Tab shortcut in the shortcut properties

The shortcut tab has mysteriously disappeared from my Vista 64 shortcut properties.  I right-click and 'properties' and information arrives, but the tab shortcut, isn't here.  Something must have happened recently to change but I can't imagine that.

Even the shortcuts that I for one was the tab a few weeks ago now don't have it (I know because I had used this tab to change their icons).

So if anyone has an idea on how to solve this problem, I'd appreciate hearing it.

Hah! I never noticed this checkbox. I bet that's the problem. But now all system restore went for some reason any.

Anyway, I did some more research on mine and it seems that my DVD service Pack1 included as service pack 2 is the only one that appears in my list of installed updates.  So I think I'll save my hard to replace the files, prepare to try the upgrade of repair. The computer is perfectly usable outside the strange missing tab so there is no immediate urgency.

Thanks much to Mick and Lorien for advice. I'll pop in later and let you know how it went.

Oh - one last question.

Did an install of windows 'clean' completely erase the hard drive as if I did a format or let it files outside the windows single directory structure.  If I do a full reinstall I can live with reinstall all my software, but I have a ton of data files that I prefer not to see disappear.  If I move out of the folder 'My Documents' they will survive a clean reinstall where I do not reformat the disk partition?

Always back up your data to an external source.

Never reply on your main hard drive.

And a facility normally clean wipes your own HD everything.

Read the info below re clean install:

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

After installation > go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > get latest Vista drivers for it > download/install them.

Save all data, because it will be lost during a clean installation.

  • Customize the tab missing in the Properties menu.

As a general rule, when you right click on a folder, there will be a tab customize, so a user like me can add an image in the folder.

I have studied this problem. I tried to move to folders origins by clicking on "position to open the folder" then clicking on properties, always not to customize the menu. A referred page edited the registry keys, I tried hesitantlyh, but I have no tab customize under the folder properties.

    Ideas?

I found the answer to my problem. I had to manually reset the tab in regedit.

    Reach:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ directory------shellex------PropertySheetHandlers
    There is a key called:
    {ef43ecfe-2ab9-4632-bf21-58909dd177f0}
Mine has a space in front of it, the space was making it so the tab would not come.
If you do not have the add key and the tab will come, otherwise, make sure the key is exactly as shown.

  • Problems with the UI Flash CC. Mainly, I can't click on some buttons and textboxes on different modal windows. (for example. Scale and rotate the sound properties.

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone else has problems of this kind. I basically only to find a bunch of different buttons, fields and the tabs do not respond to my clicks. This seems to be spread throughout the application.

I had to work around most of this by using the tab and arrow keys to navigate around the modal buttons and fields... but it's a bit of a pain.

There are certain parts of the interface that are not accessible via the tabs and the arrow keys... for example tab ActionScript in the Sounds Properties window... There is no way to do that... and by clicking on the tab itself does nothing, although I can see that the rollover of the tab State is enabled.

I ended up having to run Flash CS6 in order to define the classes of the export of audio files, and it's a major pain.

Interface issues similar user exist with other things... for example, the color picker (eyedropper) seems to choose colors near, but not directly under him.

I'll be honest... I'm running on Windows 7... Via boot camp on a Mac Book Pro with the retina display... so questions could come from this combination. However... Flash CS6 has these questions... so I can only think that it is a matter of Flash CC.

I appreciate any input you can provide. (Although the obvious 'it on OSX rather run' or "just use CS6" are not the kind of responses I'm looking for.) I have my reasons for installation. )

    Thank you.

    Cheerfully,.

    Mohan thanks!

Scaling text to 100% actually works!

After that I changed the scale to 125%, it still works (which was not planned)

Thank you, toinimj59.  I did this part and the installation is complete (there is apparently not earlier--included an acceptance of the general terms and conditions...)

Solution 1: Disconnect from the desktop creative cloud app and reconnect

    1. Disconnect from and to, the app Office creative Cloud click here for instructions to return in
    2. Launch of Lightroom.
  • New tab shortcut doesn't work does not correctly

I've upgraded to Firefox 4 yesterday. When I only have one tab open, by pressing the keyboard shortcut for a new tab (Ctrl + T), nothing happens. The same happens when I have several tabs open, but the first (leftmost) path is selected. If other is selected, control + T works fine.

You have this problem when running in Firefox SafeMode?
    A troubleshooting mode.

    1. you can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode hold the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.

    2. or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox to open it again.

  • The Desktop tab in the display properties freezes computer

I have Windows XP, SP3. When I try to change the wallpaper by clicking on the Office tab lock. Nothing happens. If I try to close the display properties, I get a message saying that he does not, with RunDLL32.exe in the title bar. The other tabs in display properties work fine. I've run several virus and malware detection programs and they found nothing. No idea what's happening, and how can I solve this problem?

I had the same problem. Finally I started to think: why did this happen? I searched the registry for "Wallpaper" and maybe one of the proposed mentions it's a timeout to 20000 in relationship with the module property of the wallpaper (which units I don't know), so I left the display properties > Desktop tab in the State "suspended" over lunch. When I came back to it the destop by bike through the regular options (so you can choose one of them). I then went through and find my own picture of a hummingbird bird, and it works fine now. Without doubt, I deleted the picture bird Hummingbird long ago and had forgotten this is the desktop wallpaper.

    I hope this helps.

  • What is the function of support biredirectional activate the tab of the printer properties ports?

What is the function of support biredirectional activate the tab of the printer properties ports?

Back in the day, the printers were an output device only when the computer would simply send your print job to the printer and it would print (or not).  Now printers 'reply' to your computer and notify you levels of ink and toner low, paper jams, termination of success/failure, etc.    Enable bidirectional support allows the printer to 'reply' to your computer.

  • Additional tabs are missing from the display properties

original title: display problems (broken display properties window)

Well, I have a truckload of display problems, many of them are probably related, but I will address these one at a time. I'll start with my display properties.

When I open the display properties, I get this little window:

    http://img.Photobucket.com/albums/V371/battousaiofnphiles/screencaps/BrokenControlpanel1.jpg

Look at it carefully, it is supposed to look like this:

    http://img.Photobucket.com/albums/V371/battousaiofnphiles/screencaps/BrokenControlpanel2.jpg

Now, whenever I start the computer I have to reinstall my display driver and reset my display properties. When you reset my 600x800px at 1440 x 900 screen, I have to select one click on the theme 'Apply' before I give myself the tabs to set different individual elements of the screen and click 'Apply' to effectively apply my desired settings.

Now I have a Vid card for replacement in the mail which I think should solve the forced back on the display driver, but I'm confident that's not going to solve the problem of display properties broke.

    * EDIT *.
I'm running on Windows XP Professional SP3.

Original question is resolved. I open a prompt of commands and regsvr32 /i shell32 then restarted and enter regsvr32 themeui. My gfx card is always failing to start, but once started, the tabs are back where they belong.

  • How can I start firefox with new tab instead of the blank page?

Today I've updated firefox to 13.0. I like the new 'new type '. I want to know how can I start firefox with new tab instead of the blank page?
I don't want to change the home page to about: newtab.

    Sorry for my bad English.

You can add about: newtab to the command line in the shortcut to the desktop Firefox to open this page on startup (target).

    • "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"-new - tab on: newtab
  • The 'New tab' button at the end of the tab bar disappeared and I don't know how to bring it back.

  • How can I change the popular tab just below the Awesome bar. There are predefined sites I have ever used and would add the ones I use. Thank you!

The popular tab is on the same line as the Bookmarks tab.

You can change or remove the folders in the bookmarks toolbar. For example, you can click the right-click (or Mac equivalent) to access properties or remove.

To move the items, it is probably easier to use the dialog library, also known under the name the bookmarks Organizer.

    Bookmarks > show all bookmarks

Here you can move items between the bookmarks toolbar and main menu of bookmarks.

    It work?
