T430s taskbar

Hello Forum, I just recieveed my new T430s yesterday in the mail and so far I am very satisfied. Except that the only thing I have a problem is when I was updating all the recommended updates I got this bar can wifi spots that I really just want to get rid of them, someone please tell me how I can do this?

The wifi bar, I want to get rid of that is green next to the touch, in the image below. I also have the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205, maybe that is what causes the problem, but I'm not very sure.

Thank you!

You don't mention what operating system you're running, so I assumed that since the T430 is new that you have Windows 8. it is very good of the substantially the same to customize Windows 7. http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-icons-from-the-notification-area-system-tray

Someone else may have a better suggestion.

  • ThinkPad T430 turn off screen without sleep?

Hello, just bought a T430 here and I'm in love. The keyboard is similar to any desktop and the life of the portability and battery perfectly meet my needs.

With the old T420, Fn + F3 turns off the screen without putting the computer to sleep so you can adjust the settings. However, with the new type chicklet keyboard (which is now a 6-row instead of 7), lenovo seems to have made Fn + F3 to lock the computer. I can't find a way to turn off the screen without affecting active downloads/music/etc.

I use Linux on my Acer laptop. I want to use Mozilla Firefox version 42.0 or more recent in the 'new private window Mode"always. When I click on the Firefox icon on my desktop or the taskbar, I want Firefox to open in 'New private window' always; no exception. When I click on the tab button or a link, all new pages should always open 'Private window' mode. In addition, I want to know that I am in a private window with privacy mask showing. Your help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Amos.

Hi Amos, assuming you want to get more protection, monitoring, there are a few options:

    • You can customize your firefox shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar to open firefox directly in private browsing mode: right-click the shortcut "mozilla firefox", go to properties, and at the end of the target line that should hold them the way to the firefox program folder add " -private"
    • You can enable protection followed not only during private browsing, but in normal windows as hollow a 'hidden' preference: enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named privacy.trackingprotection.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to true.
    • You can set firefox don't remember history in the menu > options > sign confidentiality in order to always run in private browsing mode. However you will not be able to open all normal windows or record the history and passwords if you have defined this mode: confidentiality, and-not-track browsing history settings
  • Why isn't the taskbar Windows 10 stay on top when browsing with Firefox?

For one reason or another, the Windows 10 taskbar is not displayed on the top of the Firefox browser windows/pages. He remains at the top in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. Why won't it stay on top in Firefox? I need to be able to see the time and date while browsing. Is there a solution to this? Please inform me of how to remedy the situation as soon as POSSIBLE, or I have to use Google Chrome (but I won't!).

If Firefox is in display full screen, that allows to block the taskbar. You can switch from full screen to normal display using either:

    • F11
    • Drag the pointer of the mouse to the top of the screen, right-click on an empty area of the bar tab, then exit fullscreen

If this is not it, sometimes the file that stores the dimensions of the window becomes corrupt with nonsense values. Since the file is difficult to edit, you can rename and have Firefox back to windows default sizes.

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".

  • How can I configure the button or the download icon in my taskbar? It is therefore visible without always having to look for downloads

The download button never displays on my screen or the taskbar. How do I set it so it doesn't? I couldn't find the answer to this on my research...

If you mean the animation down arrow/progress bar icon described in support- where to find and manage files in Firefox downloaded article - it should be there by default. Sometimes if you find yourself with too many buttons/icons on the toolbar, some controls 'overflow' on a drop-down list. The button for the menu drop-down has an > > icon. If you find that you can use customize to set the download button to a more useful location.

If it isn't here either, consider using the "Restore default settings" button down in the center of tab customize to return toolbars "defect". This article is for details on customize: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

Icons show when I do an alt - tab (Windows XP) and when I click on the taskbar for Thunderbird a long list of emails, but to be treated appears. It's pretty new, not a problem for many years of happiness of the use of your e-mail program.

    I wasn't able to get a screenshot.

Thunderbird opens just as you closed. If you left 10 open messages in windows when you close they will be there the next time you start Thunderbird.
Regarding the relocation, move forward. It will occupy you for a while but not to change the way Thunderbird works normally.

    Hello

Refresh (called "Reset" in older versions of Firefox) can solve a lot of problems in restaurant Firefox as his default factory while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose all the extensions, toolbar customizations, and certain preferences. See article Firefox Refresh - reset modules and parameters for more information.

    Refresh for Firefox:

    1. Open the troubleshooting information page using one of the following methods:

      • Click the menu button

        click Help

and select troubleshooting information. Should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.

      • If you are unable to access the Help menu, type Subject: support in your address bar to bring up the troubleshooting information page.
    2. At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says 'Refresh Firefox' ('reset Firefox' in older versions of Firefox). Click on it.

I can't find the FF in 10 Windows anywhere... I downloaded, refreshed, etc... but no visible icon on the desktop, the icon taskbar, dosen't show at "all apps".

See if there is a Mozilla Firefox directory in C:\Program Files (x 86). If so and there are files in this directory, you should be able to reinstall Firefox without losing your preferences.

Also, you should be able to run it by typing "Firefox" at a DOS command prompt. If it is running, then just create icons yourself.

  • Firefox has crashed on the desktop. Get only the black screen, taskbar with icons and hourglass cursor of the mouse on the taskbar. Windows 10.

I tried to restart Firefox, nothing helps. Then I tried to restart my desktop computer Dim screen with taskbar with icons, hourglass cursor that does nothing on tasckbar only. I tried to close everything down and restart - without success. I write from my laptop, the problem is on my desk - Hewlett-Packard, 2-3 years, running windows 10. Contact a computer repair. It seems that the system files are corrupted.

It happened all of a sudden during a browsing session. Also, I do not see the albums "open windows" list unless I have point to him. "Auto-hide taskbar" is not checked. I tried to stop and do a restart, but nothing has changed. The two bars are always top in IE but not in Firefox more. It is very annoying. I would like to know how to solve this problem, and also how it could have happened, so I don't do it again! Thanks in advance.

Firefox is stuck in mode full screen? The F11 function key switches between regular views and full screen modes.

Firefox window is an irrational dimension in normal mode, it can indicate a corruption of the file that stores the information of location/size of window. The usual medicine is to rename this file and let Firefox restart by using the default dimensions. Here's how:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

As this process goes probably most toolbars, you can use one of the following methods to display the toolbar list and activate the desired bars it:

  • Cannot detach Firefox icon to Windows 7 taskbar - new facility.

I installed Firefox on a new laptop running Windows 7 today. It appears that the installation has a FF icon on my Windows 7 icon. Large. However, when I click on this icon, it adds a second FF icon beside the original and the other and the other for each session of FF that I opened. It obstructs the taskbar! My previous install simply "stacked" FF session icons in one place on the taskbar?

I have read several threads which suggest FF opening with the original on the taskbar icon. Then, right click the new icon and select "pin this icon to the taskbar. Then right-click of the original icon and select "remove this icon to the taskbar. That's the problem. When I right click the original icon, no additional options are displayed. Nothing! He says only: "Mozilla Firefox".

So, basically, I can't delete the original icon at all? Any suggestion would be appreciated!

jscher2000. Thank you once again. Well, I solved it, but by chance. I restarted the PC and the icon disappeared from the taskbar! Weird. I created a new start menu, and no, it works as expected.

On your previous post, you are probably right. FF did not place the icon in the taskbar. Got dragged there that has been placed on the desktop. Good fishing.

Not sure why the previous icon would cooperate not at all on the first time. Just after the restart. Maybe a registry setting?

    Thanks again!

  • How to eliminate 1 2 icons taskbar of Thunderbird when you use a calendar in Thunderbird

I use TB worm. 38.1. from the beginning to use worm. 38, I've included a calendar in Thunderbird. First of all, this is the Mozilla Calendar, but then I changed it to my Google Calendar. No matter that I used, Thunderbird is now two icons to Thunderbird on my Windows task bar. Both do the same thing and I can't figure how to get rid of one of them. If I close one, two (and Thunderbird) close and I can't find anything in the Thunderbird Options to deal with this. And if I try to hide one of the icons, using the procedure of customization of Windows, the two icons taskbar is hidden. Any ideas how to get rid of the two identical icons, leaving it alone?

I found the solution. The problem isn't the calendar function, it's an add-on called "MinimizeToTray Plus." If anyone has this problem, please refer to http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39 & t = 1962329
