  I realize that starting from 7/11, Windows Live is more effective on my Windows Vista system.  I understand that and I have since beengetting my Hotmail acc't workingusing only Windows Live Mail.  This am, I tried to create a new account hotmail for my friend, but we couldn't get it to accept and just stopped trying.  Now, today, I can not send any e-mail because "you cannot configure Windows Mail to use a web (HTTP) that is running Windows Vista based."  WHA?  I managed somehow to get into Windows Live when I tried to get a new account hotmail for my friend?  Also, I also receive a message from the Assistant on "you want to want to leave, you have not created your new account?  (probably not the exact wording).  In response, I clicked Yes and no, and still I can't get out of this Windows Live.  I would like to purge my system of this needless to Windows Live and only use Windows Live Mail.  Can someone help me to do this?  (My knowledge of couputer is at a basic level, so hopefully it won't be too difficult to understand.)  Thank you!!!

  (With the HTTP mess), it seems Windows Mail and Windows LIVE Mail are two very different things.

  I am not a technician, but try to stay up-to-date. I have known that Vista sucks because it came out, but it surprised me, never have used before today. So I wonder...  Windows LIVE Mail can be installed on a Vista unit, and if so he would remove the format HTTP bug? It's all THE Microsoft, after all! On my PC with Windows 7 HP with complete Essentials, including Live Mail (for PC, to avoid confusion with the version online), I have not had any problems to Hotmail at work, send or receive. GMail also, no problem, the only thing I did NOT like about Live Mail is that it doesn't have the handy function "Sweep" that I love, I just go online to own things very quickly. With only Windows Mail (which I assume is supplied with Vista), it won't let me even try to set-up Hotmail/Outlook account. It's stupid, because like I said it's all EM!

  Windows Mail is the e-mail that comes with client program and a part of Windows Vista. Windows Live Mail is a program available for free download; It is an e-mail client, the timing, the Manager contacts, aggregator and newsreader at a single feeding program.

  Until a few years ago, it was possible to synchronize the Hotmail accounts with e-mail clients on Windows XP and Vista (Outlook Express and Windows Mail respectively) using WebDAV over HTTP protocol. This method has been deprecated after a long sequence of initialization in September 2009. Before that date, POP3 access has been made available for all Hotmail accounts. At any time it was not possible to access Hotmail email clients accounts. There is no bug involved here, nor in HTTP format or anything else.

  Windows Live Mail is built to use a different former WebDAV protocol; DeltaSync protocol allows the synchronization of e-mail folders, contacts, and calendars between client and server.

  You may be able to download the installer for Windows Live Mail 2011 of this page: How to install Windows Essentials while offline? Do not try to include Windows Live Writer or Messenger in the installation; None of them will work and you can gum up toward the top of the entire installation Essentials if you do. It may be better to stick to one mail at first. Windows Live Mail 2011 is the latest version which runs on Vista.

  When I open Windows Mail in Vista, all messages in my Inbox from my account (earthlink) default are automatically downloaded into the Inbox, Windows mail and deleted the default account.  Help, please.

• Calendar synchronization between Windows 8 and Windows RT app

  I just upgraded to windows 8 on my desk and I am in the market for a product like portable surface / Tablet Convertible.

  I am attracted by such a device running Windows RT because it will be cheaper and the battery will last longer than a complete system of Windows 8.
  However, I know that RT of Windows does not have Outlook.
  On my desk I synchronize my mail & apps calendar with Outlook.
  So finally, here is my question:
  Can I sync the mail & calendar Apps on my new device Windows RT (yet-to-be-purchased) with those on my desk
  Or is that just a waste?

  The answer depends on the source of your emails.

  If you download your emails in Outlook using a POP3 server then emails will be more available on the internet to do while you're mobile.

  I don't know if Windows RT connect directly to your PC so that your emails and calendar must be accessible from the internet.

  I use Hotmail personal e-mail and Exchange (server)------Outlook at work. Hotmail is supported, as is a synchronization with the exchange server.

  If you are happy to spend your message and agenda to Hotmail (direct mail) then you will be closer to what you are after.

  My apologies if I missed a new solution or a better answer, but as I understand it works.

  You can add the music you from Windows Media Player to iTunes all you have to do is go to menu-> add the file-> and look for the music.

  I've used PhotoShop Elements on Windows for quite awhile.

  I make heavy use of key words.

  Now we have a couple of iPads, iPhones, etc.

  I'm looking for an app that will benefit from the investment I made in keyword tagging with PSE under Windows.

  I would like to be able to get all my photos to my iPad. Then, perform a search by key words in a manner similar to

  what I do now in organizing PSE. Also, it would be great if the albums I have on the EPS can be viewed on the devices as well.

  Creative cloud is maybe a solution that could do this? I think I'll probably continue to do most of my editing on Windows.

  So I don't think that I need a lot of editing on iOS. I want to large display and organization capabilities, however.

  Yes, I use the iTunes sync PSE Album now.

  That works very well for basic albums.

  It does not support the smart Albums.

  This is a limitation.

  The iPad has a fantastic screen.

  The interface is really nice and friendly.

  I can find all kinds of applications on the iPad for photo editing.

  But for the Organization, I guess that I've simply become spoiled by the organizing power of PES.

  I have not found an Adobe or any other application that will do that.

  I tried to Revel. It allows the creation of tags 'event '. And Albums.

  But if there is something revel who focuses on existing metadata, I of course could not find.

  It seemed that I could see my library in a sort of 'All media' view.

  Or view where the images are ordered by date.

  Maybe the update of Windows support will add this feature?

  I think many other users of Nokia's reported problems with this PC Suite software. I suggest you look on the Nokia forums for support with this specific software, as it is a question of Nokia PC Suite and not a Windows Mail or Windows issue.

  Windows Mail comes with Vista. It has not been updated. It can only access POP and IMAP e-mail accounts, not Hotmail. If you access multiple e-mail accounts, all messages come in an Inbox.

  Windows Live Mail is newer and has gone through a few updates. It can access POP, IMAP and Hotmail accounts. He separated from Inbox, etc. for each e-mail account.

  Are you able to create new folders and move data in this folder, if it looks like your previous structure?  Please let me know if you're still having problems.

  A bit confused what is the difference between windows mail, windows live mail and windows mail essentials.  I was told that windows live mail is not compatible with the scrolling etc. with stationery as the old outlook express.  But, said there is a program that is windows mail which is compatible with stationery for windows 7 and the next windows 8.  So, tell me what is the difference, and this was apparently offered with Vista? so why was he not available under windows 7?

  This morning, my Windows Mail is no longer my e-mails sent in the sent items folder. E-mail send OK, and I'm getting the small arrow icon purple on the projection of graphics Inbox mail I answered. It is simply not save copies of the sent emails.

  To my knowledge, nothing has changed since yesterday and I have installed any new software. I checked the settings of e-mail Options and is checked for "backup copy of messages sent in the sent items folder. Just to be sure I unchecked, then checked again and press on apply, but it did not help.

  Any thoughts? I REALLY need copies of all of my sent mail. Is there a maximum number of sent messages, I can save maybe?

  (BTW - I'm on Vista Ultimate Edition with Service Pack 2. I use AVG Free for my anti-virus, but nothing has changed there either, as far as I know.)

  Before going through the stages of the reconstruction of the base of messages, try to repair the database with my Windows Mail utility and see if that fixes the problem.  Seewww.oehelp.com/WMUtil/ also make sure AVG is not scan e-mail because that could be the culprit of this issue.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

  Try searching *.eml and make sure you include hidden files and folders in the search parameters.  See also here for the Organization of store message (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  You should be able to use the browser to go to the directory of sent items under the directory of local records and the actual messages will be located there.  It may be useful to compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and make sure that everything in the folder, you saw the value. Current view | Show all messages.

  I don't know how to repair the database. It does not ask if I want compact everyonce in awhile and I answer yes then he does. I can not delete the account and add it again because I have too many messages inside both in files and not in the records.

  What is a POP3 account? If Yes, you can certainly remove the account, restart and add it again. No messages will be lost.

  With respect to the repair of the database, you download and install
  WMUtil and then click on the button that says Repair Database. Simple.
