Tasks grouped to the right of the taskbar?

Recently, when I turned on my Windows Vista laptop, I noticed that all my tasks have become the itty-bitty icons grouped to the right side of my taskbar, to the left of the notifications bar.  There is plenty of space for them to spread out in the task bar, so I'm puzzled as to why they moved.  I can is no longer simply click on I want to open it.

My taskbar is at the bottom of my office and I tried to resize.  He made the bar higher, while tasks are always grouped together as tiny thumbnails.  What can I do to solve this problem, so that I can access run programs without closing everything?

-Right click on your task bar, and then press properties.
-Uncheck the box where it says "lock taskbar" and click on apply.
-You should now see the dots.
-Hold the points to the left of the tabs you want to move, and then drag the em to the left of the task bar.
-When you've got your tabe where you want, right click on your taskbar, then press proterties.
-Now check the taskbar "lock" - box and your points should disappear and your tabs should be where you placed.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

  • using the taskbar icon made a right-click menu options 'tasks' disappeared

I'm on FF 34.0.5 running on Windows 7 Ultimate (V6.1 Build 7601, SP1). Since a few days the options of 'tasks' on the right, click on the menu of the taskbar icon disappeared. The rest is two (three times current running FF) lines: unpin and FF.
I tried the solution proposed by https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/994990 without success. The browser.taskbar.lastgroupid keeps returning to this string "E7CF176E110C211B" as the set of users.
I even uninstalled completely, including the folder in Program Files and my FF profile. None of the measures has helped.

The highest browser.taskbar... has the same value after re-installation. The key containing this value is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Firefox\TaskBarIDs, with two values "default = not defined" and "C:\\Program Files (x 86) \\Mozilla Firefox" = "E7CF176E110C211B."

How can I return this feature?

  • icon of the taskbar right-click menu 'task' gone

When I right click on the taskbar icon, I used to get several options, including a section called tasks. However, for about two days, I now only get three options of Mozilla Firefox, remove this program from the taskbar and close the window. I don't know where the options to open a new tab, open a new window, etc. I did change all the parameters of topic: config and tried to reinstall firefox without success. If there is a possible fix, please help.

Edit, I rechecked to the subject: config just now and found that browser.taskbar.lastgroupid keeps returning to the user being bold. I'm certain I have reset the first time, but I did it again for fun and at least for now I seem to have the right click menu rear complete with tasks and frequent. It appears when you press ctrl + shift + ESC? It seemed before? You are an administrator on this computer or is it a corporate system?

  • Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I wasn't staying on the left (that's why I first open). How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?

Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I want to keep it on the left (that's why I first open).  How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?  I'm talking about the buttons on list of my open applications and documents in Windows Vista.  The bar tasks are "locked", but the button of the window open with gmail in internet explore reappears suddenly in the good moments apparently random.

It is in the middle part of the taskbar (what I found online so far is on the start menu, the quick launch area or area/system tray of notification, the location of the taskbar in full, either about grouping taskbar - I disabled because I would like to separate).  Can anyone help?  I don't understand why this is happening (or why microsoft would never do).

Lock the taskbar that it prevents to be moved elsewhere on the office and maintains the different sections where they are - it does not block the tabs showing what is open where they were when they were opened.  There is no control for this function.  Maybe if you uncheck similar taskbar buttons group it will help, but I honestly don't know (and fear he won't make any difference - it may even make things worse).  This also happens to me and I was unable to find an answer.  I think that there are more than just random, but I can't telll you why he moves the legs periodically (sometimes it works fine all day and other days it happens almost immediately).  But still, there is no control for this function, so there is no way to tell him to keep a specific order or to lock an established order, once it has been created.  I suspect that it happens because the notification area icons appear and hide and new programs open and close and which changes the amount of space available and so he rearranges things so that they match and apparently does not always consider the original sequence in which the elements have been added.  Maybe if you remove the Quick Launch toolbar and then add again, the order will reset (but that I know not - probably not in the original sequence, which I doubt is logged nowhere - it did not work when I tried it).

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to this problem (and I spend a little time looking for even before myselff posed the question) and do not believe that there is a.  It is also unfortunate that you can't move them so they can be put back in the right order if they change.  I don't think that there is nothing wrong with your system or that it is something that can be repaired or fixed - it's just the way it is and we just have to live with it.  I don't know any 3rd party software that controls the order of tabs open in the taskbar program (but you can check out Bing, Gooogle,www.tucows.comand www.download.com to see if I'm wrong on this - here n "t all when I looked trying to solve this problem for my own system).

I'm sorry it wasn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.  I don't know if it's different in Windows 7.

    Good luck!

  • Do not want multiple windows group in the task bar, I want two icons of TB

    2 questions:

    (1) how can I create several icons in the taskbar to launch firefox?
I want two to open normal windows and a third to launch a private window. (I have a keyboard shortcut for the window private opening already, but I want in the taskbar)

    (2) I don't want Firefox to group several windows in the taskbar. I wish each window to be its own icon. (Not for each tab, but each window)

    Preventive thanks!

Of course, it would be one thing to windows instead of one thing to firefox. Don't know what I was thinking yesterday.

    Thank you!

On Win.8.1, it's as simple as:

Auto hide has been giving me problems is not there when windows open at first, but after about an hour 1/2, he appears as usual.
