Sync ipod

my windows media does not recognize that my ipod is connected. How can I do this?

WMP is not supported with built-in support for sync with an iPod. However, you may install a third-party plug-ins listed in the http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/WMP/Sync.htm to add this support.

Alternatively, you can also use iTunes, or built-in iPod support to Winamp for synchronization.

iOS9 on a mobile device requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which in turn requires a computer running OSX 10.8.5 or higher.  Update of the system only checks the updates for the current version of the system you run, but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements. Find your computer on the web site of http://www.everymac.com model and near the bottom of the specification of the system section, he will tell what versions of the operating system, it is able to run. If you can not run a newer system, you will not be able to sync this phone to your current computer. If she can run 10.8.5 or higher, you can either buy a download for Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion code online, or you can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM.  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

  • Sync iPod Original laptop

I just factory reset my Dell laptop. I heard that if you have a 'new' phone and you try to synchronize your ipod with songs existing on this subject, your entire library will be deleted. How can I add new songs/sync my ipod now, without wiping everything I have on it? I think I have the 4th or 5th generation ipod. Help, please...

Ideally, you should restore your iTunes data complete (including the file in your library and all the flies of media), instead of unloading of files only song to an iPod.  It's better, because you get the same iTunes library (with the data, such as playlists, ratings, play count, the data added, etc.) on the new installation of Windows.  If you can do it, because you have a backup of data from before the "factory reset" of your laptop, please report it to for more information.

Otherwise, you cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer (with the exception of songs purchased on iTunes Store).  By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links, including a CNET article on the subject.

Once your files of songs from the iPod to your disk, add them to your new iTunes library.  Completion of your iTunes library, you can synchronize the iPod for her.  Your iPod is initially clear, but is again responsible for your new iTunes library.

  • problem syncing iPod touch with iTunes

Hi, I had a problem syncing my iPod touch with iTunes. I get a message indicating that there is not enough free space to hold items in the iTunes library, which indicates that I need about 43 GB.

I tried to take as much data on my laptop thinking it would make more space available to my iTunes library which is held on my laptop.

I had a problem some time with the storage of data files and program files. I divide the hard drive and I have a Macintosh HD 2, but also a main drive of the HD. I find that I have an iTunes library in two HD players, so I think I have a duplicate library.

My iTunes app shows that I have a size of music library of-33,40 GB containing elements of 6940. My iPod touch has 6920 songs and 33 videos, 15 photos, 14 applications. The ability of the iPod touch is 56.4 GB, with 2.8 GB available.

If the problem is the duplication of library, can I remove in double track of the HD2, and how to change tp parameters to stop duplication.

Duplication of audio content seems to be a concern for you. If you have a desktop Mac, open iTunes/library/display the duplicate items. You can view and edit tracks easily.

If you do not have a Mac desktop computer, the question is a bit tricky; There is no way to detect mp3 duplicates except manually.

The good news is that the majority of your data bloat is likely to be in the 33 videos. I could most of the videos of archives and see what happens. (I have banned all THE videos of my iPod Touch and I couldn't believe how much I got space).

  • Unable to sync iPod Touch 2nd generation

My father has an iPod Touch 2nd generation he is used to synchronize the contents of iTunes.

It is OS x 10.11.6 and iPod has the latest iOS available (4.2.1). I tried to reset the iPod, but it won't always sync to iTunes (12.4.3). This generation is too old to synchronize with iTunes? I do not understand because my old 7th generation iPod classic allows you to synchronize perfectly well.

    Hey rodger186,

To start, make sure that you follow all the steps in the article below. This article also has some alternative methods for synchronization, which you might want to try as well.

12 iTunes for Windows: iPod, iPhone, or iPad sync

If you continue to have problems with this particular playlist after going through these articles, then try "withdrawal" playlist of your iPod by going to the Sync screen music for your iPod and by unchecking the playlist in question and synchronization. Once you have synchronized the playlist on your iPod, select it, and then sync it again.

You can also try to add some of these titles to a new playlist and sync that to see if there's perhaps own titles that could cause this problem for you.

The following steps should help you to isolate the cause of your problems.

  • Sync ipod Nano to the spare computer

I would like to sync my iPod on another computer that I have "authorized". When I try to synchronize, put in guard lose all of the music on the iPod scare me off the coast. The original computer I used to charge the iPod crashed and burned.  It can't be this hard?  This is me. It's always me. Help?  Thank you.

If you use automatic synchronization, your iPod can be associated with ONE iTunes library at a time.  It was not the 'computer' or the computer is "authorized".  By definition, iTunes can only "sync" your iPod with iTunes library.  If you have a backup of your entire iTunes library, you can restore your iTunes library to a new computer, and your iPod would be happily sync with it, because it's the same iTunes library (on another computer).

When you have associated your iPod to a new iTunes library, the old iTunes library's existing content is erased and replaced by the content of the new iTunes library.  To avoid losing the existing iPod content, you must unload it.  By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer songs from iPod to the computer (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links.  Here is a method that requires no additional software

Once the files of songs from the iPod to your disk, add them to your current iTunes library.  After checking all the songs are in your iTunes library, you can sync your iPod.  Further, you should back up your iTunes data, as well as the rest of your user data.  iPods are not designed to be your iTunes backup.  To back up all your full iTunes library, you can use this method

  • Sync iPod very old classic in my musical library of MacBook Pro

My husband has an old, classic iPod (remember the year), and I would add my iTunes library (songs) for what is already on the iPod.   When I connected the iPod to my 2011 MacBook Pro, set iTunes to update iPod to the latest version of the software, but then do not synchronize.  When I plug my iPod to more recent (2011) model, it automatically up-to-date with my iTunes library.  Why don't the old iPod to date as well?

    Thank you

    Katrina

If the iPod is currently to synchronize with your husband iTunes library, it doesn't syncs automatically with your (different) iTunes library, unless you change the association so that it syncs with your iTunes library.  The iPod can only using automatic synchronization ( synchronization music setting) with one iTunes library at a time.  If you change the binding so that the iPod will sync with your iTunes library, content current iPod is deleted and replaced with the content in your iTunes library.

To do this, select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show the settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click music.  Right, parameters of music on the iPod screen.

NOTE: All of the songs from the iPod that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.  If there is a problem, thanks for posting

Check the box to Sync music.  This enables automatic sync and combines the iPod to your iTunes library.  If your library iTunes music can fit on the iPod, you can choose the option synchronize entire music library.  Then click apply.  iTunes syncs your music to the iPod, by replacing its existing content.  Further, iTunes automatically keeps your iPod 'in phase' with your iTunes music library when you connect (or click sync , if already connected).

  • Cannot sync iPod after updating to iTunes

I've updated to the latest version of iTunes last week and now I can't sync my iPod. My computer recognizes that USB is fired, so it's not the cable. But the drop on iTunes does not select the synchronization option to allow me to click on it. I use Windows 10 and have a second generation nano, which still works fine with the exception of this new glitch of not sync.

If you use iTunes 12 for the first time, the iPod appears as a button on the device on the horizontal bar that runs through the window iTunes.  The sync menu bar control can be disabled, unless you first select the iPod in iTunes.  Here is a screenshot of the upper left corner of my iTunes, the iPod the device buttondisplay window.

Click on the button of the device to select the iPod in iTunes and displays its parameters.  You do not see the iPod touch device in iTunes when you connect iPod?
