Hello1. with the device that you are trying to synchronize?
2 - is the first time you try to sync Windows media player?Windows Media Player has encountered a problem during the synchronization of the file to the portable device. Because this error can occur for various reasons, there is no single solution. To resolve the problem, try to disconnect and reset. See your device manual for specific instructions on performing this procedure. In some cases, this error may occur if you try to synchronize a file hidden on a device. Hello
I want to switch to Chrome, Firefox, but I have a problem with the synchronization feature.
It always displays the following error message: ' Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error. " Synchronize automatically retrying this action. »I already tried this work around, but it did not work: remove my account from syncing, completely reset my Firefox profile, import my favorites of Chrome (using an HTML file), set up a new sync account (using the same e-mail address then that previously deleted).
But I still get the error message.I saw in other threads that could be a problem with the story, so I also tried to delete, but it doesn't work anymore.
Here is my last sync-log file: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8219943
Thanks for your help.
I finally found a solution to this problem of synchronization:
I downloaded the add-on 'Housekeeping' and run the integrity check routine, and it seems to have solved the problem.

Hello
- Will there be any changes made prior to this issue?
- What version of Windows are you using?
Step 1: I recommend to run the Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter and check.

(A) uninstall Windows Media Player:
a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.
b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
c. find multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
d. restart the computer
(B) reinstall Windows Media Player:

This has happened since the last update. Currently on v38.0.1 desktop. I don't see this message when you use an Android tablet, and Favorites and passwords seem to be synchronized.
The message then offers the preference button. When I click the button, the message disappears. Reappear when you navigate to a new tab.
Thanks for help on this.

You see the entrance with the Sync (Firefox) credentials in the Firefox password manager that I posted in my first answer?
- Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".
- chrome://FirefoxAccounts
Can sign you here?
Have you tried to delete the signedInUser.json file in the Firefox profile folder?
Con - El,
Thank you. Yes, I've always seen the Firefox Sync credentials, and I can't connect to accounts.firefox.com/settings.This morning, I deleted the signedInUser.json file in the profile folder, rebooted Foxfire and signed in Web sites. I left the PC to go to sleep. Wake up two hours later, there is no error message.
I note that the file signInUser not re-emerged during the re-start of Firefox. If at this point, it looks like to solve.
Thank you
Rita

Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error?
I did all the procedures to run the synchronization. I always get this error message. As another user, mine started after the last update. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank you all for reading and useful advice. (Turn off sync is NOT useful.)
Thank you, according to the newspaper, synchronization fails because there is a malformed bookmark that apparently breaks things.
I don't know how it would be possible to identify the incorrect one. one thing you might try is to go to the library of Favorites (ctrl + shift + b) > import and backup and export your bookmarks in the .html file and backup as a .json once. You can then try to re-import from these sources to backup again and see if this can solve the problem... -

I am using the new firefox Sync since it is has been implemented without problem. I got this error after you perform the following steps:
(1) old drive replaced with the new SSD drive and installed Windows 7 drivers etc + Firefox
(2) deleted AAA@***.com Firefox Sync account
(3) BBB@***.com Firefox Sync account created
(4) imported my favorites last folder E:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\***.default\bookmarkbackups on the old drive.Since then, whenever I open Firefox I get the above error. If I enter the password 'Firefox Sync' sync works fine until the next time that I restart Firefox.
I think I've tried all the solutions on the firefox support forums and Firefox Sync troubleshooting.
Among others, I have:(1) updating Firefox is
(2) signedInUser.json deleted, restarted firefox with Add-ons disabled, account forget Firefox Sync, reconnect to the account
(3) deleted Firefox Sync account and recreated
(4) completely uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller, file C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\ deleted, reinstalled firefox firefox.Last error sync-log http://pastebin.com/K7PaPMbB
Thanks for any help
Thank you 1 million.
You pointed me to the right direction. Manager of password has been activated, but it seems that firefox has reset my privacy settings.
All I had to do was my privacy settingsand in my history of custom parameters, click parameters next to "Clear history of Firefox closing" and uncheck the box "Saved passwords" as in the following image
