  Hello.

  I'm looking for technical information on the Ultrabay connector in my T61. It would satisfy me to know if there is an available USB port (and where).

  History:

  I own a lenovo T61 (7663 - 13G) without a peripheral WWAN and it is still in warranty.
  I would put my dongle USB WWAN Ultrabay case. Is "nicer" and cheaper looking and buying a PCMCIA card with a small external antenna.
  Plug and unplug my USB device works, but I have to wait for it to be detected, enter my PIN code, wait for network record and then can connect. I'm lazy and sooner or later I'll break something. I know myself.
  (Store atm of USB device in a box for 2 hard drive empty.)

  Yesterday, I looked for a usable space for placing the WWAN card, but there is none left. Unsecured I consider removing PCMCIA plug and place it somewhere out there. But this isn't an option for an additional year.

  What is the correct sequence of installation/adding/inserting adapter in the Bay?

  I know that the sequence of removal.i.e by putting the switch in the back, pulling the latch.

  But what is the sequence to insert the adapter in the location/space?

  Make sure that the tag removal is delayed and just drag the reader gently until it is firmly. Windows will automatically recognize it.

• Battery on T500 - unusual problem - not in the forum

  I have laptop T500 with a battery 6 cells. For some reason, the battery does not charge. The battery on the screen light blinks all the time. I changed the battery but the problem persists, and so I think that it is not the battery. I also checked with another adapter that I have and it's always the same thing. Anyone know how I can solve this problem.

  If the problem persists with different battery, then it is likely that you have a problem with the motherboard. Flashing battery should mean that the battery is below 5% charge level.

• can a t420s run on a battery of ultrabay only?

  does anyone know if this can happen? I'm looking to stock up on the main batteries regular but not all the time lost to a reboot. stick fundamentally wrong in the ultrabay only battery when the main one is low, remove the swap, a principal in another main battery and finally remove the ultrabay battery without having to Hibernate or shut down the computer.

  The only way I see using 2 batteries and main battery 1 ultrabay is:

  1. only insert the main battery and use it until it downstairs.

  2. Insert the battery in the ultrabay. Laptop will switch ultrabay.

  3. replace the main battery to newly loaded while the laptop is on ultrabay battery

  Knit until ultrabay and main batteries are completely discharged.

  I think only in this way that you could achieve 10 hours of normal work of the batteries.

• Simple question R61i Ultrabay...

  It's really a simple question, but I can't find the answer in any of the documents online.  I have a laptop Lenovo R61i 15.1 "widescreen, and I just need to know if it comes with a slot for Ultrabay Slim drive, a drive advance Ultrabay location or an other versions Ultrabay.  I would like to buy a long battery life to adapt to the Ultrabay box, but I see that the different Ultrabay models are not compatible, I want to know what one I need to buy for my computer.  Any help appreciated.

  There is no adapter Ultrabay Enhanced drive, you must use the number 2 of the adapters that you linked.

  You can as long that it is from an another ThinkPad with such a type of card (i.e. of first generation Thinkpad X 1 carbon), you can also use the T540p-135 Watt power adapter for charging too much. The power adapter will only provide the necessary power to the laptop.

  90 watts is the maximum power, it can provide, but it still doesn't provide that much.

  You can install the t61 drive in your t500 and it will start, but if you just want to get the files off of it, you can buy an adapter T500 ultrabay and put the disk in it.

  I have an adapter T500, if you have something of equal value to trade for it.

  Recently, I replaced my T61p with a new x 201. I bought the ban with her, thinking that it a good way to do a quick loading and a good basis for expansion with other readers, etc.

  However, I am looking to get a small boost in power graphic here and, having exhuated options for express card (for less of ~ $ 500, what is) I wonder now what kind of options are available for the ultrabay slim housing.

  In the absence of a prepackaged solution, what are the specifications for the ultrabay? total for example, bandwidth, what kind of overhead should have, it transmits a PCIe 1 x or equivalent Bus connected to the Northbridge? or is it a format purely propreitary? I realize that it routes through this connector on the base of the computer, so maybe I should ask about this.

  If I have to, I can buy a graphical extension of lenovo, go directly to the motherboard or through the expresscard slot, but I was under the impression that the mobo on the x 200 series was fairly strict no expansion, and that the single PCIe location was 1 x running to the ExpressCard 54.
