T400s camera stopped working after about 2 weeks

Got a new T400s, well worked out of the box.

After about 2 weeks, do not use the camera (of course, I checked, it works when I install everything first) the camera no longer works.

He appears in the Manager of devices, but Skype and other software just to see a black image. The LED on the side, which according to me, shines green when the unit is supposed to be consulted running is no longer.

Installation of the driver and going back in time (recovery point) makes no difference.

I really want to reformat the drive, there are a ton of my files on it...

I contacted local support and they wanted me to come and check the camera themselves.

In preparation, I removed the extra 1 GB of memory (3 GB total) I had installed and tried again just before departing for their labs.

Guess what, that fixed it for me!

It seems that this model has serious problems with asymmetric memory facilities. I installed a 2 GB module and some of the other problems plaguing this unit had disappeared too (VT - D causing disruption of the screen and also occasional freezes).

    How did you notice this problem? You get an error message or something else?

    It's really hard to say why this happens, but first I would try to update the driver for the webcam. You can get the latest version on the Toshiba site:

    Problem: USB Motion Eye Camera stop working
    OS: Vista Edition Home Premium

    The Sony Visual Communication Camera died in this laptop. I want to talk about the "Motion Eye" webcam above the screen.

    In the Arcsoft window, frame (window of the camera) went black, screen resolution went to 176 x 144 (QCIF), whatever that means.
    In addition, no image using Windows Live Messenger.

    Worked very well (image capture), then quit. Removed and reinstalled the drivers. No help. In the properties of the device, he says: "this device works correctly. Well maybe, but no picture.

    What else can I do to fix this?

    I can't stand Vista another day. I ordered Windows 7. I hope that its an improvement. Could install Windows 7 remedy? I guess I'll find out.

    No help from this Forum, but I got the Motion Eye Cam working again. He would sometimes work for a minute or two and then quit. I thought it would be connected USB so I downloaded the registry USB patch (and a whole bunch of other updates and more) and installed it. After the patch USB Webcam has started working again. I don't know if it was the fix, but its working now. The Vaio "Updater" program did not work (it should be updated as well) so I had no idea there were so much software upgrades available for this laptop. I highly suggest that you check the Sony Web site for downloads (if you did not) available for your computer. Good luck.

    Try different helmet "well known." If those who still fail in your device (but work well in another device), then the deduction becomes one of the devices, which of course we cannot do something internet remotely.     I have a Motorola SM56 speakerphone modem, I went from dial-up to the Road Runner.   When I open Device Manager and expand the sound column it lists "High definition Audio Device" (manufacturer of Microsoft), there are 4 that say "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" then there is one that says "Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device.  When I open the properties of the Unimodem device it says ' device working properly. "

    Let me start at the top under "General".  It lists the name of the device: Unimodem half-duplex Audio device.    Device type: audio, video and game controllers;    Manufacturer: Microsoft;    Location: Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem.

    My speakers worked very well before I went.   I tried updating the driver but he came back with "best driver already installed.  It is a desktop PC, it is about 6 years old, but has been revised, graphics card new, updated to power, new 4 GB ram I think.  The hard drive is 1 TB.   I'm running Windows 7 Pro.  I forgot to mention, if I open a WMV file and volume in the taskbar commands, I see the green light moving.  The green light on the actual speakers turned on, just no sound.  It seems to me that the old speakers do not like the new modem from Time Warner. (I'm an old lady, what the devil I know)

    It is a question of another driver, or is it something else?

    Are plug you the speakers into the modem?

    They must be connected in making your computer speaker, usually a light green color (read the manual of the machine). Go to control panel / sounds / playback and make sure that the type of speakers you selected as the default device.
    Audio device drivers updated its better to not use MS Update (it is not). Re-post giving your machine make name and exact model number (for example HP, Inspiron, ABC1234 etc.).

    I have a protected Z10A and the touchpad and keyboard intermittiently stops working after the mode 'sleep'. I can't wake up, or restart without re-booting.

    I did the update to the keyboard firmware docker as advised in a thread on January 2014, but this did not help the problem.
    This computer is 2 weeks.

    I was download site and updated all the drivers and updates.
    The computer works perfectly except for this problem.

    When the Tablet is in standby, the white led flashes, and it is when everything works fine, but if the light for some reason any does not Flash but still turned on, then it will not start and I have to restart the tablet.

    I have disabled hibernation in the options mode, but still no help.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I m wondering if the option (in BIOS) called Wake-Up on the keyboard is turned on.
    To restore the functioning of the computer from sleep mode, press the power button or any key on the dock of the keyboard for a short period of time. But the keys on the keyboard can be used if the option is enabled.

    Note: when the laptop is in Sleep Mode, the power indicator of will blink white. If the light flashes white, the computer laptop isn t set mode sleep!

  • Image fails after about 1 week to install

    We have a problem where our Windows 8.1 image not settled after about 1 week.  We can cut out an image with ImageAssist and it works fine.  We install and test it on several models with no problems.  After about 1 week it start to fail with a blue screen, screens black, or is totally insensitive after the image is applied and the system is restarted.

    Note:

    We are able to create a stable image that lasts longer than a week, but we don't know why some work and others fail.  It's very frustrating and adds an additional week to our process which we do not like.

    Someone has seen this before, or someone has a solution?

    We saw only one instance reported of the symptom that you are experiencing.  It is resolved by the resolution referred to in this message 'restoration of images 64-bit issues'.  If your W8.1 image is 64-bit, and your USB has not created with the /secureboot switch, maybe that's the problem.

    As an aside, in our next version of ImageAssist - the process of creation of USB drive is no longer produced a 32-bit version by default, instead it will automatically create the corresponding version of the operating system detected at the time of production.

  • Audio stopped working after update

    I have a T5010 e-machines running Windows 7 Pro, x 64 with 2 GB of RAM.  The audio has stopped working after a few updates.  Don't know which because he has many people who installed at the same time.

    I tried to uninstall the audio driver then reinstall.  I tried the shooters to boredom.

    In Device Manager the drive is recognized, but the question mark yellow and says that the device does not start and he has (code 10).    When I start the computer, I get a message that does not start the Realtek audio.

    Thanks for those tips, I've considered that everything that had happened in the last weeks and remembered that my mouse was the first to show signs of problems when the red light on the bottom went dark and brilliant then a few times.

    I swapped the front mouse with a type Wireless and it seems not however solve the problem since replacing it with a different mouse to lead the problem disappeared. In my view, that the old mouse has a hardware problem that shorted supplies USB causing both mouse and keyboard stop working.

    allowed for a few days, so I guess that was the problem.

  • Audio stops playing after about 30 seconds, the continuous video

    I created a movie with music.  During the preview, the video and the audio works fine.  The problem is when I watch the video on my pc, the sound stops playing after about 30 seconds and the video continues.  When I reset to that point the audio begins again, then stops shortly after and the video still continues.  It is a mpeg format and played on the windows media player 11.  What is the problem with the audio?  Looking for solutions to this problem.

    Thanks people for your suggestions and advice.  I had the sound to play.  I did change the audio settings for dolby to mpeg and that makes the difference.
