  The latest version of iTunes is 12.3.2 and requires a later version of Mac OS X. The latest version of iOS requires the latest version of iTunes. See the system requirements for the Mac version of iTunes.

  Mac system requirements

  I have connected my iPhone 6 more to my PC using a USB cable. Through iTunes, I was warned that there was a new iOS update (10 9.3.5). I backed up my iPhone first (no problem), then says to download and install the update. The iTunes window says 'Preparing iPhone for the software update... "and there is a pop up in the front window that says"syncing iPhone. "with a green bar crossing.

  I tried different restore points, same msg appears every time...

My phone syncs perfectly with brcause of HP laptop to my sister its iTunes is 12.5.3 version I think. This means that I have to update my Macbook Pro 5 years OS X El Capitan or Maverick?   I try to sync to my iPhone, but get the error message that it "cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items (262,1 required Mo, 489,3 Mo available)" is meaningless.  I tried to restart the phone, but that did not help.  I tried to throw a few apps, you wonder if that takes back us to a logical point.  Don't know what else to try.  iOS and iTunes both current versions.  Thanks to everyone who has a suggestion.

  In general, about twice as much space which is presented as necessary should be free. 262.1 MB means how much space the content will take on your iPhone once synchronized, but during the synchronization process, additional space is required to store temporary files while iTunes moves items in place on your iPhone. Try to import photos and videos to your computer and then removing the copies on the phone in order to free more space. Or you could just remove some you need is more directly from your iPhone.

  The problem is that your Mac works an obsolete OS X 10.6.8. iTunes for Mac minimum requirement is v10.9.5 or later which is indicated here > http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

  The alternative is to see if your Mac can upgrade to Mac OS Sierra > macOS - how updated - Apple

  With Sierra installed you can run the latest version of iTunes 12.5.1 and should be able to sync your iPhone.

  I had this problem, which occurs more often when you try to synchronize with my Apple Watch. I have paired with the iPhone and load time. The iphone connected to BT and WiFi. I select music in the Apple Watch app (I put it at a maximum of 2 GB of music) and then choose a playlist on my iPhone it is 520MB in size. Most of the time, the synchronization 'in the meantime' will appear and never progress beyond that. On rare occasions, it has synchronized music to the watch. When I try to update the playlist and syncing again, it often hangs on "sync in progress".   I have the same problem with my iPhone 7 series Apple Watch 2. I can't sync the playlist with Apple Watch. It has synchronized some songs and the name of the playlist, but that's all. When I change or remove a few songs in the list, it says sync or waiting but no progress. The annoying part is the morning. After night, I leave my phone and watch the load, my phone is hot in the morning and another songs have not yet synchronized. I am in desperate need of this specification. I want to at least know is there something to do about it or we need to live with it?

  As it is said, iTunes force crashes/closes unexpectedly when you try to sync with my iPhone 6. It is a problem, too I had with previous versions of iOS and the phone seems stuck after saving the phone, usually the last stage, or more generally during one of the steps: "waiting for items to synchronize." When I quit iTunes then reconnect the phone, it tends to go very well. That doesn't happen whenever I have clocks and is random. Was wondering if others have this problem and what could be done to remedy this.

  What you do is now very well. "Pending items to synchronize" is sometimes, especially after a system update in a long process, in order to not jump ship too early. You can also try performing a reset, while the device is connected to iTunes, but iTunes recovery generally works better.

  Try these standard troubleshooting steps.

  Reset: hold the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).
