.  I'm out of ideas.  Thanks for trying to help with that I appreciate it.

I keep running into KB and post saying that when synchronizing Windows Contacts, Outlook Express is the most frequently used option. Tell you what, give us time to find some info, in the meantime, check your PC for all instances of Outlook Express.

I'll check with you tomorrow, his own good?

  • The Lightroom Catalog to share with multiple computers.

Is it possible for two or more people to collaborate on a collection? I have a project, I am working with a few other people, and I would like to have a common collection, that we could ad photos and edit metadata (captions) on images, that other contributors have added.

    Is this possible in Lightroom?

Lightroom is not designed to be a multi-user software.

The only way I can see what happens is if you put the catalog file and all the photos on an external hard drive and then move the external hard drive from computer to computer as needed.

  • BlackBerry with OS 4.6 v. Smartphones TCP/IP questions

    Greetings, all.

Just got my 8900 yesterday evening, and so far I am very impressed indeed. Most of the applications I need have been immediately and readily available, the phone itself is intuitive and easy to use - a n00b experience all ' round. My problem is that I'm trying to get some third party clients SSH, FTP and SFTP works correctly. I'm tunneling of exceptions, which is apparently caused by a misconfigured APN.

I tried to change the APN settings according to the instructions here (my carrier is Cincinnati Bell). Unfortunately, something seems to have changed in the meantime to publication of the article and the current operating system review: I'm more able to specify the gateway IP or port. While I can provide the url of the AFN and a username and password, which does not seem to be enough to fix my problems of tunneling.

TL; DR: this application is saying "error in Session; ' Author: tunnel failed ". This is apparently caused by incorrectly configured connection details according to the here. The page of recommended solutions here pointing me here, which tells me to do something I can't do. On the one hand, the Options-> TCP seems to have been replaced with the Options-> advanced-> TCP/IP Options and seems to have had a few features removed. Recommended actions not caused no change in the behavior of the application.

Ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Chris Akins

... gremlins. It's the only explanation I can think. An hour and a half after changing the APN settings, it fixed itself. I guess that there is somewhere a little lag in the system somewhere.

Regardless, it works now and thanks for the advice. I would not have found the BTSC earlier; Thanks a lot for pointing me at home. And I think I could hang out. It seems a friendly place.

  • Matching sculpt Comfort mouse on multiple computers

I recently bought a Microsoft Sculpt comfort mouse to use with my Dell laptop. I have two Dell laptops that I would use this mouse, step at a time, but when it is docked in a docking station, Dell. So far, it seems that I can only pair the mouse with one machine at a time, causing me to need re-pair the mouse each time I want to use it on another laptop. I spend on laptops (1 for work, 1 for personal use) at least once a day re-pairing the mouse every time is going to be painful solution.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the pair of mouse to these two machines? No laptop has integrated Bluetooth, so I use Bluetooth dongle connected directly to the docking station. So the laptop disconnected will not attempt to use the mouse when using the laptop connected.
My obvious alternative is to return the mouse and choose one that uses its own (no Bluetooth) wireless dongle. I'd rather not do this if it is not possible to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hey Ross,

Use the built-in Windows function, it is not possible to pair the mouse with multiple computers. However, you might find some third-party programs that perform the same process. You can search using your favorite search engine.
