Sync problems Xbox 360 wireless receiver for Windows and the controller (Windows XP, SP3)

I'm having trouble connecting my controller to the wireless receiver. I use XP, Service Pack 3, 32-bit. I read dozens of help sites for help, but none has my same circumstances. The most common suggestion was to look at the driver for the receiver appears as a device not recognized. I checked the Device Manager and the receiver is recognized and does not appear as device not recognized. My controller does not appear in Device Manager as a new group named Microsoft Common Controller for Windows class, on Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. My controller syncs perfectly with my console, and functions very well also. I also downloaded the file Microsoft Xbox 360 accessories of the Microsoft hardware Web site, such as recommended by many establishments but do not know how file functions. A last help, my receiver is genuine and not fake with the XBCD holographic logo.

  • my USB doesn't register that my xbox 360 wireless receiver is plugged!

I have windows 7 installed on my computer. x 64.

I can't save the computer I plugged the receiver, when I plug the rceiver turns on (green LED flashes). This device does not appear in the device as an unknown device manager, the bubble (installation of new equipment) never come when I plugged in the device. I installed the driver of wireless controller from the microsoft hardware site.

I followed the instructions out of the many sites, most of the steps I just can't follow because everyone elses computer seems to show this "unknown device" in the Device Manager. So I can't manually install drivers into something that isn't really there.

This is a real piece of equipment of microsoft and has the hologram on the bottom, it is a controller for the PC black Wireless receiver that came with a disk configuration, v2.0.2. The installation program provided on the disc does not start as it as "microsoft this has blocked due to compatibility issues". I even tried to download an update of compatibility from the microsoft Download Center, but as I have to enter a code of genuine validation and the validation tool does not work can't do that either. I went directly from windows XP to windows 7, my computer is two days old.

If someone can provide me with any useful information I would appreciate it really, im starting to think I might have a broken unit, but I never thought it would still light up. I also tried all 6 available usb ports on my computer but it still does not detect the device as new hardware. I will quote once again as the only solution that I find online seems to be with regard to updating the "unknown device" in Device Manager, this unknown device does not exist in my device manager.

    Kind regards

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

    1. what compatibility update you tried to download?

    2. what was the code of genuine validation, you need to enter?

3 did you receive an error message when the validation tool has failed?

  • Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver - this is going to work with a remote xbox?

Hi, I have the xbox 360 Wireless gaming receiver and I am trying to get a remote control for it.  Does the xbox 360 remote sync to the xbox or is it just regular IR

    Thanks for your help

The xbox 360 remote control Infra-red, the 360 has an IR receiver port.

The wireless gaming receiver is radio only, so will not pick up the remote control. There isn't AFAIK a 'remote control' for the wireless receiver such that it has a validity of the Protocol only for xbox 360 Wireless devices, although there are a lot of 3rd inventive party accessories available, there might be something. You can of course use one of these wireless devices as a remote for other applications with the right software (xpadder, beam, etc.).

The Xbox 360 remote control can be used with a PC using an IR receiver, but it's not plug-and-play, here is a solution: http://www.redmondpie.com/using-xbox-360-ir-remote-with-vista-media-center/

Other that that, there are a multitude of remotes for PC, IR and wireless (including bluetooth). Bluetooth is the option if you want to keep your number of receivers plugged into your pc to a minimum, however, IR is still much better for the battery of remote controls (why it is still used despite the benefits of the radio).

  • Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and Windows RT (Surface)

    Hello

I have a Microsoft Surface and would like to try my game controller Xbox 360 Wireless with it that says Microsoft is compatible it seeks here (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/win8/CompatCenter/Home).

I have a play and a cordon of charge I Plug and results in the Xbox controller picked up like "Controller wireless Xbox 360 via Play & Charge Kit" at devices however I don't seem to be able to use the controller to play all games (3D Rocket Riot and Skiddy the slippery Puzzle are the only ones I've tried so far that mention Xbox controllers support).

The controller plugged and pressing the Guide (the middle one), the buttons turns green flash just like its looking for something but do not pick up anything.

    So the big question...

    What I am doing wrong?

I have not tried the controller wireless Xbox 360 on the Surface, but I know that even for general computing, you need a receiver of the controller wireless Xbox 360, not only play & Charge Kit: this device, exactly as his name, cannot charge your controller, and can't do anything else, for example, connect the controller to any other computer , or whatever.

  • Game 360 wireless receiver does not appear in Device Manager.

    Hello

I recently bought a 360 game wireless receiver for my laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)) (w / two usb 3.0 ports)
The receiver came with an installation disk that redirect me to a download of updated driver where I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers (64-bit). After installing syncing controllers unsuccessfully. The receiver flashes green when I press the button and the controller detects the signal when I press the button, but she never settled in a quadrant to the light upward.
I searched the internet and this site where people asked similar questions. "Most have solved their problem by following a step by step process that is to locate a "unidentified device" or a" ""controller common microsoft ' in the Device Manager. I think not or the other device, a manager.

It's my problem, I would be able to resolve the issue had the device in Device Manager, but this isn't the case.

If anyone could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Xbox 360 Wireless network adapter driver

I am currently using OS of Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit on my computer. When you use the adapter wireless Microsoft Xbox 360 with the drivers provided by Microsoft, Windows recognizes 5 'axis' and 10 'buttons '. Windows axis recognize are: X rotation, rotation Y (right stick), X axis, y-axis (left stick) and the Z axis is left and right triggers. My question is about the Z axis and the Guide button. Why the two triggers control the same Z axis? Also, why can't assign the Guide button to function? This driver provides Microsoft does not allow to link triggers to 2 different functions and use these 2 functions at the same time (for example: for while fire) because the left and right triggers neutralize! Having the left trigger that the right and rotation Z fire as Z axis (or left trigger button 11 and right trigger button 12), as well as assign the key Guide key 13, you need to uninstall the (UN)? supported Microsoft Driver for the adapter Xbox 360 Wireless and replace it with a written by a Japanese man named Masahiko Morii. Why? Why Microsoft doesn't have a Xbox 360 wireless adapter driver that is configurable to assign the Guide button to function? Why don't they have a driver that is configurable to assign the left and right triggers to 2 separate lines? Why can I not pay the linearity or sensitivity of the dead zone of the controller with the MS driver? Why can not I have 4 lights on the controller flash or rotating with the Microsoft driver, and yet I can with Masahiko Morii driver? The 360 controller is great, but how is it, Microsoft makes bad drivers for it when you use it with your PC?
