  You can try to download the Dell development Pack, E7450 processor and controller is not listed as compatible, but it might still work. Once installed follow these steps:

  1. go in Control Panel

  2. depending on your configuration.

  a. If you see selected category material selection and then Dell keyboard backlight sound settings and change the option "disable the backlight in ' to the desired option. Click on apply.

  Ive recently had to reformat my laptop Toshiba Satellie A660-07U. The reformat was fine and everything seems to be in another order then the problem with the backlit keyboard im. Ive tried the fix key FN but ive been unsuccessful. Media buttons (play/pause, volume, etc. of the buttons next to the Start button) are also not turn on.

  What did you do exactly? Have you installed original Toshiba recovery image?

  Anyway, if I m remembering well the option for keyboard backlight is available in Toshiba HWsetup Toshiba HWsetup tool and check all tabs. One of them must be for lighting.

  Start Toshiba Assist > optimize > Toshiba HWsetup. You will find an option to turn off the backlight on the keyboard.

  Not all laptops the keyboard backlight feature supported.

  If your keyboard would support the backlight then you should see a tiny keyboard sign Z button.

  Then you may activate it using the FN + Z button.

  But if there is no keyboard icon and then the keyboard does not support the backlight.

  I just got my t450s today and when I was getting just my anti virus installation, I noticed that my keyboard backlight won't turn on. I enabled the fn (esc + fn) and it shows that its on but when I click on the space bar button, the backlight doesn't work simply. idk what it is. does anyone have the same thing?
