T410 screen-wash on Wake

I wondered about a problem I had with... sometimes when the computer wakes mode standby (on battery only) the colors of the screen become very washed out, but eventually subside to normal. It is a normal phenomenon with the T410 display, or is this something I should be concerned? Otherwise, the T410 seems to be a computer very solid.

Never mind, I fixed my problem, it's normal: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T410-unstable-screen-brightness/td-p/212150

  • T410s - screen Auto-Dims the display content-based?

This is a really weird thing... never seen a behavior in a LCD screen like this before.

I noticed that the screen very slowly descends the brightness of the backlight, and almost don't notice you at first, when the low contrast images are displayed on most of the screen.

I first noticed while browsing, but the best way to reproduce the problem is to open two copies of painting, maximize their and make the size of the image fills the screen.  Let one of them is all white and fill another with all gray.  Adjust the brightness of your screen up.  Now alt - tab between the two copies of painting every 10 seconds.

What I see is that when I leave the gray image on the screen for a few seconds, you can see the brightness of the backlight begin to decline in about 10 discrete steps, more than 3 seconds.  When you switch to the image in white you end up with a dark looking screen, and then you can see as the brightness of the backlight itself upward during the few seconds of couple.

You will notice the effect more with less ambient light, or by the dos commands and gauge the total luminous power of the monitor in a room dark.

To be clear, I'm not saying that an image is smaller than the other.  I mean if leave you it on the gray screen for a few seconds and then switch back to the white screen, * after * switch you back, on the next 5 seconds, you will see the total display increasing brightness.

Sorry for the long explanation, but... I see it?  Or is it some lost 'improving contrast newness' of the LCD?  I'd really like to hear your experience.

    Thank you

When an alert is delivered in the screen used to come awake for I can quickly look and see if I need to take further measures. Now this is no longer the case (post updated to iOS 10).

I contacted Apple Support via Chat, but has been disconnected mi cat and could not reconnect. I reset all the settings and re-setup of all parameters. Same behavior, alerts come through its just that no more wake on receipt of these alerts (from any application) of the screen. DND is not lit.

Any thoughts? My next step will be to become a complete set of backup and wipe and restore. Don't know how else to proceed.

  • Satellite Pro A60 PSA65E black screen when you wake up from stand-by

I have a laptop computer (PSA65E) A60 and I am really slow recently so I decided to reinstall windows XP.

I didn't have the CD that came with the laptop, so I don't know if it was an installation CD or recovery CD.

But I installed WinXP home with SP3 slipstreamed in him with a folder for all the drivers. I installed without any problem and installed the drivers for the wifi, display etc.
And yes it has been activated via windows until someone asks.

In any case when I closed the lid and exploited later I couldn't have the laptop to wake up.

Well it is but with a white screen, the fans start up and I get all the flashing lights on the front, but no display. I had the mouse pointer once but nothing else.

I read a lot of forum posts here on all sorts of ways to fix, but I can't get an any of them to work. Tried to get new drivers, got all of the updates from windows update and the bios is the most recent.

Any ideas on what is happening here, because it is really annoying me.

    Thank you Will

To be clear. The notebooks are actually not SP3 supported and if you want to have good work use OS support Windows XP SP2 home edition.

I know what you're probably thinking now but all offered tools and utilities are obviously not designed and tested with SP3.
It is a pity that you n t have Toshiba recovery CD. With the original recovery image, it should work correctly.
Usually these problems are solved with the updates to the BIOS, but if you have a last I really t know what you can try to fix it.

As you can see it is very often problematic to use latest updates on older models of laptop.

  • Tecra A9: Screen to not wake up

I installed Windows 7 on my Tecra A9.

After a few minutes of inactivity, the energy Manager is the screen off.
When I turn the mouse to turn it on again it often happens that the screen remains black.

But Windows did not crash because I see that the hard drive still works.

Device Manager does not display the device problems.
The graphics driver is the latest in Intel.

    What say about it?

Win7 is still not released official and what you use is the BETA version. Toshiba don't offer any proven tools or utilities such as Toshiba power saver for the moment so I assume you are using OS nudes.
Solutions for these questions can be offered at the start of official support.
For the time being, you can use Win7 with some BETA drivers but note that these drivers, tools and utilities are not tested.

You can, but until you get the new driver and install it, you don't have to.  A new write more old.

For the future to uninstall a driver, you go into the Device Manager.

Start > Search > type Device Manager > click on the device you want to the right of the update (in this case audio devices) click > uninstall.

  • Distinction between full-screen and wake up

My application needs to do substantive things when it was thumbnailed and the user returns to him.

To do this, I logged signal full screen:

However, this signal appears to be called every time the black screen and I "wake up" the unit.

What happens much more frequently, an idea how I could discern these events?

    GOD wrote:

to me, this seems to be a reduced calling bug and fullscreen awake and asleep

At least that's my understanding of the description of signal.

    I've found a workaround:

I use onProcessStateChanged and save the last State. If the new State is 1 (foreground) and the last State 2 (context) I start my treatment. When the screen will dim the app goes to State 3 (stop), so I can discern between them.

I'll also post a bug report on onThumbnail/onFullScreen signals.

  • T510i screen suddenly darkens & increases the gamma

From time to time, the screen suddenly fades, and the gamma increases.

This has nothing to do with the brightness settings, since they remain the same (and indeed, increase the brightness still works, but the brightness (maximum) overal remains lowered).

I think that this only happens when you run out of battery, so it might be a power issue.

I have this problem since the beginning (about three months).

But this week, the battery also does not. Maybe there's a fault in the power supply?

Someone has encountered this problem before?

    Thanks for any help!

  • The display brightness is automatically defined by content screen brightness?

Additional for my other problem with the brightness of the screen I also have this question:

Battery operation, it seems that the display brightness is automatically adjusted by the lightness of the contents of the screen.

For example if I start a program with a dark background display becomes a little darker. On the other hand, a lighter background makes the screen a little clearer. It is not strong like a tap on F7 or F8 - just a little bit.

Of course, this is a nice feature. But for me who use many applications as it is a bit annoying.

Can someone give me a tip where I can disable this feature? Found nothing in the settings of the energy.

  • Apple Watch after upgrade to watch OS 3 - flashing screen after update

    Apple Watch 42 mm

I recently like millions out there I've updated my Apple Watch to watch OS 3. Today noon 15/09/2016, I noticed that when I raised my hand/wrist to wake up screen Apple Watch it flickered once. I did this action several times to confirm that I clearly understand what was going on. I started to solve the problem, powered off/on power the Apple Watch. Issue continues. I did a reset on the Apple Watch hold the button of the Crown and the power at the same time until the powers of the device and restart. This action eliminates the problem. Apple Watch works as expected, screen flicker stopped when hand/wrist is triggered and screen Apple Watch wakes up to the top. Unfortunately, after some time between 2 and 3 hours of new screen flickering starts. I did some digging online but have not encountered this problem. I realize that the watch OS 3 has only been published days before so I wasn't expecting to fall on part.

My question: is this a known problem that will be patched with an upcoming release or I'm the first to report this problem? Any information would be much appreciate.

It is too early to know if it would be regarded as a known issue. This is not the case on my Apple Watch after the update.

See if a matching and re pairing your watch makes a difference.

  • Monitor wakes up while mac is asleep.

I have a 27-inch iMac (end of 2012), I am connected to an external monitor Lg 2955um-p (29-inch Ultra wide) its connected Via a lightning strike to display the port. So here's the question. When I put the mac to sleep, the Mac and the external monitor turn off as "normal". Then after a few seconds, the external display turns, then falls asleep. This trend continues until I have power or unplug the external monitor. The search for this problem, all I could find was examples of screens do not wake up.

  • MBP frequently freezes / crashes on wake

I have a MBP 2012 Middle I got in 2013 and have had problems with since day 1. I narrowed down it to / Standby failure (details below), but I have no idea how fix or solve this. Any help would be appreciated. I apologize if I have provided too much information, didn't waste time everyone, asking for things that I should have mentioned!

H/w: MBP with 8 GB of RAM, USB hub with Mac keyboard, external HD (usually disabled), Time machine (usually disabled) disk and load cables for 2 iPhones attached. Apple bluetooth mouse. Sometimes I plug devices directly in the USB ports (instead of the hub).

I take the computer to the Apple store 9 times since I got it. The second or third time (which was a few days after I got it) they replaced with a brand new, however that has not fixed the problem. They have made of the material tests and tests on it for the night and find nothing wrong with the hardware, which leads me to believe it's a software problem. The software that I use most often is Dropbox, Chrome, Coda 2 and Pathfinder, with various other things like Word and Excel from time to time.

Here are some of the problems I had, which seem to occur in wake or shortly after waking from sleep

    • USB ports do not work (frequently - sometimes set by putting the computer to sleep, usually can only be fixed by rebooting)
    • Screen freezes on wake (infrequent - sleep sometimes allows the screen to work again for a minute, then it freezes once again)
    • Slow to wake up (quite frequent - may last from 30 seconds to 2 minutes to wake up once opened)
    • Hangs on the sleep/wake (rare - when open or closed nothing happens, and then after restarting the system about 30 seconds)
    • Various other (all text files have been read that after the awakening, trackpad, listed as "not connected" after waking up, lost the ability to make windows to the front, the points will not force exit, reboot has not etc..)

I did a lot of reading on this and that you have not found a good solution. Here are a few things I tried

    • Reinstall OS X (I did probably 6 times since I got the computer, it doesn't seem to help)
    • Repair disk permissions.
    • Updated to OS X (I think I initially was Mountain Lion, now have el Capitan and the problems have persisted through all versions)
    • Reset the PRAM/CMS (I think that PRAM may be an old term, but I've tried both anyway)
    • Antivirus deleted and a few other programs I didn't need more

Accidents/gels don't happen all the time (last was 2/18), but they are often enough to be annoying. For the last one, I saw it in the newspaper. I think he can relate to Google Sync, which I've since turned it off. I have not had another accident since then, but it's only 4 days.

  • Qosmio X 500-058: no recovery after plugging screen down when the HDMI port is used

When I connect my new Qosimo X 500 - 058 to monitor external (with the help of an HDMI to DVI converter cable), everything works well until the power of Windows application options off the monitor.

Once this has happened, the screens don't wake up and stays black.
The PC were not crushed, and if you press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, you get the normal menu options.

But if you press Cancel, or lock, and then enter the password, the screens go black again.
This problem does not occur if I remove the HDMI cable and use only the laptop screen.

I found that if you select the option change user after pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del monitors come back to life after a lot of glitter, if at least I don't have to re-boot each time. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I trouble shoot this?

    Cheers, Alun

    Hello alum

Have never heard about this but anything is possible. It will be interesting to see if the same problem persists without DVI converter cable.

When this happens can you use FN + F5 key combination to turn on the transparent back of laptop?
