T500: SDHC card must be formatted?

My SD card on my T500 reader only works with SD cards. When I put the SDHC card, he askes me to format it. The card reads perfectly well on Linux and with a USB Flash Drive adapter for it but why it doesn't directly? It's because I need to update?

Maliha: Forgot to make it work with other SDHC cards.

Fixed a problem. Drivers never even installed when I ran "install". I just opened the Device Manager and "updated" drivers by pointing to the folder SDMMC, created Extractor.

  • SDHC cards can be formatted NTFS?

I would like the "NTFS" format so that I can save copies of my regular Outlook Backup files on SDHC cards!  I use Windows 7 on both of my computers.

When I try to copy the Outlook Backup for SDHC cards I have, I get a message on the file is too big, although the display of properties seems to show that there is enough space!

The cards I have are shown are formatted as "FAT."  I guess that the problem has something to with the "block size" of the file linked to the "block size" used in the 'FAT' format!  If this ISN ' T my problem, WHAT is?

If I can format/reformat a SDHC card to NTFS to solve my problem, please give me instructions step by step.  If there is another solution, I would certainly receive!  On my e-mail address please reply!

  • SD cards automatically no formatting Vista?

I have Windows Vista on my desktop.  I had my computer since August and I regularly use a SD/USB adapter to connect my SD card on my computer because there is no point of direct connection for SD cards.  It was working fine up until January, when all the suddenly is started automatically change all the files in my SD cards read-only, which allows me to there access not and having to change that, every time that I loaded SD card.  It's an easy fix, I was ready to deal.  Now, when I put an SD card it reads what I have on cards for about 5 minutes and then all of a sudden he stands up and says that my SD card must be formatted before so I can use it.  I disconnect the card and put it back in my camcorder and my camcorder has now said that he will no longer work with the SD card.  I put it in the computer and he immediately said that it must be formatted everything first.  Formatting the SD card would mean delete everything out of it.  I'm tired of what is happening, I have some very important things on these maps and I need to fix it.  He was not doing this before it's completely random.  I know it's Vista, because there is nothing wrong with the SD cards when I record on camcorder on them, just once I put them in the computer, they are completely ruined by who knows what happens with my computer tries to read whats going on.  You can help me, it drives me crazy.  Thank you!

  • Re: Satellite U400 - Toshiba SD Format Utility works do not with SDHC card

I bought a Toshiba U400-10 opportunity and I am in the process of cleaning in Vista 64 stall.
Everything seems to work except 2 utilities.

Toshiba SD Format and Boot Toshiba SD utilities.
I guess that they do not work because I am trying to format a SDHC card and the utilities are not compatible with SDHC cards (SD only).

I hope that someone can confirm my suspicions.
    Thanks in advance.

Download the manuals for this machine and check the list of all supported cards that can be used with it.
You can download manuals on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_manuals.jsp

By the way: this old machine works perfectly with Win7 32 bit. Why you n t use Win7? It is much better than Vista.

    Are you running Windows XP?

You should be able to format the card using the camcorder
menu... Check your camcorder owner's manual...

And FWIW... formatting the card erases the content... If you
having useful files on the map do not format.

Another thought... If you are running Windows XP, it is possible
that your system is not compatible with the SDHC technology.
If you have an external media player, it may be worth trying to
Remove the camcorder SDHC card and insert it in the
Media player. This can help you to download video.

  • Can't format/use SDHC card 2GB

    Hello

I have a SD card 2 GB and used in my Nikon D40 for years. It worked very well.

Yesterday, when I turn on the camera, the camera says the card was improper use and must be changed.

I pulled it out of the camera and set it in my laptop PC (Windows 7), mp, PC, said that the card is not formatted. I followed the system of Windows messages to try to format it, but at the end he came up with a message such as "Windows could not complete the format".

I tried to use the Windows Disk Manager to format, but windows says 'format was not entirely successful.

I tried to use some programs of trainer 3rd party, such as SD Formatter v4.0, but they colud not format and said that the card has been write protected, even material of write protection switch on the map was in the locked position.

I checked the properties of the card, windows, said that the capacity of the card is 0 bytes.

    My question:

Is it really damaged and can not be fixed?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

in this case, the card seems to be faulty and you can contact sandisk support to ask for a replacement under warranty.

  • SDHC card do not work on the Satellite A200-1J0 with a clean Vista install

    Greetings,

When I bought this laptop he had 32-bit Vista preinstalled and as usual some Toshiba drivers and software. As I remember there wasn't that no problem with no built in memory card reader, he read regular SD and SDHC cards.

One day I had to reinstall the operating system (without using the recovery disc) and I downloaded the drivers for my laptop's official website, install and the card reader now is not able to read SDHC cards. Is it me?

That's what I installed for the reader:

-Toshiba Value Added Package, where is TOSHIBA Flash Cards inside
    -Flashmedia driver
    Utilities - SD

I just want to underline that there is no problem with reading mmc or normal sd cards.
My sdhc card is 100% works correctly with other card readers.
Another sdhc card I have does not work, it's just that I put anything inside the player.

    Just nothing happens.
Is there something else that I missed, and it is the reason for my problem?

No fix for Vista or something like that?

    Hello

You the problem with SD cards are certainly related to the software I think that your drivers/utilities are installed isn't properly (in order) or on Vista may miss something.

    Maybe you don t know what important thing;
It is very important to install the driver (no matter that drivers;) XP or Vista) in the right order.
For most an installation instruction is placed on the page of the European driver Toshiba, which contains the essential installation order.

As I m not wrong not the A200-1J0 belongs to the series PSAE6E and you must choose this series first to get all the compatible drivers for you series.

    By the way;

The Flash Media Driver is a bridge Media Slot driver. This slot allows you to insert an SD card, Memory Stick (Pro) or xD picture cards.
The SD utilities contains utility Format SD Memory Card and other SD functions like utility of SD memory.

These three applications are very important to use SD cards.

  • Camileo P30 does not work when the 8 GB SDHC card is inserted

    Hello
I just got a new camcorder Camileo P30.
    I also bought a card 8 GB class SDHC 6 100 'Lexar Premium' x
And it does not work with the card inserted.

    Here are the symptoms:
    (1) when the card is not inserted I can do everything OK - take pictures and video, use the menus, it turn on and off.
    (2) when the card is inserted, the following occurs:
2.1) I can't take pictures or video - it does not meet the pressed buttons.
    2.2) I can't access menus.
    2.3) I can't shut off again.
2.4) I do not identify the amount of memory is available (shows only 0 recording time remaining).
    (3) I have tried different combinations of:
3.1) Insert the card so that the camera is turned off.
3.2) Insert the card so that the camera is turned on
3.3) Insert the card while the device is switched on and in one of the menus.
    (4) the camera doesn't always work if I take the card again.

During these expriments (#3), I was sometimes able to get a record time correct left (#2.4), but still #2.1 to 2.3 # were a problem.
At one point, I was also able to "format" the card and subsequently, he showed a record very long time available (not matching only not to the size of the map) and #2.1 to 2.3 # were still in force (i.e. I couldn't use the camera or turn it off).

Note to work around the #2.3 I took the battery.

I was not yet looking for updated firmware, or connect it to the PC.

Has anyone of you has met with such a problem?
What did you do to solve it?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Have you tried another card SDHC?
I m not very well what is happening here, but I recommend you another card in this camcorder.
I m P30 not owner but I have a: 30 and the camcorder reads without problems for 16 GB SDHC card. It works perfectly.

  • Satellite U300 - nothing happens when SD/SDHC cards are plugged

Got a Satellite U300 with Vista home premium
Got a year ago almost and is never used the SD card reader. Now I want to use it, but can't find how to achieve or why it does not work?

Insertion of a card in the card reader does not answer at all.

Is there anything need to be turned on?
All drivers that must be installed (tried a driver read SD but no luck with that)?
It is a software error or machine?

    Thanks for the replies.

    Hello

Hmm... It of difficult to say what s wrong
I think that you first need to understand if you use compatible cards.
I put t know what U300 you exactly but some U300 supports these cards:

    8MB - 2 GB SD card
    4 GB SDHC card
    16MB - 2 GB xD Picture card
Memory Stick 8 to 256 MB
Memory Stick Pro 256 MB to 2 GB
    MultiMediaCard 8 MB - 1 GB
miniSD (with SD adapter) 32 MB - 2 GB

Check if you used the card support.

In addition, you should check the status of the SD card reader in Device Manager if there is some yellow exclamation points. If so, then this would mean that the unit is not installed and working properly.

  • Camileo S10 - SD or SDHC cards

    Hello

Camileo S10 is compatible with SDHC cards or SD?
If it's compatible, what class of SDHC should I buy and which is the maximum it can handle (16 or 32 GB?).

If not, which is the maximum capacity of the SD card, it can handle (maybe 8 GB?)?
    Thank you

    Hello

I do not have S10 but I know that H10 supports SD cards up to 8 GB and supports SDHC cards (Secure Digital high capacity) but I did not test it.
It must be the same on your Camelio.

  • 32 GB SDHC card does not work on CAMILEO H20

    Can anyone help?

I recently bought the camcorder above. I bought a 32 GB memory card class 6 SDHC separately.

The map seems to work fine on my PC as a memory device.
However, I can't work on the camcorder.
I formatted the card on the PC and the camera but still does not work.
When formatted on the camcorder it won't be approved by it (it says MEMORY FULL) and when it is formatted by PC, it can record sequences for a few seconds and then stop without saving the images.
However, I managed to take some photos (only when I formatted the PC) but they will not be recognized by the camera (it shows a folder with a! on this subject) and I can't see any on the PC!
I also tried a different SD CARD 256 MB, but it's always the same problem

I would appreciate any suggestions or comments!

    Thank you

    Hello cygamer,

This seems really odd. I also have a Camileo H20 and I use it with a 32 GB SDHC card.
    I am able to record movies with a 32 GB SDHC (Class6) - 09:01 pm - Full HD (1080 p) / 18:03 h HD (720 p).
    Also I can make pictures with the 32 GB SDHC (Class6) - 10,571 pcs. -High (8mp) / 14.415 pcs. -Standard (5mp) / 26.428 pcs. -Poor quality (3mp).

So, it seems that the issue is not the TV.
Try to insert the sd card locked and unlocked after this insertion.
Please install the full battery and just trying to format the card inside the camera again.
Another point, that you can do is to format the internal memory and set the camera to the default settings.

    welcome them

    Your Starmind/Thomas

    Hello

The card reader supports 8 MB SD cards 2 GB and SDHC cards from 4 GB to 16 GB.
Therefore, your card should be recognized without big problems.

    You insert it correctly?

Also try to remove the card reader device manager, and then restart the laptop. After the Windows has started again, the card reader must be recognized as a new device. Then try to reinsert the CDHC CARE card
