T410 recommended AC adapter / CC

Hello, I got a new laptop of company TYPE T410 2537 - 24 G S/N xxxxxxx 10/08. It was delivered with a 65 Watt adapter and when I start it connected to the adapter (battery or not) indicates that the adapter does not supply enough power and therefore the performance of the system are reduced and battery charge time may be increased. He asks me to confirm, otherwise, it will not start. I have a processor Intel I5 M540 CPU and battery extended on it. It has a disc hard solid state and I think that graphics memory is embedded not discreet. The site says it is a power of 65 watts power when graphic on board and 90 watts when bistritei. But why the alert come on Start menu BACK and tell me that the 65 Watt power supply is insufficient? It would be beneficial for me to get a 90 Watt one? Could the 90 Watt do no damage to the laptop? Our IT support cannot help me, maybe you can a lot. Thanks for your support, your answers impatiently. Ralf

Ralf, welcome to the forum,

I would check with your Admin company, the system of discrete graphics and should therefore have power supply 90W.

Hi, I would like to be able to connect a standard USB to my iPhone, so it can read a text file from USB, any suggestions on cable/apps? Thank you, Tony

Hello. In fact, you can use any USB adapter to connect your iPhone to the computer and transfer text files. Apple recommends the adapter like this http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD820AM/A/lightning-to-micro-usb-adapter

And then, what size is the USB?

USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 are the same size and are backward compatible.

USB 3.0 ports are blue or have at least the symbol (super speed)

  • Satellite M40-184 and noise problem

I bought two days ago, this laptop and I already found two problems. The first is that always before the speakers seem to start working a strange noise (ICT) and it is very annoying for me. Is there a problem with the speakers.

The second problem is that when I use the laptop for more than two hours the AC adapter also makes a very annoying noise. He is also very strong (more strong that fans or anything else). Is it normal to do what noise?

    Thank you

    Hi Manos,

I'm not sure of the sound from your speakers, normally I wait till they're totally calm, unless a job is running that use.

Regarding your power adapter, should make any noise at all. It can become hot for what is quite normal. I would recommend the adapter/notebook back to your provider as soon as possible.

    Thank you

Not in the way you probably do. Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See Page 50. Unlike the Envy 17 and Pavilion dv7, Pavilion 17 has that a single hard drive Bay. The only way to add a second hard drive is to remove the DVD (optical drive) and insert a DVD to the hard drive bay adapter. The manual shows how to remove the DVD player and you can buy the adapter at amazon.com or jacobsparts.com. Note that this is a 9.5 mm thick disc, not a 12.7 mm. Both types are available. I do not recommend the adapter DVD player solution because you lose the use of the optical drive, and also because the interface of optical drive is usually not as fast as the main hard drive interface. Always fast enough for simple storage and you can run a video of her, but you do not want to edit the video of this disc, for example.

    https://www.jacobsparts.com/items/HDDBAY-02/

If you decide to go the route of adapter DVD I would buy a large capacity 5400 RPM SATA 2.5 inches wide and drive hard thickness 9.5 mm. No sense in buying a reader more expensive high-performance.

  • [FlexRIO] Is it possible to define two modules e/s for my FlexRIO

    Hi all

I developed an application to perform a test on a digital ASIC business and have a number of PXI chassis each with an installed FlexRIO. I have two flavors of DIO FAM the NI6581 & the OID NI6583. I want to write the code LV FPGA so that the application can use either FAM that it is mounted on the FlexRIO. Is it possible to set both FAMS IO in the LV FPGA project and the code detect what FAM is mounted and from there select the e/s to use?

    Thank you

    Nick

    Nick,

While you could not define 2 FAMs under a single FPGA target in the project, you can do the following:

    1. create two targets FPGA, one for each Module IO

    2. write two screws FPGA separate, one for each Module IO

    3 compile the two bitfiles

    4. write a VI host that uses the host FlexRIO screw interface to check which adaptor module is attached.

    5. deploy the appropriate bitfile depending on which adapter module is attached.

Keep in mind, we do not recommend the adaptation modules FlexRIO hot spare so that you wish to power your system every time you had to adapt modules.

    I hope this helps!

  • RX 480 / GTX 970 non - PC Alienware x 51 R1? :) < 3

    Thanks in advance...

now... Then my R1 Alienware X 51 manage either a GTX 970 (current consumption? / it fits, found a beeing 9.5 inches) or the work of RX 480? ATM I use a GTX 960 4 GB ("draw" power 120W) and before this, I was using a GTX 660 (140W power draw, I even OC it by far: D)... and the GTX 970 would use 145 W max says NViDIA. ... If someone could help me with this? The RX 480 and GTX 970 would cost me the same. The two match. But wise, I'm not sure at 100% power. :)

    Hello

The RX 480 will require less energy. On this model, we have 2 types of power supply (240W and 330W), so the RX 480 will work with the 240W, but with the GTX 970 we recommend 330W adapter.

  • Integration of SAP with ERPI overview

    Hello

I've done the integration of hyperion with EBS. Here are the basic steps I've done.

    1. install ERPI.

2 - has given the Apps schema and initialized.

3 - Select the general ledgers.

    4. define mappings according to EBS.

    5 create the rule.

6 import data from BSE-> hyperion.

    My questions are,

1 - How to achieve this in SAP?

2 - steps are almost the same? or different?

    3. how the participation of functional person is necessary?

    4. how knowledge of SAP is necessary?

    5. how many types of cards is there for the integration of the EPRI-SAP?

6 it is recommended by oracle?

7 - What other ways I have move given sap in hyperion? can I use informatica?

    Concerning

    What is ERPI or FDMEE?

    (1) integration SAP is documented in the FDMEE Administrator's guide and the Guide of the adapter you can download from the site of bristlecone pines

    (2) integration SAP is completely different. It has different configuration of the side steps ODI. There are also some spots on the side AS creating a user for ODI (JCo connection)

    (3) the FDMEE-SAP adapter configuration is usually performed by a technician because it requires some knowledge of ODI. A functional person would act as soon as the adapter is configured so that it can configure FDMEE with respect to any other source

    (4) generally the core SAP team will configure SAP as required for integration and you don't need really SAP kwnoledge

    5) there are 6 predefined maps (documented in the Administrator's guide). That's FDMEE, to ERPI you will need to go to the latest patch for the 6 I guess

    (6) oracle cannot recommend an adapter because it depends on what you are going to integrate. If you want NEW GL balances, then use the NEWGL adapter.

    (7) Informatica does not hyperion support > = 11.1.2.3 I guess that if you would be able to use it, but you'll have to customize adapter for Hyperion, if you have the version 11.1.2.3 +. This can be done using APIs (for example: HFM API)

If you are in the previous version you can use but I recommend not to use because it is not supported.

Another option would be to use autonomous ODI that uses the same approach as adapter FDMEE-SAP from the technical point of view. In deed the SAP-FDMEE adapter uses the KMs ODI - SAP

  • What happens in terms of performance, if I didn't install VMware tools on linux with NIC defined as VXNET3

    Hi Experts,

I would like to understand the following:

Currently, I have a server with 10 G interfaces (u1, ESXi 5.5) and I installed SUSE linux as a virtual machine with adapter NIC VXNET3, but I don't want to install VMware tools. According to the article, VMtools are needed for VXNET3

VMware KB: Choose one network adapter for your virtual machine

So my question is: what happens to the performance of the network on this machine? (Saw that it basically works but not sure of the performance).

Another question: in which case we have a virtual machine, but we do not want to install VMtools on it, which is recommended for this virtual machine NIC adapter?

    Thank you

    ekhmahg

so my question is, what is the performance impact of not installing the VMtools when using VXNIC?

None. Even if you have installed VMware tools, your BONES would still use the supplied kernel vmxnet3 module unless force you the installation of the VMware Tools (-clobber-kernel-modules = vmxnet3).

Overwrite the supplied OS module is not recommended and besides if you're updating your kernel on a regular basis, you'll probably a newer version or at least the version module even as provided by the VMware tools (unless you keep bleeding edge with your updates of ESXi).

the second question: If we do not want to install VMtools at all, what is the best recommended NIC adapter?

vmxnet3. As you do not need to install the VMware Tools since the kernel module is provided by every modern Linux already.

  • T410 flange and build in 3G adapter

    Hi guys,.

I need to remove my camera from my T410. After removal, the collar still give the impression that there the camera. I need to buy a collar that does not have the location of the camera.

and also I would need an adapter 3G integrated to T410 as well for the 3G connection.

    T410 supports these 2 items?

    Thanks for all info given.

    @henrykay,

The collar is the same, there will be a 'hole' it for the camera even if you were to get a version of camera not for your T410. The only difference is that it looks like a thing of coverage to replace the location of the camera.
