  Permissions and security issues with Vista/Win7?
  

  Check the following settings.

  All the users who are allowed to share need to have an account on all computers that they are allowed to connect to.

  Now, just to be clear: the only thing that serves as the link above is to change Dell records as to who belongs to the tablet.  It changes nothing on the tablet itself.  It's just an administrative matter, which can facilitate matters if your daughter-in-law needs to talk with Dell on the Tablet (for help or otherwise) or Dell with it.

  I noticed that Lightroom was running slow so I thought it was time to take stock. (I was using Lightroom 5.7). Yesterday, I downloaded the last LR update, which is Lightroom CC [1067055]. I thought that Lightroom CC would replace 5 Lightroom but apparently they have downloaded as separate applications. When I tried to launch Lightroom CC I got an error message indicating "Lightroom has met permission issues. I followed the directions from this link met Lightroom user permissions problems. Bridge of Photoshop Lightroom crashes or hangs at the launch but it does not set itself (I did not take the final step which is - create a new user account). I was working off of Yosemite, so I hope that the error can be corrected if I updated my operating system. Today, I downloaded El Capitan and Lightroom CC will not always open - I get the same error. I went to manually update the read and write permissions for the folders listed, but some of them don't make changes. The preferences file gives me an error saying "the operation cannot be performed because you don't have the necessary authorization." I don't have the "Adobe" folder in this route Caches

  Try this:

  the Macintosh HD > users > [your user folder... click on 'Go' on the options bar at the top on the desktop (Menu bar) > then click on the 'option' key > mouse down to the selection of 'Library' that should appear > click on it to open the folder /Users/ [your user name] /Library/ ' "]

  You should now find the appropriate folders to change permissions. Just give your user name of the read/write permissions. I don't think you want to give everyone the read/write permission as some authors have claimed.

  The files I download while I'm using your browser (stuff like utilities files I download to try, so .exe files) are currently underway in My Documents/Downloads and this folder is EA games Sims3 downloads default in this file, it is their default folder. When files by default to there, it is a mess for my Sims3 game and it slows down.

  IE has abandoned (?) my Windows XP Pro/Media Edition OS it seems, and not even my Youtube load on IE 8.0.6001.187021C.   Do you mean that you want to save your files where you want? If so, then I would go to your menu bar or the tab Firefox orange. If you use the Menu bar, go to tools and click on Options (it's down). A window will open. On the general tab, click "always ask me where to save files. If you have the orange tab of Firefox, click on it and go to the second column. Mouse over the Options and click on the first thing you see, it must indicate the Options. Then a window will open. Make sure you are on the general tab and click on 'Always ask me where to save files' (this is the same as the use of the Menu bar). Or, the above option which is to choose a folder you want to backup all your files in.

  (Sorry I seem to have accidentally pressed on enter...) My Library Caches file does not contain an adobe folder. What is the cause of my problems open Lightroom? and if so, how to fix?

  I couldn't easily on XP to Win7. I have 2 users on the user page. I just bought a Dell Vostro with Windows 7. I'm working on several problems trying to learn Win7 after using XP, but it's just an annoyance. Otherwise biggest problem is trying to connect to sites on Google, like Blogger. By removing the DirectX I managed to connect to Blogger on IE but still does not work in Firefox (my favorite browser)
