• New tab will not open

  When I click to open a new tab, the new tab does not open. Some web pages open new tabs correctly. I tried safe mode and new tabs will open correctly in the corresponding mode. I use Norton to anti-protection against viruses. What is Norton causing the problem or am I looking for another cause?

• Thunderbird 31.0: Tabs open not record leaving

  When I close Thunderbird 31.0 with tabs open and restart once the formerly tabs are not restored. The same problem I have with the file of the selected account. At the start of the Thunderbird don't remember. With older versions, it worked without any problem.

• Why Firefox will allow me to have several tabs, but not allow me to switch between tabs and can only watch a new tab when closing the previous?

  Everytime I open a new tab, it appears on the tab bar where it should, but if I click on it nothing happens, the tab does not open, and I can't switch between multiple tabs. The only way to get a new tab is to close one on that I am currently, and even then it will only open the next tab in the order of precedence, so I can't even choose which tab is next to see. This problem makes it impossible to use firefox as a research tool that requires quick change back and forth between pages in multiple tabs at the same time.

• Why are the address bar and tabs does not?

  When I try to press on enter after that I typed in a site, it will not go on the site and when I click on the new button control or press tab + t new tab is not displayed although the new window still works, but I can't go to any site without using the Google search bar.

  Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

• I upgraded to latest version firefox 29,0 in windows machine 7. All the user interface looks very good. Undo close tab does not work for me. Is that not been addressed?

  You can try to start Firefox in Mode safe to see if Firefox works correctly without error? You can start Firefox in Mode safe below:

  If Firefox opens fine with no problems, it is probably one of your extensions that is causing the problem. You can reactivate your modules one by one until you find the one that is causing the problem to be re-activated.

  If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

  Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

  • If you have many extensions then first turn on half of test extensions that half the problem.
  • Continue to divide the bad half that still has the question until you find that one is causing it.

  Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

  Disable «Conduit Plugin»

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.

  Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?

  I had firfox version 22 I guess... Now, today morning I upgraded to v 23. It displays a message from one of the plug-in is not compatible with wud and therefore be disabled. now later I still once downloaded the plug in to check if its works or not but TI worked (as I had already guessed), or its display in modules or plug-ins.

  Now I don't get why the new tab does not work. Not at all. Its so very annoying. I googled the question and tried to reset firefox and the new tab in subject parameter: config. But nothing helped.

  I think that its because of this plug-in I've read somewhere that the parameters can be getting replaced by one of the defective Add-ons.

  You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.

• Firefox 16.0.1 warns about closing multiple tabs but not defined options to warn

  Firefox itself upgrade just 16.0.1 version. Now, when you try to close multiple tabs, I get the warning "confirm close" even if the option "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is not checked.
  I tried checking this option, confirming the change, then uncheck this new option & confirming 2nd change, too. This made no difference. Firefox is obedient not the setting of the option.

  The problem only occurs before the update of 16.0.1 but occurred at the first session, subsequently and has persisted since.

  I changed the value of browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction from 2 to 0. Now pop-ups will open in a new tab instead of new window, which is cool.
  But still firefox goes immediately to the ToolTip that gets opened in a new tab.
  I want to have firefox in a way that, when a pop-up window is opened in a new tab, do NOT pass it immediately.

  Note: The option "when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" in the menu Options-> tabs, is already disabled.
