T520 - Connecting to a Plasma TV

I want to display my computer on a Panasonic Viera TC-P50ST30. I wonder what cable I need to achieve this.

My computer has a "monitor" on the side connector that looks like a regular monitor connector that laptops have had forever.

It also has a connection calls a «display port connector» user manual I don't know what it is.

Regarding the TV - I enclose you screenshot of its manual.

Should what kind of cable I ask the store to be able to connect my computer to the TV?

Thank you!

DisplayPort-HDMI cable to get the best possible connection. You plug a DisplayPort cable DisplayPort on your T520 side (it is located on the left side) and the side HDMI cable to your TV (marked as surrounded next to 'Best' in your PDF file). Cable costs US $8 to $11 shipped on eBay or Amazon. Video and audio signal is transmitted to your TV in this way.

    Hey Buddy,

Why it would not be possible?

Satellite A300 and all Plasma/LCD TVs are generally equipped with HDMI port. So just buy a HDMI to connect your laptop and TV cable.
HDMI cable transfers audio and video signals so only one cable is needed.

Lastly but not the least of using FN + F5 secret key you can switch between monitors. :)

    Hello

You can try to configure the display on a very low resolution just to test if the option back. If it comes the problem is related to the video card is not able to support a higher resolution. So, I suggest you contact the manufacturer to obtain the best resolution taken in charge check and graphics card if it helps.

    Hi marsu

Connection D Qosmio port, you can connect to the TV SCART port. The cable is supplied with the laptop Qosmio. Sorry, but I think that there is no ability to connect to the DVI port on your TV.

The only thing you can do is ask some experts in electronic stores if there is a solution for this problem.

I have a laptop presario V3645AU, connected to the plasma panasonic tv with vga cable. I have no picture on the channel of pc on the TV [via a separate sound cable] should I update my grapics card or drivers for this problem

    Hi Urititi,

You can try to change the display settings and check. .

    Step 1:

    a. open "display settings" in your computer and activate the output to the TV screen. You can reflect the content of your computer on the TV or extend the display as a double screen control.

    b. pick up your TV remote and switch to "External inputs" in the menu. You need to change the value by default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "video 2" depending on how you made the connection. "

Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer, because sometimes it may not recognize the external display.

You may also change the resolution of your TV screen using the display settings in your panel of control remains the image may appear distorted.

  • Connection Satellite L555 old Emerson TV

Is it possible to connect my laptop L555 an old Emerson TV? Appears the laptop computer has a VGA output port and the TV has S-video & S-Audio ports separated?

Satellite L555-12V for example supports an external monitor RGB (VGA) output.
This means that you can connect an external monitor to the laptop.
In addition the laptop supports HDMI port (not sure if your computer supports HDMI as well), but HDMI port can be used to connect an LCD, plasma or LED TV to the laptop.

But the old TV can be connected to the HDMI port, so you'll need to use the VGA output port. I think that you need some kind of adapter to release the video to the TV.
    Internet search for * VGA and S-video adapter-Cable. *.
    You will need this part.

How can I connect my TV Plasma from Panasonic to my PC?

No HDMI or vidio ports of any kind, only of the USB ports on the PC.

Given that the system has no video ports (HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc), I suggest using a USB-to-video device like the EVGA UV plus + 19.

  • T520 RX LED always on andTX

My ThinkPad T520, connected to the Internet through the Intel 6300 wireless card. Indicators for the Ethernet RJ45 port are still regularly informed. I suspect that they shouldn't be. Ideas?

Sorry for the delay in responding. For some reason I try to solve in one minute I don't get notifications of replies. Just fixed it. My mistake.

In any case, disabling the adapter did not help, but he reactivation and then turn off all the Wake on Lan and Magic Packet options solved the problem. LEDS are off and wireless connectivity is solid as a rock.

This is probably a driver issue. I'm guessing that so few use Wake-On-Lan that nobody noticed. I use downloaded Intel drivers directly from Intel because they came with everything else when I upgraded my setup WiDi. I had better luck with drivers Intel WiDi, then with the Lenovo drivers. The Magic Packet stuff was probably on default.

In any case, I'll consider this resolved. Thank you from me in the Device Manager.

  • A channel works only in Windows Media Center

Original title: Windows Media Center help

    Hello

I'll also have a very similar problem.  Using OTA in cleveland, oh and the same error message, even if I have a problem with 19.1 (CBS) but 19.2 is fine as well as all my other stations.  I have my pc connected to a plasma tv and if I change its entry for antenna 19.1 comes to the fine and they are both connected to the same antenna.  I deleted and re-analyzed for channels and 19.1 is here and checking of its green signal strength but no picture.  I also tried to uninstall/reinstall the (aver Duo media) tv tuner driver nothing works.  This is a recent problem that this system has been since win7 is released and this channel has always worked. If you have found a solution, could you please post.

    UPDATE

OK, I found a solution that worked for me, its the site of hack7mc. http://www.hack7mc.com/2009/09/clearing-Guide-data-and-tuner-Setup-from-Windows-7-Media-Center.html.  I didn't know all the services they have highlighted but I stop those who ran, deleted the db for the guide data and restarted. • BSOD after monitors

    Hello

I just start getting some BSOD. Sometimes after that I have spend monitors using the Windows + P shortcut. I start here her connect / disconnect sound over and over, then the BSOD.

I have an ASUS HD 7970 graphics card

I use the Windows + shortcut P to switch from a connected DisplayPort Samsung 27 "monitor LED series 8 SyncMaster [S27A850T]

a connected HDMI Samsung Plasma TV.

What would someone mind checking the Minidump files to help me work out what is the cause.

I tried to restore my PC Windows 7 64 bit to a point before the BSOD occurred.

I have the latest graphics card driver.

There is an update of the firmware available for your Samsung monitor - did you apply it?  Here is the link: http://www.samsung.com/au/support/newsalert/view?spp_news_seq=36090

You have a connected Applian/Appliand device.  I asked questions with this device back with another poster several months ago and never received a feedback (so I don't know if there is a problem with the drivers of this company).  I suggest you uninstall it until the system is stable again.

There are a few known issues with SSD and old storage controller drivers.  Please ensure that your Kingston SSD has the latest firmware installed - and the storage controllers of your motherboard with the latest drivers available from the manufacturer of storage controller.  The Intel controller drivers so your Marvell date from 2011. Please don't forget to use connections to the Intel controller, once the drivers are updated (update the Marvell even if you don't use it).

As a side note, the GEARAspiWDM.sys has been updated.  I was under the impression that there were not updated available for this purpose (it is usually a part of iTunes).  Have you updated your iTunes between the 2 BSOD?

Video drivers and pilots antivirus date 2011 - these two must be updated to the latest version available (video drivers from ATI and the site of AVG antivirus site

I've never used OEM drivers for one of my monitors in the past - but I wonder if this can help your situation.  Unfortunately I'm unable to locate the drivers for the monitor on the Samsung website.  I suggest that you contact their technical support for information about drivers (they can be integrated into Windows).

  • Output suitable for Satellite P205-S6267 cable available to connect to an HD Plasma TV?

This is my first post. I'm not very well informed about computers.
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P205-S6267 which according to the manual, is supposed to be able to read any DVD HD. I just bought a Samsung 50 "plasma TV model #PN50A400C2DXZA from Sears and it notes that a PC can be connected via a cable, but does not exactly what type of cable is needed.

My question is: the Toshiba has a port "S-video (TV-out)", but the manual Samsung TV shows only two ports of entry that can be used to connect a PC: 1. a D - Sub cable with Audio output of the PC cable and 2. a HDMI/DVI cable with 3.5 mm stereo/2RCA cable.

Can anyone suggest exactly what kind of cable I need to buy to connect the Toshiba PC to the Samsung TV to use the TV works like a PC monitor?

If there is a cable that works, the TV shows PC output in high definition?
    Thank you
    Jim

    Hello Jim

I tried searching in Google which TV you have exactly, but I didn't have success.
Can you please post exact description of the TV model?

In any case, all new TVs have several different ports on the back. In General, you can use most of them. The question is which ports on your laptop TV output.
According to the specifications of the laptop, your laptop has an S-video output port. The same port should be available on TV also. If this isn't the case, you can use the S-Video/RCA cable. RCA yellow port must be available on your TV.

With this single image of cable can be sent to the TV but no sound.
High definition signal can be sent by HDMI cable only but your laptop hasn t this port.

If you have any other questions please post again, or ask in the nearest electronic store. I don't know that they can show you all the cables and adapters, you can use to connect your Satellite to the new TV.

    Good luck!
