T60p, T60 card wireless turns off by itself

Hello, any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a T60 and T60p, which have exactly the same problem. When connected wireless after 20-30 minutes the wireless adapter turns off itself. I loaded the drivers updated. I don't use dial-up connections, Windows XP manages the wireless profiles. I made sure that the computer is not stop the wireless card to save energy. I do not supply manager, but I installed the driver of power manager. The map stops and the wireless light turns off but windows will still say that I am connected through wireless. I hit FN + F5 and card status is disabled but I don't have the possibility to change it to on. It will not allow to do me anything. Also, when I close the lid it won't have to stand by mode. I have to do a full reboot to get the wireless operational return. Any help please, it's really annoying. Two laptops using the Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG card.

Thank you!!

In your definition also change to low power and output maximum roaming aggressiveness.

    Hello Schanez,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that your wireless network is disabled and you want to prevent from happening. I'm you provide a document from HP support:laptops HP - Setup to solve Internet connection problems on a wireless network with Windows 7 and, which contains steps to help you solve this problem. I would focus on turn it off device power management section of the options I have installed wireless on below:

Most wireless devices can be configured to turn off the power to reduce the drain on battery power. This is usually not a problem when the laptop is connected to an AC adapter. However, during battery operation, the adapter can be turned off to save energy. To disable this power setting, follow these steps.

    1. Click on start and enter the device in the search box, and then select Device Manager from the list.
    2. Double-click network adapters to lengthen the list, do a right click on the adapter for wireless (WiFi) in the list and select Properties.
    3. In the map properties window, click the power management tab, and then deselect allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option.

Close Device Manager, restart the laptop and trying to reconnect to the wireless network.

Please re-post if you need extra support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Tecra M11 - capacity wireless turns off by itself

I have a Tecra M11 who likes to turn off its wireless capability. It will sometimes go days without doing it, but for example today it did not less than 3 times. He's going to lose contact with my wireless network and when I go to reconnect I see that because the wireless feature is turned off there is no network available. When windows (windows 7 64 bit) allows to solve the problem, he tells me to "turn wireless capability" and if I jump it offers that I plug in an ethernet cable. I checked the physical switch on the front of the computer and also WiFi accessible by the Fn keys toggle switch, the two have no effect on the conviction of my computer that wireless capability is turned off.

My old tecra M9 has also done this, but I didn't expect my other (one month) to do the same thing. I can fix this problem by restarting the computer, but I'm looking for a permanent solution.

    Thanks in advance

    > My old tecra M9 has also done this, but I didn't expect my other (one month) to do the same thing. I can fix this problem by restarting the computer, but I'm looking for a permanent solution.

I think that this is not a problem of WiFi for laptop, but I think that it s related to the WLan router because you had the same problem with Tecra M9.
I recommend updating the firmware on the router first. In addition, you must reconfigure the router again. You will need to play with a different option like the use of different channels of WLan, Wlan encryption, etc.

  • Wireless turns off automatically when streaming long videos

I just bought my VPCEB23FM week last of Best Buy. I started watching some TV shows on hulu.com and if the tv episode is longer than 30 minutes, my wireless adapter turns off by itself.

I see this pop up on the bottom ball right telling me 'My Intel Pro Wireless' has been disabled and I can't just my wireelss switch works to bring it to the top. There is a large red cross where there is usually signal bars.

I have to restart my laptop or turn on/off the wireless adapter for back there only to make it happen as I resume watching the rest of the video.

It does the same thing for any other long streaming video on other sites.

I have already spent my standard wireless WPA2 to WPA with no improvement.

    Help, please!

Sony has suggested a reinstall driver for the wireless network card intel, but that has not worked. I fixed it myself by uninstalling Kaspersky Anti-virus. It seems to be perform smoothly so far (3 hours of three video streams simultaneously).

I saw some Kaspersky NDIS component installed on my wireless adapter and wanted to see if it was a culprit. Restoration of the system to pre-install point seems to have solved the problem (so far). I'll do more testing, but it looks promising.

I have Kaspersky AV google and found a similar question with at least another person who has received a big red X on his wireless adapter whenever he tried to download something or watch a video.

  • C50-A-1HF satellite will turn off by itself after 2 seconds

    Hello

the laptop turns off by itself after 2 seconds when I turn it on. This happens if I shutted down or choosed hibernate before (Win8.1).

This means hibernation is not at all useable.

The next time I turn it on it works quite normal! Sleep mode works as well. Standby mode it is ready for use after open them both as a repetitive. Fascinating!

I looked on all the settings of the BIOS, but I found nothing what could be the reason for this behavior.

Perhaps there is a correlation with another strange behavior. The battery will not be charged over 80%. I do not use the green mode. I have to turn off the laptop and remove the battery completely for a minute. After inserting and booting Win8.1 what it charges again at 100%.

The discharge time is approximately 3.5 hours. Otherwise, the battery is ok.

But after the next discharge up to 10% charge that up to 80% more.

These two effects are not normal. But I don't think (or better, I hope) that there is a material defect.

Is there a chance does not post the laptop to a repair service?

    Best regards

    Onurbi

Hey man it are so strange problems and it's not easy to say what to do. All you can do is to install the original recovery image and test with the settings once more, of course without changing anything or install updates or additional applications.

If possible to do this and test it for a while.
    > Is there a chance does not post the laptop to a repair service?
As you probably know your possibilities to do something about this are very limited and if there is permanent problem I think you should contact the closest service Toshiba and clarify all of this.
You have the new laptop model and it should work properly. If you are not happy and there are service problems Toshiba should take are about it and help you.

  • How do I turn on wireless turn off in the BIOS?

    Hello.

I'm totally new to more technical side of computers so please excuse me if I do not have much sense.

I just bought the Satellite P200 especially for an occasion of home business and there are several requirements that I am trying
to answer, but seem to be failing.
I presented a report of the laptop Belarc to society and they advised that in order to use this laptop that I
have my wireless turned off in my BIOS.

I have not the slightest idea what it means and what I have to do? I've read a few other subjects online which have lost some of
light, but I still do not know how to do and, if it is disabled does that mean I can use is any more?

Basically, I work online in my current line of work and use my laptop (with WiFi) for this but this other thing that I'm trying
getting in requires a disabled wireless network but I still want to use the wireless in my own time, is - it possible?

Thanks in advance for any help, that all the world can offer,

    Natalie.

I don't know if this feature can be disabled in the BIOS, in regards to my machine, you can't do that.

OK, understand your problem, or better, your company's security restrictions.
You can check if you can disable this feature by pressing F2 at startup to the top of your laptop. He enters the BIOS. There simply navigate a bit, if you can find something with disabling wlan.

But you could ask them if it would be ok. When you just turn off wlan using the hardware switch in the front of your machine.

To use wlan for private, you must activate it back, of course.

My Toshiba A110-160 turns off by itself (abruptly) when im making a dvd to divx (autogk for example) conversion.

    Hello

I Don t have a clue why the machine will stop automatically and I can't give you a quick solution, but I can give you an idea how to make some accurate diagnosis:

Remove the newly installed module and try again. Then give some feedback if it worked. If not, he should discuss more about this issue, would appreciate some comments from you.

  • Satellite P15-S470 it turns off by itself - overheating?

    Hello

3-4 years old laptop Toshiba Satellite P15-S470 my father seems to be overheating because it turns off by itself. It can happen at any time: in Windows XP Media Center 2004 (SP2 and all updates), at the prompt of password of BIOS at idle, at Windows startup, etc.

Also, I can feel the fan blowing hot air hard left, the area of the battery being hot and the CD/DVD ejected hot.
Hot note does NOT mean too hot to touch with my hands/fingers.

I used a flashlight to look through the dark wind, and he looked clean (not so dusty or obstructed upward). I removed a few small items to make more air space for the winds, and that seems to help after a few minutes.

Is there a program/software for checking laptop temperature sensors? I checked the CMOS area, but you could not like office machines. Site Web de Toshiba does not have one either.

Are there ways to remedy (out of warranty)? I guess that the fans are still working because I can hear it turn very hard (quieter, if it's cool). I'm afraid it will get worse when the weather warms (Los Angeles weather) in particular this weekend when temperatures reach near 100 degrees (F).

It is only in low 70 in the kitchen downstair on a glass table. The laptop started doing this a few weeks ago, but it seems to get worse when the weather warms. In addition, the laptop is usually [powered on site thanks to its power adapter.

Battery use is rare (will try to remove the battery, if the problem occurs again to see if it causes the problem).

    Thank you in advance. :)

    Hello

You said that the laptop is about 3-4 years of age?
Hey dude, it is a very long time and in my opinion, the laptop must be cleaned professionally.
For me it s a clear case. the fans don't run with maximum efficiency and therefore may not cool properly the laptop parts.

I recommend contacting specialist and portable and it assistance. He could clean the module cooling grids and the fan inside.

  • Why my internet accounts automatically get disconnected after that my computer turns off by itself?

I have a Compaq PC with processor Dual-Core AMD Athlon X 2 5000, and it runs Windows Vista Edition Home Premium... In my view, that is running Service Pack 2. I use the computer to check my e-mail, my YouTube and Facebook accounts (and possibly other accounts spread I connect to).

I usually use Internet Explore to browse the web. Sometimes my computer turns off by itself due to overheating. But whenever when this happens, when I turn my computer back on and return to the use of the Internet, I've totally frustrated to find that all my accounts were automatically disconnected!

Even when I check these boxes to keep me connected to these accounts when I turn on the computer again after a successful stop, my accounts still get disconnected!

It only seems to happen when my computer turns off by itself without stopping... mainly due to overheating. When I turn on the computer again after a successful regular stop, my accounts are automatically saved on once again, due to activate me "Keep me connected" by checking these little boxes. But after a situation when the computer is off all the time (either by himself for a reason, either by me with strength to turn it off when my computer crashes), my accounts do not remain.

How can I prevent my accounts automatically be disconnected so that whenever I start the computer, after it turns off by itself, my internet accounts turned on? There must be a patch for this embarrassing situation here on the internet.

Perhaps because an improper shutdown / forced can inpact on different parameters.
