Task Scheduler: Disconnect automatically w / global warming

I was wondering how I could create a regular disconnection. I want students to be automatically logged out of their computers. I used the Task Scheduler to run the closing session at some point, what works. I was wondering if there was an argument that I could add to give the students some kind of warning. I know I could create a separate task to give the warming of the planet, but I'd like to l as happens within the same event.

• Task Scheduler: how to automatically sync my USB?

I've known the right settings to synchronize automatically my USB flash drive with the files on my computer, but I forgot. I use a synchronization and backup program called ´SyncBack´. It works fine, but I want it to run automatically whenever I put in my USB flash drive.

To schedule the task, follow the steps below:

• Get the player starts automatically with Task Scheduler

Hello

I don't believe this, or a similar one, the question was asked, so I hope I'm not repeating another thread :)

I would like to program iTunes (or potentially any multimedia player) to start playing automatically every morning and mix all my music or a playlist - in other words I don't want to hear a song over and over again.

I tried to implement a task in the Task Scheduler tasks and at the agreed time, the computer sounds like its trying to do something, the blue (instead of the classic mouse pointer) circle appears, but then nothing... though the Scheduler runs the task.

I have a computer Dell laptop, Inspiron and Windows 8... would be great to do this work, any help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

This will vary depending on the media player program to use. But the General method to do this is to set up a scheduled task that starts the program of the media player (.exe file) and also specifies what playlist to play.

With Windows Media Player, it would look like this in the Task Scheduler (you can test the command by pressing on +R and put it in the box run).

"%ProgramFiles% (x 86) %\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /play "c:\users\shawn\music\Playlists\MorningList.wpl".

Note that this entire command on one line (it does not fit everything on this Web page). Obviously, you'll need to adjust the location of the saved playlist file.

• How to automate the process of loading data using load file & Task Scheduler

Hello

I do the automated processes to load the data into Hyperion Planning application using the file data_Load.bat & Scheduler of tasks.

I created Data_Load.bat file, but the rest of the process, I cannot complete.

Could help you me, how to automate the process of loading data using the file Data_load.bat & task Scheduler or what are the rest of the file is require it to achieve.

Thank you

In response to your question using the maxl for loading scripts?

If Yes, I've seen and deliver in the batch (ex: load_data.bat) that is you do not have the path of the maxl script complete with a batch when passing through the event the task scheduler will work, but the log file and / or error will not be created. Which means lots claims it linked task scheduler, although he did not do what you need to.

If you use maxl use this as the batch

"essmsh C:\data\DataLoad.mxl" or you can also use the full path for the maxl or work elsewhere. The only reason why I think that the maxl can then not work is if you do not have the updated batch updated to call on all LANE changes maxl or if you need to update your environment variables to correct the command essmsh to work in a command prompt.

Windows 2008? Open the Task Scheduler, Action > creates a fundamental task, give it a name, select the frequency, select start a program, find the batch script, then you're pretty much done for a basic task.

• Failed to create task scheduler to restart the system automatically within the given interval

Dear experts,

I have two accounts on my computer. One was a Director and another was normal user. but the two users are protected by Word.

When I log in as normal user, how can I set a task in the Scheduler to restart the computer once every 6 hours.

Thank you

KP Swamy

Hello PK Swamy.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

The Task Scheduler service lets you perform tasks on a chosen computer automated. With this service, you can program any program to run at a convenient time for you, or when a specific event occurs. Task Scheduler monitors the time criteria or the event that you choose and execute the task when these criteria are met.

I understand that you are not able to create the Task Scheduler to restart the system. Please, I beg you, don't worry I'll try my best to resolve the issue.

I suggest you try the following steps to create the Task Scheduler:

1. click on start, type taskschd.msc in the start search box and press enter (it will launch the Task Scheduler).

Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation and click Ok.

2 left click in the right pane on the Task Scheduler Library > open Action in main menu > new folder > name MyTasks > click Ok.

3. left-click on the MyTasks > menu, choose Action > create a basic task (it open Assistant tasks).

4. you can enter the name , for example "restart" and click on Next.

5. in the trigger section, you can specify when you want to run your task, for example:

a. Select daily and the press Next.

b. now you can specify the day, time and all reproduce on a daily basis, after the press Next.

6. in the Action section, you can choose what you want to run, for example, restart your system to do this:

a. choose start a program and press on Next.

b. in the field program/script , type shutdown /r and click on Next.

7. click on end.

• Error 1068: Task Scheduler cannot start, impossible defragmentation

I tried to defrag my sister's computer and ran into a problem. Defragmentation wouldn't because Task Scheduler would not start. Long story short: operating system Windows 7. My attempts to solve the problem, there are messages that I continued to receive:

"Windows would not start the Scheduler Service on the Local computer.

and

"ERROR 1068: the dependency service or group could start."

Please, I need help. Any ideas? Do you need more information?

Thank you in advance,

Laura

Hi Laura,

Open windows control panel, open administrative tools, and then open Services. First check both of these services.

Remote procedure (RPC) call This service should show started and startup type must be automatic.

Windows event log This service should show started and startup type must be automatic.

If you need to change the settings of the two services above, right-click on the service and select Properties. Select Automatic from the drop-down list and click on apply. Once finished, click on the Start button to see if the service starts successfully.

Task Scheduler This service should show started and startup type must be automatic.

If you have made changes, see if the disk defragmentation utility will now work.

Let me know if this does not help the issue.

Kind regards

DP - K

• Windows xp Task Scheduler service does not start

I have a problem with the Task Scheduler in XP SP3 (home edition) service. The service is configured to start automatically, but hangs during startup and the State is 'starting' permanently In this State, I can't start or stop the service manually. If I disabled the service completely, restart, put it to manual and click Start, I get the following error:

Unable to start the task on the local computer Scheduler service
Error 1053: The service did not demand launch or control in a timely

I am under an administrator with a password account, so that shouldn't be the problem
The CPP and the services event log work correctly (Autostart value)

I need to get this service running in order to allow the read-ahead on this pc. Currently the prefetch folder is totally empty the .ini file is missing as well as all the .pf files. I tried to rebuild the .ini with the help of the > rundll32.exe advapi32.dll, ProcessIdleTasks< command="" at="" the="" command="" prompt="" but="" this="" doesn't="" do="" anything,="" probably="" because="" of="" the="" lack="" of="" the="" scheduler="" service.="" in="" the="" registry,="" enable="" prefetcher="" is="" set="" to="" 3,="" monitoring="" both="" applications="" and="">

Scheduler tasks and prefetch worked very well - I think that a setting in the registry is damaged or missing. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

It's curious. The ST journal file must be in the Windows folder.

I downloaded a copy of the file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311
When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

I don't know where to put the file mstask.ini - windows\system32 maybe? There is no .ini file in the folder inf. so I don't know and you may need to try different places and keep reading...

I don't think I've never reinstalled TS (but other things) so I did all the instructions on how to do it, but if the installation stops and asks you for a file, at this point, leave the installation 'wait' and then search your HARD drive for the file he wants to (be sure to include the search for hidden and system files too) and if/when you find return to the installation of waiting and fill the void or navigate to the folder where the installation file is enough (point installation where the file is, so it can find the file he wants to) and continue up to the next point. You may need to do it for multiple files until you get all the way through it and you will see that some are just not on your HARD drive and you need to download. You can't cancel the installation and start over every time - just work through a single file at a time by pointing the installation to the folder where the file he needs.

Maybe later, I reinstall my TS service to practice and be able to understand the files he needs and give some better advice about this.

Comodo may also interfere (I do not use it, but it's possible). Did you see if your TS will start with disabled Comodo?

You should also consider the malware, then you might want to start with this:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
• How to set the MRT to run in Task Scheduler

In my work, I was asked to define Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool to run every month by setting up in Task Scheduler. We have an anti virus already, that we have just been asked to do what more than protection. I don't know how manually pull up of mrt and select full scan, but how can I put it to run automatically on the pc in the Task Scheduler without that person having to be there to start the program. I like it to auto-start, scan and nearby without that person having to be there to do it. We use Windows xp. Can someone help me?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but "Microsoft releases an updated version of this tool the second Tuesday of each month and the need to respond to security incidents" If you really want to plan the MRT you downloaded in March to run each month until December.

The MRT is included in the updates on "Patch Tuesday". It runs automatically when it is first downloaded. How is your company on the regular critical updates?

• Task Scheduler has stopped working

This message is displayed every time that I plug in an external display on my Dell D430 laptop device. My Microsoft wireless keyboard stops working, like the mouse. The display used to propose automatically sized correctly, but now it doesn't either.
This also happens when I use the docking station. Sometimes, the USB ports do not see my external devices that occur, as well.

JimPuerto,
There is a task in Task Scheduler called TMM (Microsoft transient multi-monitor Manager). Try to go into the Task Scheduler and disabling TMM (Microsoft transient multi-monitor Manager).

To access the Task Scheduler in Vista, go to the Start Menu and type Task Scheduler in the search box. In the "Task Scheduler Library", select Microsoft-> Windows-> MobilePC. "TMM" right click and select "disable." You will need sign out and then sign back in to make the changes take effect.

When you open the Task Scheduler, I get 2 exceptions:

"The task schedule service is not available." The job scheduling will attempt to reconnect to it. »

and

"Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)).

I did basic stuff like the restart Task Scheduler service, restart the computer, etc.. Problem persists.

Answers are greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Looking at the services once again, I see that the service is "started" but is more stoppable.

Hi GosuSheep,

Follow the methods and check them off below if it solves the problem.

Method 1:

Scan the file system (CFS) auditor. This command will launch immediately the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replace all the files with which it detects a problem.

Link, please refer to: how to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2:

Run the disk check in Windows Explorer

a. double-click my computer and then click on the system drive.

b. click on properties, then Tools.

c. sous-verification of errors, click check now. A dialog box that shows the check disk options is displayed.

d. Click to select the automatically fix file system errors check box and then click Start.

e. If you receive the following message appears, click schedule disk check:

f. Windows cannot check the drive while it is in use. You want to schedule the disk check to occur the next time that you restart the computer?

g. restart the computer to start the disk check.
