  • directions to clean install MacOS Sierra

I'll install MacOS Sierra like many of you, but I won't update or upgrade, I want to do a 'Clean Install' on my iMac to the retina. There are several small, painful on ranging from the questions that no ONE at Apple was able to help with. I'm sped to start again and I hope after a month or two AFTER Sierra is released and immediate bugs will be crushed and then I can make the trip. Since Sierra is a new file system, I hope that everything will be good in the rim. This way my two hundred concerts (or almost) of music plays without hiccup and my huge photo library will play too nice!

There are several "how to" out in WEB land, but honestly, each of them is a little confusing. I do not understand why Apple insists on not to put an accurate Concise Guide, step by step. My burlap as 1st Sergeant used to explain in the body when something needed to explain. We said, ' Let explain me it like Barney. Referring to Barney Fife. In other words, super easy. I was going to buy an eBook take control books Scholle McFarland. I wonder what any of you think of the great guru?

Yes I use Time Machine. Yes, I have backed up Photos and iTunes separately. I'll do the same thing to my documents and email (not sure one).

    Appreciate some guidance.

At the present time it is difficult to say why this is happening but you have verified Windows power management? Here, you can disable or enable the WLAN Card power saving feature and it should be disabled.

  • ForecastFox does not appear on a clean install of FF5 with active addon-bar and bar state-4-Eva installed.

Newly formatted PC, Windows Vista. I did an installation of FF5, pulled down as the default download on the Mozilla site. Installed forecast Fox, did not show. Turned on the toolbar of the add-on, it now shows icons FireBug and anti-ad, but no ForecastFox. I installed the toolbar state-4-Eva, changed icons alignment right, but still no ForecastFox

What stupid way of doing things in this extension! I've been using Firefox since 2002, have used or tried hundreds of different extensions, and it took me almost 10 minutes to understand how it works.
No help here - http://www.getforecastfox.com/ - and the image is for a Mac, which is like what, 5% of the Firefox user "market."
And their 'support' - Questions? Need help? - http://groups.google.com/group/forecastfox-users/ - shown on the download page, has very little 'answers', especially a bunch of questions from lost users.

ForecastFox display is on the Menu bar, which is hidden by default in Firefox 4.0 and later versions on free software most, with the exception of WinXP - but it must appear when the customization mode is open, they are the tabs on top is selected or not. (I have no idea why it does not appear in your screenshot). You can also see if you press the Alt key, you must open view > toolbars and click on the menu bar to have it open all the time.

More there is no instructions on how to configure and use this extension and is not easily detectable - they should use a 'premiere' page on the Options page of forecastfox with some kind of instructions and screenshots for all operating systems.

http://www.getforecastfox.com/customize/16/ - to change the Options, such as adding a 'place', change 'units', etc. And the 'button' to 'customize' or move the screen only appears when this page is loaded in Firefox, even in a tab that is not displayed! (And that brings up a security problem with Firefox, because it is not a "secure" page, but it's something I'll bring in support of the Addon for one or one at Bugzilla)

"Screen" can be moved to a different toolbar, but you need the mode customize open and 'slide' + with the circle around it (which only seems to be present during the loading of this page - http://www.getforecastfox.com/customize/16/ - in Firefox), to be able to move the screen to a different location. In addition, a lack of "convention" with personalization, use cursor changes that are not the same as with the other tens of thousands of Firefox Add - ons that are available for Firefox. "A helping hand with the extended index" is the usual cursor used to display the 'sweet spot' to 'slide' mode customize, but this extension uses the cursor to "move" instead - the ToolTip for that says "move".
"Drag and drop to move Forecastfox.
' Close the page options to hide this icon.

    See CSS2 Cursor property - http://www.gtalbot.org/DHTMLSection/Cursors.html

I hope that answers all your questions with the Forecastfox add-on.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-n203ex: 10 a Windows Activation failed after clean install

To say things in a concise way, I bought a HP Pavilion Notebook with Windows 8.1 15-n203ex 64 bit pre installed.  On July 30, 2015, I upgraded my windows 8.1 to windows 10 which was provided as a free Microsoft Update and everything went fine except for a problem of display that has been fixed after installing the latest Nvidia drivers.

Now, after about 30 days, I thought to do a clean install to my laptop with windows 10 and so downloaded ISO appropriate and my installation. After the installation of the new operating system, it is not Activated at all no matter what I do, I get an error to enter the CD key.

Before you do a clean install of windows 10, using scripts from the internet, I received the Windows key from the registry that is unfortunately not be accepted by windows 10 now.

Microsoft has informed if an upgrade is done Windows 8.1 for windows 10 there is no need to have a key during installation should be the key automatically from the Bios, correct me if I'm wrong.

Please, help me to overcome this particular problem I am facing.

Even after 20 days Activation took place so I decided to do a brief study of the issue and find me a solution.

I solved the problem by downloading the 8.1 Windows 64 bit iso from Microsoft's Web site and installed. During installation, surprisingly the Installer did not ask the product key. Everything went very well and immediately after the update of the firt he invited upgrade me to Windows 10 I did happily.

There are several applications available on the internet that provides you with the windows product key 8 or 8.1 from the Bios. Neosmart found to be the most simple and free to use without any malware.

Now, my laptop is running 64-bit Windows 10 and fully active and up to date.

Hope that this could be useful for someone like me.

  • P7 - 1126 s WIN8 upgrade worked fine until I got clean install. Now stop and sleep do not work.

I have a P7 - 1126 s running win7 Premium 64-bit and when I've upgraded to windows 8 that everything was working properly. I installed a second monitor without problem. After testing the monitors were operating properly, I shut down the PC to remove the old monitor and when I remved the second monitor and powered on the system. It allowed to to start the system and got stuck on a web page (to detect the Proxy settings) I let it sit for about 30 minutes and forced to withdraw.

When I rebooted nothing worked. I tried refreshing the PC and rebuild MBR etc... Nothing has worked. MS suggested the clean install. The installation restarts would freeze and I had to manually stop to complete installation.

The short of it is... Can not stop or put to sleep. What stops the system will power down, but Fans and light PCs remain on. I have to always force shut off. MS works with me, but no luck so far. All drivers have been updated. Several upgrades and reinstalls.

Why everything worked properly when win7 has been upgraded, but not when win8 was clean installed?

BIOS FRIEND 7.07, 16/08/2011 8 GB Ram 1 TB HARD drive

After further investigation, I learned that some drivers Win8 and HP are not compatible. Once update drivers out of HP, then the new facility should be good.

I rebooted Win7 and then Win8 and everything is great!

OK, how much RAM have you?

    I found this information:

However, I remembered seeing something on the Internet about Microsoft 64-bit being unhappy with 4 GB of ram during the installation process of the systems... .then I got 2 GB of ram and the installation went OK! I will give the memory later.
