Synchronization with computer without SIM card blackBerry Smartphones

I still have my BB BOLD ubt waiting for provider myservice provide SIM card (it takes 3 weeks).

While I'm waiting, it is possible to synchronize my phone with my office in order to import contacts, etc., without the SIM card inside? If I do this, when I put the sim card, mydata will remain in the phone?

Thank you!

All contacts and data synchronize you with the BlackBerry device is stored in the device memory or the memory card, no Sim Card, go ahead.

I just bought a BB bold and now I want to transfer data from my old phone (a nokia 95) to my BB... In your previous post you said you use Outlook. You are using Windows Mail or Outlook on the computer? I don't think the Desktop Manager can synchronize with Windows Calendar.

See this link for programs that the Desktop Manager can synchronize with. It is in section "organizing Support.

  • 'Insert SIM card' blackBerry smartphones and SOS signal - sim and signal error

Hi, this is my first post so bare with me

My 9000 "BOLD", which ive had for a lil and now has decided to not give a signal more or even accept my sim card.

Ive tried a complete cleaning of the handset (and I backed everything up), remove and reinsert the sim card and the good old battery pull but nothing works and the problem is still there.

my phone is locked to t-mobile and I contacted them to help my problem, but they were dog-disorder absolute!

What do you think I should do here?

    Thanks in advance

If your phone don't like your SIM card and won't give you a signal, you should look into getting a phone that makes.

If you are still in your warranty period, you should walk to your carrier for a replacement.  However, before doing so be sure to do a backup via Desktop Manager.

  • Problems with a new Media card blackBerry Smartphones

I bought a 1 GB micro SD card to go in my "BOLD" and now I want to upgrade to an 8 GB card (1 GB was obviously not enough almost ).  I own a Mac, so I can't use the BB Desktop Manager to transfer files from one card to my computer, then on the new card.  I tried to download PocketMac and for some reason, the computer does not recognize the phone when it is connected.  I tried to use a memory card reader, but when I went to transfer the files from my computer to my new card, I got an error message saying that the 'Blackberry folder is not editable."  How can I solve this problem?  In addition, just assume that I'm completely stupid tech and talk down to me please !

    Cool!
I'm glad that you fixed it.
Please solve the thread so that others can find your answer faster.

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! Bold 9700 is frozen on start up with the new sim card

I tried looking for similar topics but could not find more relevant. everyone seems to have no problem with swapping of cards sim on their fat. If there is a thread already open, I'm sorry. I am really frustrated and really need my blackberry to be operational.

I have a Bold 9700, updated to the latest OS, everything works fine. I recently had some problems with my old sim card so I went to my service provider to change to another (same number, same line, same contract, just a new sim card).

As it is expected that I was told that when my old sim is disabled, simply insert my new and I use my phone as normal.

However, when I did this, the phone was stuck at the loading screen (the bar is all white) for eternity (maybe 5 minutes or more) before moving on to the home screen. There is no charge "security check" bar, the phone is completely frozen, no buttons work, the touch pad does not work, it shows 3G top right without the sign of blackberry, there is no service provider name and from time to time the little loading logo clock is displayed.

I pulled the battery a couple of times and the problem persists. I called the service provider to reactivate the new sim card, they did 3 times, same problem. I inserted the SIM in other non-blackberry phones that I have and it works on all phones. When I put my old sim card in the 9700 disabled, the phone start end in 2-3 minutes, 'check' safety bar according to normal, everything moves, just no connection to the service. When I turn on the phone without sim card it starts fine with a message to say out loud the card sim.

I even went down to the assistance service technique blackberry from my service provider and they were no help. all they could say was 'we must wipe your phone and reload the software' that I'm trying to avoid, and I can do it myself anyway.

My phone is unlocked, comes unlocked here in Singapore, I even checked using the method 'MEPD', all disabled.

This was very frustrating, especially when I need my blackberry for work. What is the problem with my phone? How can the simple replacement of a sim card if difficult on a blackberry when there is problem free for ANY other phone I've ever used? I am now fear when I travel abroad for business and requires a foreign sim card.

had the same problem and eventually happeing is that I had to reload my os permeable, and then insert the sim card and upgrade again.

    consusming time, but worth it

  • I ordered a 3 wifi only iPad and they sent me a wifi + 3g by mistake without sim card

I ordered a refurbished iPad 3 wifi only and they sent me a wifi + 3g - mistakenly - without sim card.  This is my first experience with a tablet of any kind and so I have a few questions:

    1. is there a reason I can't return the wifi + 3 g iPad for iPad wifi only?

    2. What is the difference between an iPad only wifi and the other with wifi + 3 g without a sim card?

    3. it would be an advantage to get a SIM for iPad?

    4. what could I do with wifi + iPad 3 g WITHOUT sim card that I can't do with the wifi only?

    Thanks - TP

    1 honesty

2 WiFi + cell phone has GPS receiver and cellular material (obviously) to work with the cellular network.

    3. Yes, but you're dishonest.

    4. you can have internet access while you travel (for example: in your car, on the beach etc, where there is cellular signal coverage)

I understand it's not your fault, but you should always contact the seller and inform them of the error. If they tell you to keep, jump up and down with happiness.

Yes, only bought it for full price directly from Apple.

Buy from anywhere else or under contract with Verizon means that he will probably be locked.

You can activate it without a SIM card. If it is locked, it takes a SIM card by the carrier, for it is locked. The SIM card should not be linked to an active line of service, but it must be present to activate it.
