  I have an IBM T30 2366-85U. I can't run at full speed during the use of current alternative. It comes down to 1 .2GHz any options choose in bios or power options in Control Panel. Under windows XP.

  Someone has ideas of how to do to solve this problem?

• Drained battery T30 denies charges

  Hi everyone, shows the first time here.

  I use a race T30 2366 XP SP3 have run into a problem with the battery. In a near stupor, instead of the machine properly to stop a few nights ago, I simply closed the lid which turns the computer on Stand by, as opposed to the hibernation. I hid it in a pouch for the night, believing it had turned off.

  The next morning, I woke to the computer at a 0% battery indication and an orange flashing, charge light. Since then, I could not charge the battery. I tried to load with the lid open/close and computer power. When it is off, I could get a solid charge for three or four minutes maximum light, then the battery flashing light again. The best I could do is to put the battery in 3% to plug and unplug the power for the few minutes adapter that claims to be the battery several times. This computer is a recent hand for travel, I have no diagnostic ability or experience with it.

  All advice on diagnosis and next steps will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  Chances are that you will need a new battery. T30 is ten years and the battery is probably not much younger...

• RAM has worked in a T30 but not another

  I have 2 sticks of 1 GB of RAM: DDR 333, FDMHGO - 04032T

  This RAM worked well in a portable T30 2366-85U

  I put the same RAM in a laptop of 2366-KU1 T30 and it does not - in a memory slot. The BIOS is 1IET71WW (2.10) 16/06/2006, which I think is the latest BIOS for this laptop. 2366-85U cell phone no longer works, I dropped something on the keyboard and who killed the laptop, so I can't check for the version of the BIOS.

  Is there something I can do to get two sticks of 1 GB of RAM in the laptop 2366-KU1?

  You are not sure if the RAM may be damaged, but could it have been damaged when the other laptop is dead?

  The contacts on the RAM were dirty. I cleaned the with an eraser and the T30 see now the 2 GB of RAM.

  I realize it's a very old laptop but it still works to this day and I use it every day.

  I've been a bit online and I found that there is a design with the motherboard fault. More precisely the location of the hard drive and RAM above the other causes a lot of heat build-up to this place. IBM (now Lenovo) offered a repair or replacement of the laptop for a few years I know. My question is Lenovo continues to do this or not? I got this laptop a month ago and a half, so I have not long. Unfortunately I have no money to even pay for the repair and even less to ship for repair. Is there something I can look at?

  It's been years since the replacement program of the Board of Directors on T30 units had ended.

  Your best bet is to install a single 1 GB DIMM in the 'healthy' location and use the machine like this if one of the RAM slots failed.

  I have a T30 type 2366-85U. I downloaded a PDF service manual and looked at the list of parts. When I look on e - bay for a part for a T30, some of the FRN numbers do not match what in my manual.

  How will I know if the part is for my model?

  All palmrests (or bevels on keyboard, if you want to), are the same for the T30 series, the only difference is whether or not they have the touchpad.

  Recently, I replaced the router in my system to get an upgrade security from WEP to WPA. My question is there a functional nic 802.11 g to replace a 'b' in a T30?

  I tried to use different cards and cannot get past the bios in a startup sequence, as the message tells me this invalid device and remove it. I took out my card Wireless 'g' of my T43p (FRU 27K 9933) installed in the T30 and got the same message.

  The unit that I work with is a T30 2367 AU5 with a motherboard 91 p 7689. The T30 was originally a 81U 2366, with an unknown Mo because he had a 2.0 gig. Processor. Map of cassis 'b' wireless is a FRU Cisco 26 8522.

  Hello. Some of the keys on my T30 keyboard have stopped working completely, the keys are 4, 5, r, t, f, g, v, b. If a quick glance at the keyboard, the keys are just below the other, perhaps giving a hint to someone who knows, keyboards, what could be the problem. So now my question is: is it worth to spend money on a new keyboard or the problem maybe elsewhere? Any suggestions what to do? Thank you.

  If you like your T30 I give it a shot and get a replacement, good keyboard tested a used can be pretty cheap on eBay.

  My father put in place a new wireless network, but the laptop will not connect to the new network. The strange thing is that the new wireless network works fine on other computers in my house. I need a way to solve this problem, which does not buy a new laptop.

  Hi every one out there, I'm among the less still using the Thinkpad T30 and need a recovery software that contains most of the drivers. I made the mistake to have inexperienced hands to install Windows 2000 Pro and as you well know without the recovery disk disaster occurred, and so now several drivers are not installed such as audio, video, ethernet, and a bunch more, is there hope?

  All the drivers are ok and have only a problem of dvd decoder and dvd rom won't play, but that's the least of our problems, thank you.
