T420 valuation 1366 * 768 screen 1600 * 900

Hello

I have a Thinkpad T420 with "Intel HD Graphics 3000" and screen resolution is 1366 * 768. I really need an optical resolution screen.

I was wondering if the chart supports if I just buy a screen 1600 * 900 and replace it?

I really appreciate if you share your experiences.

Tasurinchi,

This is good news so far.

These cable CIM and inverters are available for purchase in case I have no problem with them?

Could you please let me know more in detail what they really are?

Thank you very

My screen does not have the entire screen - he ends up on about 2cm on the right side.

The problem is that I can't adjust the 1366 X 768 screen resolution. Highest on the list of options is 1200 X 800. I downloaded the current driver - but it does not help. I used system restore a few times and it is sometimes useful, but not always - IE, it defines the resolution of 1366 X 768, and all goes well.

    It makes me crazy!
    It's a R700, windows 7, 64 bit.

Are you using the original Toshiba recovery image? I mean the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop?

I mean the original image is designed for certain model of laptop, so I can't imagine that this problem occurs with the Toshiba drivers.

    Hello

I saw signs of sale resolution LCD WXGA + 1600 * 900 for my laptop model (a ProBook s 4430 with a panel of mast resolution 1366 * 768) for sale, both shiny and matte.

The connections of the pins are exactly the same, so if I spent $50 on an OEM screen (my BIOS is F.41) could install it?

I have found no feedback on it, yet I don't know they would only do screens if they could be mounted. Are there underlying hardware incompatibilities?

    Hello

    The series didn't come with a resolution of 1600 x 900:

Some vendors sell screens at 1600 x 900 and they say "compatible".

  • Hi, can I buy without problem After Effects and use on a 1366 x 768 screen? I do not have another monitor, than that, so I want to use after effects, but the requeriment to a 1080 p monitor, scared me

Well, I want to buy adobe AE, but if I need a new monitor, unfortunately I have to give up, I live in the Brazil, everything here is expensive price or I buy a new monitor or get with Adobe AE, the problem is if I use monitor with 1366 x 768 without problems

This monitor does not meet the minimum requirements of the system. It will not work for After Effects. Some elements of the user interface will not fit. That's why the dimensions in pixels of the screen are listed in system design.

  • For a laptop for the loading of images from LR on travel - is 1366 x 768 screen enough and the size of the HARD drive?

I have big PCs and giant screens for the home edition, but for travel I am looking for a laptop for image loading on the road and the base LR sorting and marking of displacement.

2 questions for your experiences, the regulars of the forum, in my opinion:

1 1 TB HDD with an external 1 TB HARD drive as backup - rather than 256 or 512 GB SSD IB (reasons of $$$ and also to load all my images on a trip)

    2. 14-inch screen 1366 x 768 or similar instead of full HD ($$$ reasons and because I tell myself that I can zoom in to check the focus on this screen very well)

    Your comments and your experiences?

Sorry for not giving you enough information

Cameras include a D800. Last long trip saw about 600 GB of images that I kept on a laptop for about 100 GB of capacity, then on a portable HARD drive (with an another portable HARD drive for backup). I have not run LR on a laptop connected to hard drives external and thought that it would be better all around having large drive onboard

Computer laptop features include an i7, with a graphics card to support enough treatment LR for the process of cataloguing "on the trip.

  • View T420s port drive 2560 x 1600?

    Hi all

Just received a T420s from a T410s. The T410s has switchable graphics. When connected with a display port cable using a series 3 docking station, the old T410s will lead my Dell 3008 at its native resolution of 2560 x 1600 with no problems.

The new T420s is * not *, no matter what I do. Even cable, same screen, same dock, etc. The highest possible is 2016 x 1000 - something (writing home and past by memory, sorry I don't know the exact number).

Any ideas? It is a real disappointment that I really need the extra real estate. Each spec TEC says it will good resolution, but it just won't... I do not even have the option in the NVIDIA Control Panel. It doesn't let me put in 2560 x 1600, as a custom resolution. Display driver is up-to-date. As I said, there is nothing wrong with the cable, the monitor, the connection.

If you run the 3008 Dell using the native displayport connection? What happens if you move to a discrete gpu only in the bios menu?

  • T420: cancelled multi touch screen option?

    Hello

I already asked in the German forums on T420 (s) and multi touch screen.

I had my hopes up when I saw such an option on one side German product, but there is nothing in the expedition of Tabuk and the mods could not find anything either.

The option of multi touch screen was really cancelled with the 420 series?

And with the switch to 16:9, there is probably no option to update/change the parts without voiding warranty using T400/410 parts?

    See you soon,.

    Peter

There is no multitouch option in T420 and T420s.

  • Need 1024 x 600 1024 x 768 screen resolution

Have a screen of 1024 x 768 on graphics controller Intel (r) 82852/82835 GM/GMR. My system tells me that my drivers are up to date.

My screen resolution is at 1024 x 600 then available on slider is 1152 x 864, which is of no use to me. I used to only get 1024 x 768, no problem. Operating XP pro on a JVC mini. I need to get 1024 x 768 for my emails and much more.

Thanks for your help. Problem solved with new drivers

Same problem here, the screen 1366 * 768 is completely useless. I totally regret buying this laptop.

I wonder if it is possible to interact with a screen 1600 * 900?

  • Re: How to change the Satellite L650-108 screen resolution greater than 1024 x 768

You just bought a new 108 L650, but I cannot fix the upper to 1024 x 768 screen resolution.
    It should be 1366 x 768.

Right-click on the desktop and choosing the resolution of the screen only gives you the opportunity to 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. I can't find anyway to get it to the correct resolution.

    Help would be most appreciated.

    Hello

  • T420s - screen brightness increases and decreases

    Hello

I noticed on my T420s that changes of screen brightness according to the image on the screen.

    For example:

-I'm looking at some site with black background and gray letters

When I pass screen for my outlook or for example firefox with this forum which first minutes white white background is gray and then it becomes whiter and whiter until after about 2 seconds, he moved.

I thought at first my eyes question, but it is certainly behavior from my laptop.

Anyone with the same problem? Can do this set by some software/Power Manager tweak?

Do you use your laptop on battery when this happens?

It is a setting I believe you can disable in the Intel graphics settings. Mine does the same thing - it's supposed to save energy.

  • Upgrade of the screen

I have a T530 with screen resolution 1366 x 768 and you want to install a 1600 x 900 screen instead. Is it a viable plan or is it doomed to failure?

Please excuse this post as I did a little digging and discovered: Yes, I can spend my 1366 x 768 to 1600 x 900 or if I choose, I might go to the FHD.

  • Pavilion 15-p253nu: screen of laptop upgrade to Full HD ready HD

    Hello

I have HP Pavilion p253nu 15. I've done a few upgrades - changed the wifi chip, added an internal antenna more wifi and replaced the HDD with SSD.

But now I want to replace the screen with Full HD display with IPS.

    I found this one:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Samsung-LTN156HL01-102-pls-LCD-screen-replacement-for-laptop-new-led-full-HD...

    But it is written:

Please, make sure you have the same screen resolution, or replacement will not work. HD (1366 x 768) screen using a video cable channel, while HD + (1600 x 900) and Full HD (1920 x 1080) using a cable 2-channel video, so they are not compatible. You can improve the resolution of the screen in the video cable full HD only! Please, consult the manufacturer to find compatible video cables HD + and FullHD resolutions.

My question is: do I need a cable for the new screen, and what cable or can I just replace the screen only?

    Best regards

    Ivo Petrov

  • Update of the screen HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15

Hi all, I have a Hp Pavilion Sleekbook 15 b-045el

This device has a TN BrightView 1366 x 768 screen, I wanted to know if its possible to improve it by using for example:

15.6 touchscreen "1366 x 768 of the Touchsmart from Hp Pavilion Sleekbook 15

The connector is compatible? I will earn touch capabilities?

Or for example a 1600 x 900 15.6 "display from another HP laptop? (I know FullHD needs pins too so that it will not work)

Thanks in advance for the help

    Hi 89luca89,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b045el and replacing your BrightView screen. Here is a link to manual page 27 The only part of HP is 35.6 cm (15.6-inch), HD, WLED, SVA BrightView display panel 701688-001, so I have to say, it won't work. If it has third party screens, you will need to check that online.

    Thank you.
