T500 internal (built-in) microphone does not work do not
I have a T500 2802 7Sg which took 2 updates to the bios and the internal microphone does not work. Have an international warranty and Lenovo service tech said I need to take the laptop to be repaired and what I read the problem seems to be a software/driver gliche. Does anyone know a miracle or download driver solution that will solve this problem?
Thank you
Hello
Go into the BIOS > Security > access to the Port of IO > scroll microphone > make sure that the power is turned on

built in microphone does not work after three weeks. I tried to install the new driver from Toshiba Web site software, but nothing helped. -Webcam with external microphone works well.
Yesterday, Mike worked for ten minutes, but then cut again.
Hey,.
> I tried to install the new driver from Toshiba Web site software
What driver software that you have installed?
The microphone belongs to internal webcam, so you need to reinstall the driver for the webcam if internal microphone doesn t work properly.> but then cut again.
Is that mean that the internal MIC is silent? Please check that the windows audio settings if the microphone is classified correctly recorders and set as default device. -
Windows XP and built-in microphone does not work
I had reviewed similar topics, but I couldn't find a clear solution.
My laptop is XP and has a built-in microphone. I tried Skype and the microphone does not work. It was not used in the past2 or 3 years, but it has been running at the same time. Use Audacity for school work. Can't do the part of speech recognition because I'm working with Office 2007 as it says XP and Office 2007 do not work.
Any ideas to fix or am I destined for an external mic? or would that even work?

With respect to the built-in microphone, you may need to reinstall the audio drivers from the manufacturers Web site.
As far as the webcam goes, as long as its compatible I guess it will work fine.
Malware or virus infections can have harmful effects on a computer, even if they have been deleted. The only sure way to never remove infections from virus or malware is to reinstall Windows.

Latitude E6400 built-in Microphone does not
Hello. My machine is a Latitude E6400 running Windows 7 34 bit.
I bought used recently and found that the microphone (which, according to specifications must be built in) does not work.
I tried to check it is not cut, as well as turn the off/on it again. It is said it is active, but (in the recording devices), there is no upward movement/green line to show that is to record my voice. Setting up the microphone via the Control Panel does not work either.
I tried to install the Audio drivers from Dell, but it comes up with the following message is displayed:
"The hardware found is not supported by this package IDT.
The installation will be interrupted. »
I tried everything I can think of. Someone at - it other ideas on how to fix my microphone?
AshHollandmicrophone (which should be built according to specifications)I might have missed, but the single microphone that I see in the documentation of this model is in the assembly of the webcam at the top of the frame of the screen. The webcam has been a purchase option on this model. The webcam itself work? Because if it's not then either it is not or does not, and in both cases, the microphone does not work. If you have a program named Dell Webcam Central in your list of programs, then use it to control the webcam.
Even if the webcam works the microphone could become defective. You can get a replacement webcam people-parts.
You can also check in the BIOS. I don't know about your model, but some laptops have a mic option in the BIOS.

Go to this page and you can see all the drivers for Dell just introduced for the E6400.
http://downloads.Dell.com/published/pages/latitude-E6400.html
Try all the audio drivers Windows 7 IDT. If none work there is another problem with the laptop and I would suggest running a System Recovery if the seller has provided the recovery media, or if the recovery image is still on the hard drive. If you are able to perform a system restore and the microphone still does not work, then it is either missing or failed.

Built in microphone does not work on my Tecra A9
I have a Tecra A9 PTS52A-OEYO3F
My operating system is XP Professional.
I'm trying to set up a Skype account without having to buy a plug in microphone. I think that my Tecra A9 has a built in microphone. When I test the equipment via the control panel / sounds and Audio devices / voice / hardware test, an error message indicates that my voice could not be detected. Also, a similar Skype test revealed that my voice could not be detected.
The user manual on page 4-23, under the heading level Microphone sets out the process to change the logging level. Step 1 requires a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar to reveal devices of recording on the submenu. When I perform the right click of the "speaker" of the menu has revealed icon includes "Open Volume Control" and "Adjust Audio properties". There is no option of "Recording devices" where only the instructions in the manual do not apply.
I'm not convinced that I have a microphone, and if I do then why it is not working.
Thank you
If your Tecra has a build-in webcam so he must have mic too.
Are you using the original recovery image Toshiba WXP or you have installed Windows XP Home edition on your own? -
Satellite A215-S4747 (internal and external) microphone does not work
Hello
I write about my wife by Satellite A215-S4747 running Windows XP.
A few months ago as the built-in microphone and external microphone has stopped working. This made me think it was a driver problem, although no issue in
Control Panel > sounds and Audio devices > equipment for all drivers.I went through the Troubleshooting Wizard, but that did not help.
I went and downloaded drivers RealTek HD Audio (R2.67), but that didn't fix it.Any help is very appreciated.
Thank you
Peter
I want to emphasize that this machine is about 6 years old, making the possibility of some parts break most likely...
Hello
Sound works. Right? Well well, in that case I n t think that it is an audio driver problem.
First of all, I think you should check some basic settings.
(1) mic device.
Go to the control panel-> sounds and Audio-> Audio-> sound recording devices
Here you check if device right microphone has been selected(2) mic volume
Go to the control panel-> sounds and Audio devices-> Audio-> audio-> Volume
Here you check if the volume is at max level
Additional button Advanced should be available at the bottom of the mic volume control click that it and check if the mic push in checked.Have you installed some tools or software which may affect (disabled) the microphone?

Re: Satellite A300-15F - XP's built-in microphone does not work
I downgraded from VISTA to XP on my new A300-15E.
Everything is normal except for the built-in microphone. There is only a driver for webcam on the Web site.
Do I need a driver for the microphone?Hello
In my opinion, you must also install the webcam software because there is a link between the internal mic and the webcam.
But usually, the microphone is controlled by the audio driver and you should also check the microphone settings inPanel-> sounds & audio devices-> tab volume-> advanced-> control volume mic-> Advanced button
Good bye

Built in microphone does not work on the Satellite P200 - 17 c
Help, please.
I have a Satellite P200 - 17 c. Windows Vista Edition home premium, 32-bit operating system.
Sometimes, the built-in mic works then ceases to make Skype, useless msn. The webcam works fine but with no microphone. I've updated the driver, uninstalled and reinstalled several times that I care to remember.Sometimes it's the microphone works for a short period, then it goes silent. In the sound control panel bit is shows as working properly, but it's not.
Please help me.Is preinstalled OS original OS that you got with your laptop.
It is still problematic to discuss problems that sometimes occur. Have you checked the mic Skype or MSN options when this happens?
Check in the sound options > recording devices is mic is enabled and set as default device. So try something and you should see the reaction on the green light. Is there a reaction?

Satellite L350 - built in microphone does not work after upgrade Win8
Hi people,
I have this problem since I went from Vista to windows 8. my sound card seems to work ok. My webcam works also. I made sure I chose the right microphone on the Panel etc. so theoretically there is no reason why it shouldn't work... but it is not working.
im guessing it has to do with my laptop being old enough, so no compatible drivers? I have a Satellite L350.
What should I do?
falone buy headphones?best!
AlI understand that you want to use newer OS on this old piece of hardware, but it can be problematic to use it if certain model of laptop is not fully compatible.
I think you're the first person who reported thereon. Unfortunately, I can't help you with this but if possible ask a friend if you can get outputs audio headphones and test mic ports.
It will be interesting to know if you will be able to use the headset. Please post comments.

Re: Portégé R700-184 - built in microphone does not
I can't get the microphone to work. However, it works very well with a micro usb external.
Have tried changing the settings in the control panel called "His" when I click on the tab "recording". "Microphone" shows a green check mark as a default device. Strangely, the bar graduated to the right of the microphone, sometimes shows random environmental activities, but nothing which relates to sounds that I do at the time. Driver is functional and up to date.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Hey,.
> Driver is functional and up to date.
Which driver you mean exactly? I hope is not the audio driver because it has nothing to do with the internal mic. It belongs to the webcam, so you must reinstall/update the driver for the webcam.Check this box!

Internal microphone does not work in Satellite C850-B377
The microphone does not work now. It worked very well but immediately stopped.
Tried setting the sytem for a previous working restore point. But again same problem.
Realtek is the audio driver installed.External Mike works very well.
Anyone can help with this problem.Laptop bought the UNITED Arab Emirates and now in India and its less than 1 year.
Can I get the service locally in India.
Hello
The internal MIC is part of the webcam module.
What happens if you start the webcam, try saving and small clip? The sound recording is this too?Usually, you can change the recording devices in Control Panel-> sound-> recording tab
Here, you can check what devices are available. Right click and check if hidden and disabled devices can be demonstrated.By the way: I had some problems with the playback of the sound after installing the Realtek audio driver. I uninstalled the Realtek audio driver and Device Manager remove the audio display Intel (in games, field audio video controller). In the peripheral zone system you could remove the controller high definition audio.
Again, restart the laptop.Usually, removing devices should be recognized automatically. Then go again to the dashboard-> sound-> recording tab and check if other devices outside external microphone are available.
