T61 XGA UPGRADE to SXGA + is worth?

Hi people, I was wondering if this update worth it? The improvement would be noticeable? I currently have screen1024x768 no wide 14.1, I think the sxga + is1400x1050, this screen would be clearer at all? Whereas this screen at this point... Thanks for reading.

No need extra room, plug & play, clean thoroughly the swap.

A Sourcing is something else entirely. Anything from a 14 "T6x/p will work, and you are practically limited to used panels.

Choice when new were Hydis, TDG (Toshiba) and Samsung.

To me, TDG > Hydis > Samsung, but YMMV.

eBay, TPF... good hunting.

    Hello:

The biggest problem you may encounter is that the audio probably does not work once you upgrade to W10.

Other than that, looking at the specifications for your PC it seems that all the other materials should work properly.

If you decide to roll the dice, and after installing W10, there is no audio data, you can try this driver below that worked for others with the same IDT audio chip.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

  • X 51 R2: upgrade to GTX 960 worth?

    Hello!

I am running a 270 R9 GPU in my new X 51 R2 (i7). It is worth the upgrade to a GTX 960? Take a look at gpuboss.com, the R9 270 gets 6.5 points, while the GTX 960 gets 7.1. This doesn't seem to be a big gap... now I wonder if it's woth the 200 euros.

I know that some people managed to upgrade to a GTX 970, but this card is still a little too expensice in my opinion.

Thank you & have a nice day.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't make the jump.
If the R9 270 x already has the same amount of video memory, I would stick with that one.
the GTX 970 is a great upgrade. But those EUR 200 make me think twice as well.

With respect to the speed and the virtual memory of treatment that they are not that far apart. So, no. Personally, I wouldn't go with the upgrade.

    5. Firmware? I've seen videos and forums on (4.1 - I) (5.1) or (6.1). I don't really understand what that means. Should I be concerned?

  • Upgrading CPU for a card mother GL - 8 Cleveland

    Hello

Knowing more or less how to navigate a few availlable information about CPU, MoBo, etc., I was wondering if I could get a good deal on a new processor for my desktop HPE-532fr.

The Mobo is a GL-8 Cleveland (Aka Pegatron Corp 2AB6) with Socket LGA 1155. I have an I7 Sandy Bridge 2600

What audit Ark Intel site, I see that a core of Ivy-bridge could in theory has a H67 Chipset, I'd be interested in putting an Ivy 3770 (with a lower than the Sandy 2600 TDP), here is a comparison of my current CPU and possible:

    (1) the existing Bios HP would work with it? A new Bios (designed for a "3rd generation Core ' MoBo used by HP? sthing else?)

    (2) because the Ivy is 22 nm while Sandy is 32, which results in general form factor problem (conduction of heat from bad through the thermal paste?)

    (3) the 3770 can manage up to 32 GB of memory (DDR3 1600 Mhz PC3 12800), would be - this (speed, memory max) work on the Cleveland and with what BIOS?

    (4) most important: in addition to the memory upgrade (if any?) Worth the increase in performance of the dispute?

    HII,

I know its a strange Question to ask! But still, I want to know if it is Possible to update a graphics laptop or not, in some some Forums they said some laptops can be evolutionary. I have a Hp Envy with a Nvidia Geforce Gt 630 M graphic processor 7206Tx dv6!

    Please help me!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello:

It is quite a strange question.  Some of the very high-end business notebook work stations can have repeating graphics cards.

Your model does not have a graphics card.  The Intel and nvidia GPUS are chips soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded or replaced.

The only way to update the graphics in most patterns of consumption would be to replace the motherboard together with a support, which may have better graphics.

I think the only other board you could get was the GT 650 M GPU nvidia and this upgrade is probably not worth the effort or money to undertake.

  • T60 60 GB SATA 320 GB HARD drive upgrade

I know just enough to be dangerous, please bear with me.

I have a T60 1953 - D7U with the original Toshiba 60 GB HDD SATA/150, which is saturated.  I've used Norton Ghost to copy the 60 GB drive to a Fijitsu 320 HDD SATA/300, which was in an external USB enclosure.  Both are 5400 RPM.  I copied the MBR.

After that I installed the 320 GB drive, the T60 will not start.  Using F12 to interrupt the boot process, I see the listed 320 GB drive, but apparently it does not appear as a boot drive.

Is there anything else I need to do for the T60 to boot from the new drive?

Note: the controller SATA Mode Option is set to "AHCI".  The other option is "compatibility."   That this has something to do with it.

Add ' l Info: initially, I tried to copy the 60 GB and the 320 GB using Acronis True Image v7.0 which was on a bootable CD.  Acronis has a msg of error E000101F4 No. Drive 0 Found.  She not only saw the attached USB 320 GB drive.  That's why I went to Ghost.  Y at - it no problem using Ghost for this copy?

Thank you very much for your time.

    Pontiac196, welcome to the forum,

the SATA mode has nothing to do with it, the problem here is that your player target must be inserted as primary drive in your T60 for the cloning process to work.

  • Toshiba 46TL938: 3D playback choppy when PC to TV via HDMI

    Hello

I have a very specific problem and cannot identify exactly what the problem maybe. In short:

-J' have a 3D film which is read by VLC but also KMplayer.
-On my monitor 23 "1080 p via HDMI, the film plays well enough and smooth.
-On my Toshiba 46 "HDTV playback on 3D sometimes accused, exactly the same thing when a computer cannot handle the load and the shifts on video playback.
-J' tried to put the film on a USB and connect it to the TV. Then playback of 3D on the TV was really smooth without any lag.

If the facts are executives work well on a HD 23 "(playedback with VLC and KMplayer) monitor, but also run smooth on my laptops screen."
Fact is also that the same movie plays smooth a Flash USB plugged into the TV.

I tried with another movie (no 3D) listen to from my laptop via HDMI on my TV. This worked pretty well without any lag.

    (1) so my main question is if the movie is not correct, why play it right back via a USB, but not through my laptop.

    (2) in addition, if my computers vga portable would be unable to handle the 1080, I guess that reading also lag on my monitor 23 "which is also 1080.

I have really no idea if it's the movie, TV or vga that has the problem.
    Any suggestion would be great.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hardware information:
    TV: Toshiba 46TL938
Notebook: Xi of Fujitsu Amilo 2528

    Hello

I put t thinks that his TV show.
First of all using USB flash memory, the movie is managed by Toshiba media player and second the data does not need to be send via cable.

The notebook movie streaming, you send the signal to the TV via an HDMI cable. 3D movies contains a lot of data and this could affect the playback quality streaming of data from one device to another.

So if you have seen some interruptions during playback, it could be linked to the HDMI cable.
If your HDMI connection is capable of 1080 p and/or your TV is capable of greater than 50 Hz refresh rate, need you a cable of category 2. Conventional HDMI/DVI cable may not work properly with this model. Also try a short cable (1.5 to 2 m)

You should also consult the user manual * 88.* page
The HDMI on the TV inputs accept the VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA and SXGA signal formats that are
as shown in table _page 88_ VESA-compatible.

Since some PC and HDMI or DVI input signals of devices which differ of the resolution and frequency that are described in the table, the following phenomenon can happen; _incorrect display, detection of fake format, failure of position photo, blur or judder_.

In this case, set the monitor output on your PC, HDMI or DVI device to conform to a signal in the table you will find in the user manual.

  • HP 15 laptop: hp laptop update

Hello, I had the computer hp laptop 15-f010dx for a decent amount of time and I decided to get improvements. I'll get another 8 GB of ram for empty housing and an ssd card. But I don't know what kind of video card I can use for my laptop for small gamind. If I do it again, is to upgrade my characteristics a good idea for this laptop?

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

Upgrade memory is on page 30 and an authorized end user element. Not very difficult. Based on the specification your laptop has 4 concerts in a single module, and you should have an open slot. This is the RAM you need:

Part number 691740-001 or equivalent (you can search for Kingston or critical).

I humbly, suggest that it is better to add a 4 GB for a total of 8 to add an 8 for a total of 12. If you add another identical module of 4 gig memory will run in mode dual channel which is faster. It is unlikely that you can use effectively all more than 8 GB of RAM, but 4 to 8 GB is an upgrade to the final sentence.

The HDD to the SSD upgrade is more difficult. See page 46. This upgrade requires disassembly of a broad and jeopardizes security. That said, you will be OK if you are careful and do not damage anything. The SSD upgrade is very definitely worth the cost and effort.

Unfortunately, there's just no viable way to add a graphics card. It is simply not possible with a laptop where the video chip is soldered to the motherboard. You could theoretically share in a motherboard of another similar model with a discreet video chip but the cost and the effort is not worth it. It is even more difficult by a long shot than the SSD upgrade.

Post back if you need help most.

  • Plug-in for importing the library of Photos of OSX to Lightroom?

Hi all, I upgraded a library iPhotos to the new Photos app when it first came out. Since I am aware that Lightroom had a 'Import iPhoto' plugin, I always thought a 'Import of Photos' plugin would be available. But from my research on the Internet, it seems that Adobe has not developed a. My problem is that I have spent a lot of time to organize my photos into albums in the new library of Photos app, and I can't afford to redo all this back in Lightroom. These aren't simple stereotypes that can be simply rearranged by date - they are images of a multi-year research project and have 36 000 photographs relating to very specific categories of information. Given that many photos appear on several albums, it is not as easy as the export of each album as a group to, and then import them into Lightroom to keep separated/grouped.

I would be grateful for any help on how to import my library of Photos in Lightroom (CC or other) while keeping the organization from the album - the knowledge to see if Adobe (or a third-party developer?) has plans to make a plug-in similar to the one they had for iPhotos. Essentially, the current limitation means that I cannot become a permanent user of Lightroom and will to always be attached to my Photos app.

PS - open my photo library in iPhoto does not work either - it shows that the albums I've done until I upgraded to Photos, not worth year-end additional organization I've done since. I was surprised by that, because I was hoping it would be a miracle solution (i.e. opening of new photo library in iPhoto, then using "Import from iPhoto" Lightroom plugin).

You should be able to export versions of Photos with IPTC metadata. Export to the desktop or even better, in a folder on a regular basis using the Finder. Import duplicates in Lightroom and you should be able to quickly use keywords to make collections if you add temporary words prior to export.

  • N550D - 10G is it worth to upgrade RAM and OS?

I am about to buy a N550D - 10G but am not sure whether or not it is worth upgrading the OS Win7 HP and memory at 4 GB or stick with Win7 Starter and upgrade to 2 GB.

All the advice from someone who did or would be appreciated.

Well, more RAM means your laptop would go faster even if you want to use several applications at the same time, so 4 GB RAM is a good idea, I recommend upgrading the memory to 4 GB of RAM.

Upgrade to a higher version of Windows 7 is not really necessary if you n t really need the feutures provided with a higher version of operating system.

Here, you can compare the different versions of Win 7:
