System hangs after installation of security.

My Dell computer freezes.
After the installation of Verizon's Internet security suite.
I restarted and was ased by adobe acorbat to install a undate immediately.
I did and rebooted again.
Now when my office is ready, if I hit any key, the system hangs.
Can I restore back a few days in "safe mode" may solve my problem?

Restore point:

http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

See you soon.

  • Portege M400 system hangs after Vista system restore

My system crashed by doing a system restore. Now on startup it gives errors. When I boot from the CD, I go for the choice of the partition to install on and there is no partition, and it has this error:

No hard drive found. Click on load a driver to provide for installing mass storage driver.

I went to Toshiba and Microsoft for help. Or can direct me to the right solution. I can't find my recovery disk. I have just the windows installation disc. Is there an easy fix for this?

    * original title - cannot fine partition on Portege M400 during installation of Windows Vista Business 32 bit.*

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

For any problem, reinstall Vista, contact the manufacturer of your laptop.

Here is the General info on reinstallation of Vista:

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Lightroom CC hangs after installation.

CC app has just installed Lightroom CC. It crashes after installation. Restarted, but I got the same result. I'm on a late 2013 27-inch IMac with a processor I7 of 3.5 Ghz and 24 GB of memory. Anyone know of a fix?

Do not "delete the app", you should now uninstall using the uninstall program in the Lightroom application. After this, the CC Manager should detect it isn't here and offer to reinstall... but before that you have just tried logging of the CC PA, then insert it again, then try to run Lightroom again?

  • Window remains white screen after starting windows screen. the system hangs after Mup.sys on safe mode

The title pretty much everything said.

The problem occurred on a fault that Dell Vostro 2510 with the additional option should only do the downgrade of Win Xp (from Vista).  As noted, on normal startup, the system will remain in a blank screen after the Windows Xp "loading" screen.  And on safe mode, it will join Mup.sys and then hang there.

The closest thing that I got from a web search was a thread in forum saying that the official info from Microsoft was that it was a question of Win Xp/motherboard (http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/31874/?o=40 halfway to a post by Bobb Fwed).  The poster provided no link, so I don't know how official his info was really.

  • System hangs after that make a non-destructive system recovery tools CD via recovery

I have an old hp pavilion model #370n office. I was reading my email on AOL. I received an email, supposedly at the post office, saying: I got an undeliverable package, and he gave me an identification number. When I downloaded the attachment (stupidly!) it was a virus. I don't know what damage has been done, also, I tried to run a full scan of the system using Microsoft Security essentials. Stop scanning during the process, and messages came to to talk me about viruses, I had, and I had to buy this antivirus program! Well, I knew it was a scam, so I shut down the computer and decided that I had to do a system recovery.

I inserted the CD of recovery tools, ran recovery and was informed the finished collection! So, I removed the CD, allowing the program to start. However, it would not start, because I got a message on SETUP. Res. With the message; Failed to install C:\hp\bin\SetRes.log. then, I pressed OK and I got the hourglass occupied, but nothing happens! The system just stops! Can someone help me solve this problem? Because I am unable to use the desktop, unless I can get this resolved. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

Method 1: Perform a parallel Installation:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/978307

Please click on the above link and follow the steps in the "method 4: install Windows XP to a new folder (parallel installation).

Note: This could result in a loss of data on your computer; It is recommended that you back up all important data on the computer before performing this operation.

Method 2: Please contact hp support as recovery disks provided by them. They would have the best idea to read the log file (C:\hp\bin\SetRes.log) of the failure and get it recovered. You can also ask them to restore your system to factory settings.

  • Vista SP2 enterprise. Updates to Windows from 11 August caused the system hang after starting.

Œuvres of mouse pointer, but the catch systems when I click on any element of the bar of tasks or office. OK works in safe mode. System Restore to a date before the updates does not help. I've eliminated all unnecessary programs in menu start, including NVIDIA drivers, but the problem persists.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

    Hi Mathew and Imran;

Thank you.  After several reboots, add and remove services, I believe a solution to the problem.   It seems that McAfee Total Protection disliked among updates August 11... or the update did not like 'total Protection '.

After much frustration, I removed any trace of McAfee, first using windows uninstaller, then running the downloaded program to uninstall McAfee. I then installed Microsoft Security Essentials and downloaded and re-installed McAfee Site Advisor.

I don't think I have the same level of protection as I had before, but the system is faster and I think that I have an adequate level of security.  I'll leave it as it is for now.

I don't want this post as a blow against McAfee, they are an industry leader in computer security and 'Total Protection' provided exactly that.  We have a second PC in our House... material of identical office however, but under Vista Home Premium, whereas this one is running Vista Business.  Home Premium system runs 'Total Protection' and has not experienced the same problem, as the system of the company.  What's up mind dat?  It runs more slowly, probably because of McAfee files analysis procedures.

If Security Essentials works well in the coming months on this system, I can install it on the other system, as well as on my laptop.  In more than 10 years (from Windows 98 to Vista), we always used McAfee products and have NEVER had a viral infection.  Is it because of MCafee or our own due diligence?  Assume that this is not serious.

Thanks again for your help.  You got me on the right track!  Best regards... TeeDubTW

  • Portege M800 - the system hangs after connecting to fingerprint

I just got my Portege M800 weeks ago and frankly speaking, this model has been giving me a lot of trouble. Earlier, it's heat problem in the palm rest and there is no solution for it.

Now I am facing another problem with the connection of fingerprints. I'm running on Windows XP. I put the system must be locked after 5 minutes of inactivity. So normally after 5 minutes of inactivity, the system will have to be me to scan my fingerprint to open the windows. But there are moments which, after analysis of my fingerprints and put in correspondence with success, the screen will be just white (only show the desktop wallpaper). Not the desktop icons, no taskbar windows and nothing. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up nothing and no answer even not a button. I tried to put the system to Hibernate by press the power button once as no response.

So I have to finally press and hold the power button to reset the laptop.

No matter which can help or give any idea of what was going on? Thank you!

    Hello

I believe that these issues are in the past fixed with the new version of the fingerprint reader. Have you tried to install the latest version or you already have?

  • System hangs after installing drivers of AMD Radeon X 1400

Original title: amd radeon x 1400

Can anyone help with an update from XP to Win 7 for AMD Radeon X 1400. The laptop is a Fujitsu Lifebook N series N, 6410. Centrino Duo. I've updated for Win 7 IE 11. the system works well except the AMD video driver, when I load and install the system falls down and then I have to restore the previous setting. Any suggestions?

    Hello

The possible cause of the crash of the system after you have installed the AMD drivers could be due in compatible video card drivers.

AMD has published no compatible drivers Windows 7 for ATI Mobility Radeon X 1400. Only, they released the compatible driver for this Windows XP video card operation.

However, I suggest you try to download the compatible drivers XP window for the site Web of Fujitsu's ATI Mobility Radeon X 1400 graphics card and install them in compatibility mode.

Link to download ATI Mobility Radeon X 1400 of the Web of Fujitsu site:

    Hi Andre,

Try disabling the AMD card from Device Manager > display adapters and check if it works.

    Also, go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

Try to rename amdocl64.dll to old_amdocl64.dll and check that it works.
