System clock value

Hi all

I have a frame inside a loop. I do surgery, so I want to wait 200ms from the previous operation. So I take time to system via the number of cycles to work, just after the operation itself. The number of cycles is sent to a shift register. The previous value is subtracted from the new value and the result is subtracted at 200 m, the loop is executed until the total is greater than 100'000 m, I noticed that the loop is executed approximately 1000 times. Why?

If I do not use the number of cycles, but I expect from 200 ms, then the loop is executed about 500 times, which is reasonable.

Can you explain because the number of cycles fails?

Hi Fabio, in your first code the difference in two subsequent readings tick will be on full cycle, either wait + operation.

This introduces a feedback: If a wait lasts about 100 ms, the next beat will read approximately 200 ms later, so the waiting time will be almost null. Later tick read will be 100 ms later, then wait 100 MS and so on.

This behavior is easy to catch if you view the history of all expectations of an indicator array elem.

Your second solution is much better. Just note that the very first wait can be any time from 0 to 200 ms; You can avoid this by putting the wait function before the operation.

    My laptop computer system clock is constantly inaccurate. I have windows 7 on h-Satellite Pro U400 - 13. Whenever I have look at the clock on the taskbar left I see it well before the correct time. I have this laptop for about 18 months, it points to a dead battery, leading to a CMOS failure?

    Selam aleykum,

    Your laptop is still new and the cmos battery should not be dead. I recommend:

    1 leave the laptop charge 48 hours the full cmos battery.
    2. If your system has an always on broadband connection, you can automate the process by changing the interval between updates.
    Open the registry editor by choosing Start-> Run-> Regedit
    Find the key to register HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\
    Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient
    Select the entry for SpecialPollInterval, and change the decimal value to a time you want to use. The data value is in seconds, so, for example, 172800 value will change the synchronization for 2 days interval, a value of 86400 to happen in 1 day or a value of 3600 will change in an hour.
    Exit the registry editor and make sure sync automatically checked for your system clock settings. (Make sure you use Apply when you ve times your changes to the area to set the system clock time, so the change is permanent.)

    Thunderbird uses your computer's clock. There nothing else for reference. I suggest you double check that your clock to the time and time zone. There is no reason to look at the bios to check the computer's clock.

    Are you talking about overclocking the processor? You can do this in some
    systems and not in others, and if you can, how to do it depends on
    What hardware you have. But in my opinion, it's always a very bad.

    The system clock can be reset to the correct time.  But in a few minutes, it fits a moment which is about 11-12 minutes fast.  He keeps so good time to 11-12 minutes fast.  I have reset the clock many, many times.  But always, minutes of adaptation, it's to 11-12 minutes fast.

    How can I get the clock to adapt no?

    Hi xd40c,

    Run your anti-virus program wouldn't hurt. Also check the Web site of your manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of the motherboard to the latest driver for chipset (if available) and the version of the BIOS.

  • How can I check my system ' clock

    Separated from this thread.

    How can I check my system ' clock.    and my CMOS BATTERY?   Help!

    First question: laptop or desktop?

    Desktop computer.  Very easy.  Go down to the store and buy a 2032 button battery.  I buy them in the stores to a dollar when they.  Turn off your computer completely. Remove the power cord.  Hold the button for 7 seconds.  Open the case.  You will see the button battery.  Use some kind of very small eyeglasses screwdriver to remove the battery.  Push the new.

    Restart your computer and press F2 to access the CMOS and set your clock.  The computer may take longer to start because he will have lost all of its original settings and will have to restore them.

    These batteries last about 5 years and then start to fail.   The symptoms are difficult to diagnose.  I have change in my desktops at least every five years.  When I change, I use a felt fine to mark the month and day on it.

    Laptop: not so easy.  It depends on where it is in your computer and how it is difficult to make.  Some of them are under the cover that you lift to access the hard drive or memory.  Others require the partial dismantling of the PC.  Most of them is the same 2032 batteries, but is locked in a plastic cover with the cold of wire soldered to the battery.  The sons have a plug on the end that must hold the plug on your computer. These you can find on Amazon or the OEM.  They won't be cheap.

    Check the clock:  Click once on the clock/calendar at the bottom right. Click on change.  Click the Internet tab.  Click on change settings.  You will find the app that will automatically synchronize your system clock every week.  I use the option of time - b.nist.gov.  Who uses the clock Atomic US Government time labs.

  • How to set system clock?

    Hello

    I am desiging a program LabVIEW which will measure data of an NI USB-6366, make some calculations and then copy the corresponding data.

    For the moment, I'm just doing will vary from data with a sampling rate of 20 kHz. I'm storing the data and the corresponding time (in milliseconds) in a table. I noticed she was taking about 5 to 30 ms to get some values. It is very slow for my project needs (I need a resolution of about 100 microseconds)

    Some info:

    -When you run the code, just all of the CPU resources are used)

    -Fastener is the vi

    -J' use:

    * Trial LabVIEW 2013 (32 bit)

    * Windows 7 Enterprise Edition (SP1) 64-bit

    * Intel Core i5 CPU to 2.40 GHz

    * 4 GB OF RAM

    Is there a way to set a faster system for execution of the program clock?

    Thank you

    I just got a PM from the OP ask for an example.

    In other words, there are two options:

    (a) stick with the DAQ assistant. Wire dynamic data for a graphic indicator directly or use the function "Of DDT" L'Express > range of Manipulation of the Signal. Configure it in order to extract a waveform to keep calendar of data acquisition information.

    (b) preferred recommendation: use the finder of the example to find examples of I, continued and finished. Open them and configure everything to your taste on the front panel and run the example (s). Look if it contains the information you are looking for. If it is like that, study of the code. If not, come back here and describe what functions these examples to your needs.
