  I have a HP g60 535dx laptop which at the first began one day with a stuck in windows anamated files windows logo thenerror was missing or something I did a reformat and recovery with discs. even after start up of a complete cut is 10 to 30 min also stop would take 5 minutes. right now while I'm typing this I waited a good 30 minutes for him so that it starts.   That is not a problem and it is easy to retrieve.  You are going to want to go where the files and folders are stored in your Start menu and the best way to do this is to open your Start menu, go to all programs and on another folder with the right mouse button and choose explore.  This will put you in the location wherever the folders and shortcuts are stored.  From there, just move up a level and move the backrest to the workstation and you should be good.

  For more information, there are 2 folders that make up what you see in the menu start, a common (or public) and a private.  Both get merged to give a smooth.

  The common (public), one is to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start start\program

  and the private sector, one is C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

  Files above are below hidden folders so you will need to first enable the option to view hidden folders and files, but the right click Explore method is the best way to get there anyway.

  Finally, if you want to create a shortcut to a folder on the start menu, find it and then right click and choose "send to".  Under this menu, you will see an option to create a shortcut on the desktop.

  You can not do this. Programs include not only their program
  files. There are also many references in \Windows, in the register and
  elsewhere and these re all lost if you reinstall Windows.

• T420s no power, flashing Led power - does not start

  My 2 month old T420s refuses to boot from this morning.

  After pressing the power button, it starts flashing Alternatively the light of the power button and the LED fingerprint reader.

  Nothing else happens, no fan starts to run, or anything else.

  I have not changed anything since yesterday when it is started without any problems.

  Hi mate,

  could possibly be the RAM, so please check the RAM modules and remove 1 module if you have 2 of them installed.
  Otherwise, I check if some another module of RAM is available and install the module of well known work. If this is not sufficient then I strongly recommend you to bring your machine to a service partner chartered for a balance of health/repair of equipment.

  Please give some information about your situation...

  P.S.: you can try to remove the battery and AC and leave the machine without power for about 24 hours. Maybe it helps?

  My Tecra M2 does not start. After the toshiba logo, a series of zeros (0) appear all over the screen.

  -suspect it is caused by a virus, I formatted the HD (in another PC), but still the zeros appear
  -I might want to start in the DVD player, it seems to read the disc, but nothing happens, just a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen
  -J' I reset / replaced the RAM, but still no effect.

  I think we can exclude HARD disk failure because you are able to format it in another computer.
  As you suggest the RAM modules has been replaced but the problem persists
  So in my opinion, a motherboard problem would be possible

  But as you know, it of really difficult to say what might be exactly wrong
  I think that the technician should check the laptop then it would be possible to say what part is malfunctioning

  In any case, I think a motherboard might be affected

• A55 does not start; power indicator not now

  We have an A55 (8705/J3U) just out of warranty (exp. 1 June) that will not start. Feeding tests as good all around (Antec tester), confirming the green power LED 115V on the back. Fans and HD light and service HD LED lights up green in the face, but the front works indicator LED will glow. No beeps for diagnosis, without video to see the POST messages and no set rotation of CD/DVD to try to start like that.  Have replaced the range cables for power, electric, front power switch & led and HD set.

  After reviewing other threads, I see that "[i] f the power button is pressed and the light does not illuminate, then boot block recovery will not work."  If the USB and BBR idea floppy drive looks (and in any event it is did nothing for the PC recently that operating system Windows and usual Office patches: no update of the BIOS).  After you verify that the power supply is good, am I now backed up to no way out (1) new card system, or (2) new PC?  (Because the power switch itself will begin the HD & fans, and it taking four seconds will turn the fans and HD market back, I'm not inclined to think that a new power switch will work.)  But I am open to learn...   Motherboard, that's what I would try next also after reading all of the symptoms you mention.  Your food is really good and it seems that the switch works.  There is the possibility that the LEDs on the switch Assembly may be interrupted, but its doubtful.  A dead CPU could also cause the errors you mention, but it is the least likely to fail.

  Answer to your question is YES. You can remove the battery and use your laptop with AC power only. In most PC stores showing the rooms are placed laptop without battery. Probably the batteries have been stolen in the past.
  Anyway, they can run with AC power only.

  I completely agree with Akuma. For me it sounds like a motherboard as failure, but you should test another AC/DC adapter too.

  If you need a new motherboard or AC adapter, you can also search on eBay. For old laptops you can get very cheap spare parts.
